hell yeah
this game seems to be way too obscure.

"everything that has happened until now is the will of the omelettes"
this game is a jrpg retelling about joan of arc getting back france from england and stuff
by stuff, I mean omelettes.
I've only gotten about 2 hours into because persona 4 has been devouring my life
and trying to grind up to (probably) level 99 in half minute hero doesn't get old until my psp breaks from me throwing it out a window
1248  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Blazing Souls: Accelade (PSP) getting localized by Aksys on: June 26, 2010, 09:37:37 PM
Its an srpg= day 1 buy

technically, any rpg with strategy (particularly a traditional rpg) would be an srpg
lolol titsen
1249  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Valkyrie Profile 2 and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 on: June 26, 2010, 09:22:06 PM
I haven't played valkyrie profile but I have played valkyrie profile 2
haven't really gotten through much of it yet because I got stuck on a puzzle that's really annoying and surrounded by a ton of enemies.
just play it, but don't start the answer until beating the journey
which xenosaga game was it?
be prepared to do a lot of fighting in persona 3
and don't try to level up social links only a few at a time

I can name a dozen more worthy SRPG/tactics games to be ported than another grindea factory title.

Yes. Like
Queen's Blade.............And you thought I was going to say Growlanser PSP didn't you. XP

coulda sworn that was a fighting game, not rpg
it would nice to increase my creepy pervertedness with that game, especially since I like dead or alive xtreme
maybe aksys will release blazing souls with a "really naughty limited edition"
1251  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Blazing Souls: Accelade (PSP) getting localized by Aksys on: June 25, 2010, 07:13:50 PM
too bad it's an idea factory game
couldn't find any reviews of it in japanese so I should probably wait for a review of it
1252  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Tales studio facing financial problems? on: June 25, 2010, 04:53:06 PM
Yeah, but they can choose which console they want to port and localize over to.

In the US, they built the Nintendo audience back in the early 2000's on the cube but then left them hanging.

Tales of Symphona 2 on Wii several years later = too little, too late

Had they capitalized on Symphonias success and brought Abyss right on over to the cube, and ADVERTISED it to that audience as the followup to Symphonia, we might have actually have a localized Graces, Hearts, among others today.

Now they are just a bankrupt company from whom we probably won't see any more games from in the states.

calling abyss a followup to symphonia would be false advertisement
it isn't bankrupt yet, but it's obviously close to it
square had "one last game" that exploded worldwide even though it was almost bankrupt
it still has a chance to make a game like that
edit: ironically, symphonia was put on a console that was losing to xbox and ps2 but did really well
abyss and legendia failed even though it was on a console that had massive success
and yeah, making a multiplatform game would be smarter than making it exclusive to only one
1253  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Seaman coming to 3DS? on: June 25, 2010, 04:37:44 PM
yoot is almost a funnier name than deathspank
playing something like that in 3D would make me wanna make it into a movie specifically for IMAX, even just to brag about it
1254  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: The 3rd Birthday on: June 25, 2010, 04:21:31 PM
I haven't played this series yet but I'm looking forward to finding out if it's a good one to start with.
1255  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Yakuza 4 on: June 24, 2010, 07:19:10 PM
Kenzan might still make it somehow.  I'm not ruling it out for a year or two.

Alternatively, they go "What the hell" and release it as a budget title when the system's about to die, it's happened for a few games; Sakura Wars itself is something of an example.

except it was already made on ps2 a few years before it was thought to be dead, waiting to be localized
1256  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: New Versus XIII scans and a ton of info on: June 23, 2010, 08:21:56 PM
do enemies respawn at an insanely stupid rate like in ff12?
edit: doesn't dragon quest (particularly 8) have a real scale world map?
1257  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Toy Story 3 on: June 22, 2010, 11:32:25 PM
I cannot believe I thought the ending would have gone as i expected.

For some reason I actually thought they were all going to die. When Buzz gives up hope you know you are screwed. Looking back it would have been very unlikely to have a sad ending.

seeing that incinerator thing, I thought it would do something like that too
I loved seeing totoro in that movie too
1258  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: E3 2010 SRPG news on: June 22, 2010, 08:38:22 PM
if its real i just might die!!!!!

except that everyone dies
hurr hurr
1259  Media / The Soundroom / Re: So... the site's podcast on: June 22, 2010, 08:35:41 PM
I listened to a portion of the first one, and intend to listen to the rest, but I had one gripe. Please take the time to mention who you are on the boards. I know some of you by your names, but not all of you. Like just in the first episode...Who is Rob? What is his name on the boards? It would make us feel like we know you guys better.

according to this, his "nickname" is PaleRobbie
each staff member has a profile like that and can be found with this thing
1260  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: DeathSpank on: June 22, 2010, 08:12:56 PM
that name still makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
