Thats it, Im buying both The Last Remnant and UNLIMITED SaGa!
Oooo, you may want to rethink buying Unlimited SaGa. Sadly it's a game that has sooo much potential, but falls flat because of gameplay flaws. I wanted to like that game so much but I couldn't. Anyway, I love the SaGa series (or most of it) even if I've never beaten a SaGa game before. They seem to have great music, graphics, and an interesting, unique feel than other RPG games.

The dude talking about why Ys is so mighty awesome is a well known Falcom fan on the Internet. So yeah, when the guys at XSeed said that this games are by localized "by fans, for fans"; They weren't joking. Don't believe me? Go read this. Also, E3 2010 trailer.Apparently he's working on translating another game for them. Don't know which one though. Covers have been revealed.

I just hope they get all of them translated and out eventually. I would be crushed if we only got the first or first two games and not be able to get the last one because of the PSP market being dead.

Figured this would be the best place to ask...
What are the music options in Ys 1/2 Chronicles? I know there's the new version for the PSP, PC-88, but is the Complete music available too?
I don't know how right this is, but a guy on another forum said this, "The PSP version contains three selectable soundtracks: the original, PC-8801 audio, the Ys I & II Complete editions and a brand new arranged score, created specifically for this version. Arranged by Yukihiro Jindo, who does most of the arranging duties for Falcom these days."

Iīm a little worried, this games are great, fast and furious yet I donīt think they will sell good enough simply because of the lack of publicity. How many copies does Xseed needs to sells on one title in order to be marked succesful? I'm kind of worried too. I'm hoping X-Seed has a good fanbase that will guarantee that they will at least do good with these games. There's a lot of Ys fans out there, they are just hiding his awesomeness to the world. :D But seriously, I think that the big challenge for XSeed is not selling Ys games, is sell the Sora no Kiseki trilogy. That's probably true. Ugh. I REALLY hope the Sora no Kiseki games sell well. I really loved the first one despite not understanding a word of it.

Finally a gameplay video of Ys vs. Sora no Kiseki is up on YouTube. It looks pretty fun. I'm pretty sure if the Ys and Sora no Kiseki games sell well, we are going to see this bad boy outside of Japan. So please, buy the games to see more Falcom epicness! D: Oh yeah, there's also a project in the works to translate the Gagharv trilogy (PC version only). Did Chester just turn into Elena at the end of that clip? Weird...

Since Ys Seven is coming before the other two, I feel the need to address some things for potential newcomers
(...)
In short, if Ys Seven your first entry in the series, just remember that it's actually a lot different from the other games. It's still a great game, but it's not the game to be judging the series as a whole. Oath and Felghana and Chronicles I & II are the classics, and are a good representation of what the series is about.
Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. I haven't followed Oath and Felghana and Chronicles I & II closely since by just looking at screenshoots, Ys 7 appealed the most to me. I hjonestly think I'll end up buying more games than just Ys VII from Falcom though. I should really find a Falcom wiki site or something like that. edit: Like this Ys Chronicles 1 & II http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ys_I_%26_IIhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bMpL_t4fY0Ys Oat in Felghanahttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0iFdTtC0bY&feature=relatedIf you want to find out more about Falcom games, you can check out the Ancient Land of Ys forum ( http://seldane.proboards.com/index.cgi) that's a place to talk about Ys and Falcom games. There's probably a lot of info you can find there.

I was so excited about this news that I actually registered so I could post on it! I've dreamed of the LoF 6 games coming to the US and being able to play them in English. I've played up to midway of Sora no Kiseki, the first one of the trilogy, with a FAQ and even then, without any Japanese knowledge, it was one of the most fun games I've played in recent years. I can't imagine how much more enjoyable it will be when I can actually understand it. And of course I'm looking forward to the Ys games are coming over too.
This is definitely a reason for me to get a PSP now.
