1  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Recently watched Episodes of TELEVISION BOX offerings! on: February 10, 2016, 11:04:47 AM
Watching the Flash and I have a theory as to who Zoom is.
Code:
I think he is Wally from Earth 2. Wally talked about feeling the need to go faster and that it just wasn't enough. Now this could be a nod to him becoming the Flash later or him being zoom in earth 2. My other thought is Jay Garricks double, Hunter Zolomon from Earth 1. Since Zolomon was Zoom in the comics. If it is anyone else I will be hugely surprised.
Code:
I'd agree with you for Zoom as Garrick, but I think last night's episode debunked that theory when they accidentally botched the speed cannon and Jay stuck around on Earth 1. Wally seems plausible, but that difference in height...
I almost started to think it was Barry's father on Earth 2. There have been many references to the old Flash tv show in this show, like Trickster being the same guy in both for example. It'd be an interesting twist for sure...

Kickstart investors get nothing back, aside from the finished product

This might be semantics, but this is because Kickstarter "investors" are not investors at all.  They're donators.
See that's where I get annoyed, as you're right, it's all donations. But that's an issue here, this isn't going to a non-profit organization or something like that, this is to help a company make a product they fully intend to make money off of. If it were to release the game for free or for good cause or something, I could be more forgiving, but they were denied at the real investors who would have received their investment back in full upon completion or failure. For a kickstarter, I get that if it doesn't go well the donators will be stiffed, but why should they not benefit from the success? It baffles me that this works as a practice now, it all sounds like a massive scheme.

I know this is a very naive PoV of kickstarters in general, but I'm trying to grasp it and after reading this failure of a kickstarter story, I'm just gonna say it...

Kickstarters are for getting money for developing something in many cases...but in the situation of having an investor back you, the investor or investors get their investment back and then some. Kickstart investors get nothing back, aside from the finished product, meanwhile the company who created said product now reap the benefits of the sales of the product along with the money invested into the product. Now a situation like Unsung Story happens and all these people who have put their hard earned money into this product are being left high and dry and with a flimsy "we'll get it done one day" promise...

Excuse the rudimentary undertanding of this, but explain to me how people find this an acceptable practice? Almost all of the risk lays on the investors now, and unlike big investment companies and banks, we as average people don't have gold lined pockets filled with diamonds and precious jewels (other people's money basically) to haphazardly through at a possible lucrative idea. If a bank won't give you a business loan or an investment company won't back you....maybe you oughta consider the fact that you're offering something that won't make much money or at return an investment.?

fun facts, there is a final fantasy tactics style infinite CP glitch.

Is it called 'playing the game'? 'Cause holy crap is the game generous with the CP
I was thinking that too, but I noticed that stuff is starting to go up in price quickly...plus upgrading gear costs cp...I say this while holding about 100k cp atm.

I say this every year around this time: America needs to make the Monday after Super Bowl a national holiday.  With all the late night partying and all people do, we're all too freaking dead to get up and go to work Monday morning.  Plus it's winter and who wouldn't want another day off in winter to just stay home under the covers?  And even if you don't like gridiron, would you say no to a day off?

Why isn't post-Super Bowl Monday holiday a thing yet?
I think the REAL question here is why is the Super Bowl still on a sunday instead of a saturday?

I might be the only person I know who likes real black licorice instead of the nonsense fake cherry flavored twizzlers sugar foodstuff
I'm not a huge fan of licorice, but I enjoy jaegermeister to a degree. However, twizzlers are awesome.

Twizzlers are awesome. You are insane.

deflect is love, deflect is life. It's important to the point I put it on a lot of other melee classes even though it takes up double load. There are some attacks later on that you can't deflect though.
It really, really is. That move just eats everything. I just went dark knight and put it on, still keeps everything in control.

My only real gripe with the game at this point is the online questing is kind of retarded. If you join a room with a quest in progress, you can't join up on them, you get stuck waiting. Seems like a dumb move, like couldn't that make the room inaccessible or something instead of joining a room and waiting for the leader to either quit his current run (lol yeah right) or finish up?  Really a minor gripe, but still...

I really wonder sometimes if I'm Bi-Polar. I go from laughing to rage pretty easy at times, but I never don't know why. It's like i can feel it brewing inside of me and regardless of how much "happy feelings" I have that day, if I'm borderline about to snap, anything that can trigger it will cause me to blow up. I try to keep myself calm, hold back the rage, I do all this weight lifting to blow steam and keep myself in a state of drained testosterone I guess, but ever since I was a kid, I would always just hit a breaking point and blow up. I mean as a kid I had good reason for it, got bullied every day from grade 1 through 8 and usually beat up every other week by at least 3 or 4 kids per encounter. I had to rage at times to prevent myself from being depressed and killing myself. Maybe it just followed me all my life, maybe I'm damned into this cycle of raging and restarting til I die or start heavily medicating. I mean ffs i just blew up at my destiny clan because of glitchy shit in a raid that happens every week and never changes. They didn't need to hear me vent like that, much less the second point where I actually blew my gasket and launched a controller at a door. I atvleast managed to quickly grunt about how I had to bail before I lost it and shut the game off, but between both of those points and prior to the first explosion I was fine. I don't get why it happens, I don't get how I can see myself literally ignite at these things and not avoid them, all I know is that if it's going to happen, I am gonna just watch it happen and do nothing to stop it...every single time. Worst part is I never erupt at shit that I want to be violent at, it's always something I like or someone I'm friends with, never a douchebag or a fucking shithead or a fucking weight i wanna fling.

I hate life right now...

Friend code is 2337-4480-1036. Just fought my first eidolon, after eating it once, I came back strong by abusing deflect and blood weapon. Fun times.
13  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: FINAL FANTASY XV, This is a fantasy based on reality. on: February 01, 2016, 10:55:20 AM
I kinda felt more like they're saying "We're going to finalize the release date between now and March 30th".

I don't think this means they "know" the release date at all.
I'm in agreement. It's more than likely they're trying to finalize dates and have a general release date window at this point. It's fine by me, plenty of games are coming out this year to keep people occupied.

Just bought this yesterday, played for about 2 hours. It's not bad, but I didn't realize it was more like monster hunter than traditional FF title. I'll keep at this for a while and toss my friend code up here later today if anyone's interested in multiplayer.

And like I said earlier, I think Kuja is one of the most underrated FF characters and a fantastic villain.  I'd say he's one of the top 5 villains of the series.

The more I think about it, the more you're definitely right, which probably feeds the fact he is underrepresented since I had to think about it.
I think the bigger problem os FFIX is just an underrated game overall. In the rpg fanboy/girl circles it's popular enough, but in more generlized circles many people didn't bother with it, unlike VII, VIII, X, XII and all the overly advertised ones. Hell I don't even recall IX gettin a proper commercial...
