#186 Apocalypse Any Time Now
The best time to do side quests is while the huge meteor hovers in the sky above the planet, waiting to fall and destroy the world.

it has way too many good ones

Charles Barkley: Shut up and Jam Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa

an epic of epic epicness

have any games or series you love but are almost universally disliked or too obscure?
I most certainly do:
Tales, Xenosaga, Legend of Dragoon, Wild Arms, Sakura Taisen/wars, Skies of Arcadia
I'm sure i'd be able to come up with more than just those but this is a little depressing :(

I can't wait to play Final Fantasy 15 on that bad boy

not skeptical about it?
1190  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: FFXIV Thread on: July 25, 2010, 12:30:17 AM
it has too many classes and most sound ridiculous, a lot like most jobs in ff tactics.

In my country, dead baby soup is a delicacy. Best get them fresh though!

i hear it's also very common in this one country called the internet.
1192  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Arc Rise Fantasia on: July 24, 2010, 01:17:52 AM
most characters, with a few exceptions, sounded fairly good outside of battle but everything in-battle (including sound effects) is really bad like

I've heard much worse dubbing than this game.
only a couple characters sound at least uninterested, but I hate that several lines were phrased incorrectly and it keeps skipping past text even if a particular character isn't done talking

Here's a cam of the whole E3 trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YieoURCBSXE

Oh I'm gonna love this.

the number of people walking by it without paying any attention is a little disturbing to me.
1195  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Skyward Sword and the Zelda timeline. on: July 23, 2010, 12:56:57 AM
this timeline thing is one reason I don't really play any games in this series.

I don't understand why that would stop you playing? It's not even remotely important to the enjoyment of playing.

I prefer not to get involved D:
I may end up wanting to play each one and come up with my own explanation for it and hunting several of these game down sounds like a nightmare
1196  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Deathsmiles on: July 23, 2010, 12:53:11 AM
since I'm a cheap bastard, i'm prolly gonna wait for it to go wayyyy down in price.
how long is it again?
1197  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Square-Enix publishing Tactics Ogre remake for PSP! on: July 23, 2010, 12:39:53 AM
sadly, that image will haunt me forever.

1199  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: White Knight Chronicles 2, a video log of the entire game on: July 22, 2010, 01:57:21 AM
each character, especially that "Lucis" guy, looks almost like an early PS2 and/or wii character (really bad for something trying so hard to look like a PS3 game)
most of those links have an extra "http thing, so each one seems broken
not sure if I'll ever get to watch its battle system in action since youtube loads unbelievably slow
1200  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: The world is coming to an end! on: July 21, 2010, 12:01:35 AM
Honestly, I don't think humans will ever completely die out until

"If the sun disappeared".

...and like PM suggested, that's only if we haven't colonized other planets/space/whatever. Unless of course there's some super extreme ice age or some ridiculous Armageddon-starring-Bruce Willis-style massive asteroid or some similarly extreme scenario before then. I don't think we have what it takes to do away with our own species even in a WWIII, everybody's-nuking-everybody situation, 'cuz you know at least one chick and one dude will survive, in some viscinity of each other, and they will bone eventually, regardless. Surely they'll eventually get tired of joy riding the remaining Lamborghinis and raiding all the surviving malls for remaining free shit.

not they're on separate continents and don't have a way to meet up and "bone" before dying of boredom or starving, etc eventually.
