Wow. He was so young.. R.I.P.

I think he means in general, since Chantelise came out in Japan 3 years BEFORE Recettear and was, I believe, EasyGameStation's first game.  So there's probably enough rookie hiccups in it.

I hear the keyboard controls are terrible, so the game is best played with a gamepad.

Ohh, I see.

I got it last night. I'm in the middle of the first dungeon right now. It's pretty fun. It does seem like it could be polished better overall, but it's still a solid game.

Chantelise is less refined as I understand, thus the reason it's priced lower. It was going to be either $10 or $15 at any rate.

You mean fighting controls/gameplay-wise?

So is Chantelise a shorter/smaller game than Recettear then?

Anyway, I'm sold on Chantelise. Gonna buy it at midnight tonight.

I looked up Recettear's price on Gamer's Gate. Why is Recettear $19.95 still if Chantelise just came out and is $8.95?

Yay, be sure to post your impressions of it as you play. :) I've been seriously considering getting Chantelise soon but have been having second thoughts from people saying their bad impressions on it. I really hope it's a good game so that I could support Carpe Fulgar. I really love what they're doing.

It's not much, but it's worth a shot, since it takes like 30 secs to do..

Here's the OFFICIAL problem:

Capcom looked at the Number of members registered in the MML3 devroom as the official number of units they could anticipate to sell if they green-lighted the title for Full Development. The game was never authorized for full time Development because the numbers in North America were less than 4500. Which with development costs it was deemed Financially Unacceptable to release the title.

HOWEVER, The Dev Team convinced them to Leave the North American Development room on Capcom-Unity open in an effort to try and generate enough members to change their minds. Also inside the Dev Room is the Official Petition to Release the Prototype of the game and Continue Development of the game on a FULL SCALE.

In order to do this however we need your help to spread the word out to your 25,000+ people to do 2 things.

(the instructions have been edited for the easiest way to do this via Facebook)

Come on show them that you care and want them to make MML3. Become a Serve Bot! DON'T JUST CLICK LIKE ON FACEBOOK!

1) Click this Link http://www.capcom-unity.com/go/devroom/about

2) Click Register

3) Click Facebook

......4) Fill out birth date

5) Click Accept

6) Click the Green Plus Mark that will add you to the Devroom

7) Then the Box above it "Become a Servbot"

The numbers here Were why It was originally canceled.

After you join the Devroom as a Servbot you are then permitted to Sign the ONLY Capcom recognized Petition for Megaman Legends 3 here:

No, it doesn't require you to do facebook. All it needs you to do is join the devroom and become a servbot. The latter part is important. Oh, and sign in the official thread they specified.

This thread is making me realize how much I miss the Phantasy Star series and want a new sequel that isn't an online RPG.

Looks interesting.. I might try getting their first two games too if reviews for Chantelise are good.

Don't go by that. Chantelise isn't very good, but Recettear is.

Really? Hmm. I kind of thought Chantelise looked like it had potential to be good. I might try it out anyway, if I like Recettear enough. Thanks for the info though.

Oh, never mind then lol. It took me a while to figure out that this was the same topic. :P

This kind of shit shouldn't even be legal if you ask me. >:(

They don't develop the games, just translate them, and both Chantelise and Recettear are from the same developer whereas this isn't. Also, Recettear is on sale on Steam now, though it's $10 rather than $5 now.

Yeah, I know. I was just saying if their taste in picking games to bring over is good, then I might like all or most of the games that they translate/publish. Thanks for the heads up, although I might not be able to take advantage of the sale right now..

I love the SaGa series, even though I can see why some wouldn't and Unlimited SaGa is an awful game, so this is very disappointing news for me. The remake of Romancing SaGa for the PS2 was really great.

Adorable. I love the octopi and the jelly fish too.
