And for the 1000th page post of the mighty haps topic...

I present me, all by myself.

I gotta give it to this decade, simply for Young Justice, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Clarence, and Rick and Morty. These 5 shows have made the decade awesome thus far.

Rick and Morty seasons 2 started this evening.

Show didn't skip a beat, great to see it back.

Best episode title yet, btw.

1.  At home because I'm anti-social.

Same. Plus, gyms are gross. I do bodyweight exercises with resistance bands. What I really like about it is that it allows for a lot of creativity, and produces good results.

Also, the UPS digital sign info is a golden nugget of wisdom buddy. I can't thank you enough for making me privy to this. Its astounding the modern conveniences that elude me in light of my technological ignorance. I need to work on that.

Glad to be of service. You can do the same thing with USPS packages. I wouldn't doubt that Fed Ex does something similar as well.
Resistance bands are good and all, but as I've said before I"m atvthe gym to build strength up. First, foremost, priority 1. If I lose a few pounds in the process, cool. If I have to lose some weight to improve my capability, will do. But at the end of the day, I care little if I can run 400 meters at a full sprint, but if I can bench that 315 1 more time, or get that 505 deadlift I've been busting my ass for...all is well in my world.

It's all good if you're doing something right? I just feel like there is some sort of mentality in fitness where it's like, if you aren't running you aren't doing a good enough job, which isn't true. All that happens when you run is that...you get better at running.

I guess in a post-apocalyptic world when you have to run from zombie mutants the runners will get the last laugh.
We all know that when you run from zombies, you trip and fall and thus become lunch meat. Stamina is what you need to continue swinging your weapon,or strength to swing a bigger weapon. Moreover, massive strength to wear full plate armor and be immune ti zombie bites.

Steven Universe just gets better as it goes on. :D
It really does greatly improve as it gets on. It's not adventure time or rick and morty godly, but it's part of my top 5 ahows for sure.

Yeah, everything that I read just makes elliptical the better choice, I don't want my knees to be totally fucked in a few decades time. Plus I'm not aspiring to be a long-distance runner any time soon.

@Agent: Yeah I was right - I thought you lived in New York, which to my UK brain means you basically live on the set of Sex and the City and are falling over celebrities all the time.
That's basically just where I work. Watch Summer of Sam, that's my home.

Where bouts do you live Agent? Are celebreties pretty common where you are from?
I live in the bronx, which is 1 of the 5 boroughs of NYC. Aside from Yankee Stadium at the other end of where I live (my neighborhood is Throggs Neck), not much in terms of stardom. Actually, one of the guys from the Sopranos came into the same store I saw the girl in, but he was passing through to City Island (one of the few big attractions in the bronx that isn't baseball related). We also have a huge golf course built courtesy of Donald Trump, but that's quickly becoming a negative in my heavily spanish-populated neighborhood. Granted, I live less than 30 miles from Manhattan which is basically super star land, but especially because of my line of work, I try not to get star struck easily (it's happened twice so far). I nearly knocked Patrick Wilson over once when I was waiting on a cab, though, and once I figured out who he was I nearly panicked.

My asshole father is playing a remix of Tom Sawyer...this is pissing me off greatly right now.

Even now that I'm thinner I don't run. :P I loath it. I'd rather walk for an hour than run for half an hour. I can watch Let's Plays that I like at that pace. My cardio is like 30 minutes fairly intense on the elliptical and then an hour walking, every other day I do weights.
If I go to the gym now,I do cardio. 10-15 before I start lifting, 15-25 after. Usually treadmill first and bike second, but I've double dosed treadmills before. I should point out that I haven't run in essentially years due to an ankle injury when I was 18. Between scar tissue and just poor healing overall, my ankle has limited range of motion, specifically below 90 degrees. Has me screwed on Squats too, and that hurts since a guy my size should Squat ridiculous numbers. Ah well, 475 deadlift as of wednesday, so I'm not that upset.

Apparently a model lives in my neighborhood, though I will refrain from naming who. Seen her twice in the last 2 days, and goddamn is she pretty. Definitely makes my neighborhood way more awesome now.

I am now adding jog/run intervals to my cardio while working out.

Fat guys do not run well at all. I apologize to all the scared people below me who were wondering who let the whale on the treadmills.

The workers that play together, stay together. Here's hoping for many more years of you guys playing video hames and telling us about them.

Double post, but I wanted to seperate this as it's important.

In Steven Universe, is it just me or does Peridot seem like she belongs in a Mega Man universe?

Given the team behind it are gaming nerds....probably.
Jasper had a 'sonic spin' sort of move, the show's backgrounds were inspired by Kirby titles, Steven visibly has a Gamecube on display in his room and a Cloud Strife figurine.  Then all these, and Utena-esque fight sequences (and...y'know, I guess the amount of gay or unrestricted gender norms).  Steven is, if nothing else, a huge product of nerd-inspired things.

Even the fusion dance is obviously a reference to dbz...lol.

2 things for haps.

So while I was at the DMV, a guy sitting a few feet from me was deep in his phone playing something I couldn't see at first. However, I started to hear the music, and immediately knew...FF Tactics. So I asked him if he was playing it, and he looks at me with shock and awe and says yeah, I love this game. He then laughs and says I have a good ear to catch the game just by the start menu music. I smile and just say "awesome".

Later on, while at the gym, I was texting my sister and she asks me what I'm doing, so I tell her lifting weights. This fucking bitch of a woman (I love my sister btw) fucking tells me her boyfriend deadlifted 500 pounds ( technically 495). Now a few of you may remember me saying I tried it and failed pretty terribly. So I call her a skaggy bitch and then SHE FUCKING SEND ME THE VIDEO. People wonder why I try so damn hard at the gym...that's why. Bitches one upping me with their boyfriend. I do love my sister.

Eventful day was eventful.
