Awesome thread is awesome. Also, buy condoms.

It's not homophobia, it's bad character design. And the fact that those characters are usually considered "annoying" by the majority doesn't help either.

I like Hope from Final Fantasy XIII though, is not a bad character (unlike Serah... or Snow to some degree).

So if anyone can find a pattern from that list, please recommend me something I haven't watched yet.

I'll recommend She and Her Cat and 5 Centimeters Per Second: a chain of short stories about their distance by Makoto Shinkai.

This game is literally made for me and the PS3 version looks great so far.

Most anticipated game of the year, day -1 purchase.

Isn't it because America hates everything that isn't America?

B-but Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean 4 are hilarious.

I don't know what is the problem with the PS3 version of some games, but the differences here is too much (is kinda stupid at this point actually). I wonder if the console versions of Battlefield 3 are going to be decent at the very least... the game looks insane on PC.

What was your main goal from a graphics standpoint going into DA2? How would you say you've done toward that realizing that goal?

SH: One of the main goals on "Dragon Age 2" was to improve the lighting on the characters in order to help display the extra effort and care that went into the creature and character redesigns while at the same time make them feel like they are anchored to the environments that they are in. We also added gibbing in DA2 to a lot of the creatures and characters to help with the new flow of the improved combat system. Nothing makes you feel more badass than to shred an enemy into exploding chunks of meat! There are also vast improvements in the character heads such as improved facial topology for more expressive emoting, improved facial texture density and a more realistic eye shader. We made smaller graphical tweaks like self-shadowing, moving hair and cloth simulation to help further engage the audience with the characters and story of Dragon Age 2.

Kinda weird that no one around here have mentioned Einhänder yet. ...is a Squaresoft game, you know.
5355  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Dead Island (yes, it's a rpg) on: March 17, 2011, 05:00:05 PM
The trailer was pretty boring, I was not even impressed by what they were trying to do with it. I've had more fun watching the Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailers (and I still do) to be honest.

Maybe I'm not the audience for this game. So, with that said... I should really buy Dead Nation someday. :T
