Oh fuck, I forgot about the super final boss. My bad, Din's right.

DS version offers some extra stuff in the form of extra dungeons and a monster battle minigame, otherwise it's the same game between every iteration.

Is there a definitive guide to acquire blades? I still dont understand the luck stat or core boosters and what they effect.
Supposedly each idea is an element, so putting more into said idea/element increases the chance of gettung a blade of that element. If you're trying to get the off element like lightning or ice or light and dark, idk, probably a combination. The game does nothing to explain it at all, but people on lamefaqs had some suggestions that made sense.

FFVIIR, don't care who hates on me for it. The idea of VII being updated to today's level of graphics and gameplay amd storytelling is exciting. I look forward to playing it and then seeing how well og VII stacks up to it.

Saying that in a thread for most anticipated of 2018 is a level of optimism worthy of admiration.
To be fair, it's a 2018 anticipation thread. I am greatly anticipating it for all of 2018
...probably right into 20202...
...not a typo.

And yeah, KH3 also tickles my fancy, as does Ni no Kuni 2.

Also, with my Mercenary Rank maxed out, I used the extra space to pull three more Rare Blades (and then had to burn an Override to send Sheba to Rex due to the fact that I had three Water Blades on one Driver (I know, I should've sent her to Nia, but everybody has at least one Water Blade and those two were the only ones without a Cannon Rare Blade; plus Sheba belongs on a Male Driver Peon dammit, and I really wanted to keep the newly pulled Chef where he was)).
I would not have done that considering how valuable Overdrive Protocols are. You only get 3 from chests, 5 from maxing character affinity charts, and 1 for each 4 star blade you release (who has a complete affinity chart). Really all Rex needs is his sword, an axe (Edit: and late game there is an alternative to using an axe), and dual scythes. Oh well, I guess I'm late on giving this advice. >.>

Couldn't really be helped though as that's how the Blades were drawn.

That said, I've replaced my Water Gun with a Thunder one (not much of an improvement since it still doesn't solve the type diversity, but the Passive Abilities are more useful overall).

And with that being said, here's a legit question I have. Where's the Cafe in the Archipelago? I for the life of me can't find it and more than a couple of Blades need a few of its stocked items to finish up with their advancements/side-quests.
I "THINK" it's in Indol, as the cafe in Indol comes to leftheria due to story reasons later.

Literally the worst waypoint/map system in any video game I have ever played.
Astonishing.
it's really not even that godawful. The only thing that grates on me is how the waypoints give inaccurate directions at times. Still have the map itself to show you where to be, and....though the secret areas are really secret at times.

I repeatedly tell myself "don't use high grade painkillers like vicodin or oxycodone, they make you sick" and I try so hard not to, but every once in a while a pain hits me waaaayyyyy to hard and I cave and use one....and I ALWAYS regret the massive bout of nausea I deal with after...

Riding on 8 hours now, still feel like I wanna puke.

When the motherfuck do you get a fortitude field skill? It's killing me, passing all these things that I can't use or open or swim through cuz NO ONE HAS FORTITUDE!!!

Edit: So I found out I'll get it pretty soon. Sorry for the rant. Game rocks!

I've been really feeling it as well. I hate the fact that they introduce branching quests with a skill check that required two skills that I didn't have at all.

At least I've almost obtained another Rare Blade, so that Nia can have a full set at last (of course, I'm probably going to need to have the Core Crystal recharge first).
I've got about 11 or 12 rare blades now. Most of them through common crystals believe it or not. Rare blades are actually pretty aggrivating with their special requirements for leveling up and such....not all of them but a few are pushing my buttons to say the least. What annoys me most is how FUCKING RANDOM the blade is that you'll get. Rex keeps getting tanks and healers, while Nia gets healers and tanks as well. Sucks that all the ring blades are attached to beasts too...they look stupid.

Mobile has no issues. My s8 has no super size lettering, though I doubt I'd be mad about it anyway, my blind ass needs all the help it can get.

You guys are really condemming the game because it only has 1 save slot....really?
Yes.  In this day and age with large amounts of storage available (although, admittedly, the Switch is an exception), there is no reason to have only one save file for an RPG.  I consider this limitation a fatal flaw.
Well, enjoy missing out on one of the best games of this year then :/

I've been pretty critical of Xenoblade 2 from its first reveal (those awful character designs) and my criticism has only grown over time.  But... I mean, if I had a Switch I'd still be playing it right now.
Idk, aside from the unrealistic waistline of Pyra compared to her hios and bust (seriously, even Milla's waist wasn't that shrunken compared to her other features), I'm pretty into the characters designs. The voice work especially draws me in, though Rex's more emotional moments are definitely signs of a new VA to the scene. Nia's voice is especially great, that Welsh accent does wonders for me, and it's strangely hot sounding. My only real gripe with the voice acting is why did they make all the blades American? Seems...idk, weird maybe?

The music in this game is fucking serious though. Love it as much as Xenoblade X.
