I really have no idea why Atlus is putting so much effort into food detail but it makes me hungry:

Details like this in a game shows the quality of the product as a whole. Just ask that to Hideo Kojima or Hideki Kamiya.

And I'm pretty sure that this game is going to be very interesting at the very least.

They wont disappoint us.

Of course not!

Wanna know why? Because Atlus is putting more money into the Persona 2 remake.

At least the breath of fire people are still there and that is the most important thing.

Is Makoto Ikehara still at Capcom? He hasn't worked on anything for years now. He did scenario writing for both Lost Planet and Dead Rising four years ago, but he isn't involved with either of the sequels. He be gone too and no one would even know.

I found this on GAF. Is pretty weird seeing Capcom with a lot of the people that made the company famous gone, at least some of those people is making what they really want now (I hope).

I read the report that President of Square Enix told the developers to stop making the games that they want to make and they should make the games for masses. If it's pretty accurate, that may explain the poor reception that FFXIII and XIV received. I wouldn't be surprised at this.

Ha... believe me, the current state of the company is much more complex than just that.

Wasn't FFVII targeted at FPS crowd? That's why it was so popular when it came out.

Maybe you are thinking in Final Fantasy XIII. I remember that Yoichi Wada said something like that.

The funny thing is that X-2 have one of the best albums of the franchise. There are just 3 tracks, but these are the best tracks in the entire game IMO.

Is this Devil May Cry 5 or is this a spin-off subseries?

This is neither DmC 5 nor a spin off. It is a retelling of Danteís origin story.

Now I understand. This game is basically Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, a reimagining of the original game for people who doesn't know or care or haven't played the previous games of the series (in other words, an easy way too make money). That means that I no longer care about this game!

Ninja Gaiden 3 here I come!!

In an unrelated interview conducted by Capcom, Takeuchi discussed his thoughts on managing human resources and leading a development team.

"When it comes down to it, the key concept is being 'globally minded'. It's important not only to pay attention to the market here in Japan, but develop human resources that are capable of staying in tune with developments abroad, as well as using English fluently. Ten years ago, the Japanese market was large enough that we didn't need to worry about focusing on what was happening outside the country. But things have changed, and now it is important for us to consider how to develop the Japanese market in a way that enables us to secure a share of the Western market. To adapt to the recent changes in the gaming market, we must pay attention to developments in Japan and the West. We canít understand how these markets are different unless we know what is going on in both. Capcom will be a stronger company if each developer fully understands what gamers in the market expect and demand.

Capcom has a lot of great things in store for the future. We're always pushing ourselves, remaining true to the slogan that "if you stop, itís game over".

didn't they made X-2 because many fans didn't like the ending of FFX?

Yes, the same happen with Persona 3 in Japan (true story). About X-2, the end credits of the game said that the game is "by fans, for fans" if I remember correctly. This is the kind of game you play at least two times and later you move on with something better.

The battle system is the only real reason to give the game a chance.

But overall, the PS1 was a WAY better system than the N64.

No shit sherlock. The N64 did a lot of things right too, the design of the console brings a lot of good ideas for the future generations.

The games? There are the classics that have aged bad or are still playable like Sin and Punishment, but that depends on the game really. Also, is kinda curious that the design of the N64 was because of Super Mario 64 and what Nintendo wanted to achieve with that game.

Ah, Final Fantasy X... I remember seeing this game for the first time, it left a lot of gamers with the O face for weeks. The first hours of the game are pretty damn good too. I've never finished the game though but I watched the ending on YouTube just because I had forgotten what to do in last save file I left.

After playing the game for a long time, I was unable to go back and finish this "cinematic experience with a battle system" (yeah, that's what Final Fantasy X is for me). Overall, I just remember this from the game: Great battle system, great soundtrack, I hate Blitzball a lot more than Final Fantasy VIII, Lulu's boobs are beyond awesome and his design is ridiculous, I want to be like Auron when I get older, Seymour was a compelling antagonist in theory, the story could have been better and HAHAHA!! (the Japanese scene is even more awkward than the one we got, amazing stuff).

...oh yeah and the Thunder Plains! What an awesome place. That's one of the few times that I enjoyed grinding in an RPG (I grind like a motherfucker in MegaTen games though, so addicting). Really, is not a bad game, but it left me with a bad impression over the years. Like, they have all this good ideas that worked well and all in the game (at that time anyway) but there was so much more potential for a more exciting story and what not.

But eh, later I played X-2 and I enjoyed that game a lot more that Final Fantasy X. At that time, I was just pleased about the fast-paced battle system. Everything else was stupid or annoying, but for some weird reason the story makes sense in that game.

After that, I stopped playing Final Fantasy games (I wonder why /sarcasm). Versus XIII, you are the last hope for Square Enix.
