Evidently fat shaming is "bullying or mocking fat people under the guise of helping them" or something.

...that actually sounds kind of familiar.
Actually it sounds pretty commonplace.

Why the hell am I still up? I got a huge workout to do later today, and really need some sleep...

WTF, there's a thing called "fat shaming" now?
Whaf the hell is fat shaming? Isn't the shame of being fat enough?

Time to blow your mind.

OK, thought that was cool?  Nah, that's just a demo.  Check out the real thing, fully interactive.

Holy bajeezits.
Yeah...that's not frightening to think that this could one day be a consistent stream instead of a single photo.

1. Actually Phase 4 is a new client entirely. We were all told to delete the phase 3 client on PC and PS3. In fact your PSN accounts are automatically unlinked at the end of phase 3. New PSN codes will be forthcoming to download the new client when phase 4 starts.

2. Correct. Once you're in beta, you're in for all stages. If you're on PC the client downloader will be available shortly before Phase 4 starts. If you're on PS3, as soon as the client is on PSN they'll send you a code. Though since its open beta I don't see why it's just not a regular download.
I never got a notification regarding it. Matter of fact I signed in to it yesterday just to see if there was any news on the front page there (nothing new). I did get an email not to long ago about phase 4 starting soon and that I'd be getting a code soon, but I assumed that was from applying during phase 3 on their site. Odd shit, guess I'll leave the info to you from now on tenchi.

The Newsroom:

It made it to Season 2!!  Somehow!!
Cool to see John di Maggio on there though

Dexter SSN8
Good start, but the tide seems to come and go for this one.
Hey, I enjoy the newsroom. It's pretty interesting and not full of shit like fox news.

And thus the Internet was spared at least one uninspired project based upon reinterpreting already existing properties for self gain or over zealous fandom.

Now about the hojillion other derogatory uninspired projects that got through uninhibited.
At least those ones didn't beg publicly for handouts.

At least I can laugh about the moron who invested time in this instead of making something fucking original.

dial-up's probably not really a concern anymore BUT mobile internet absolutely is.

Pffffft, not if you're on LTE.

Mike's signatures were fabulous in our RPGBoard days. That one especially.
That reminds me, for as long as you've been around, and as well maintained as you are, how come this forum doesn't offer a mobile version? Fairly surprised at this actually.

Time for a few derp questions:

1. I've already deleted the client.  Was that a smart thing to do, or will Phase 4 use a totally different client?

2.  Since I was in Phase 3, all I need to do is download the client and login, once available?

1: Pretty sure it's gonna be the same client, just patched. Psn users have no other way to get it otherwise.

2: Using your SE login data, yeah. Tenchi's probably gonna give a better answer, but I'm basing mine on PS3 info, and if PS3 users had to download a new client, we'd need new download codes and such, which sounds difficult to pull off.

@Ygg
Didn't call you a fanboy. I said, as you quoted, only fanboys gave it shit. You bashed the game for more than its lack of badass Dante, so some credit is given for your dislike at least.
1360  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XIV: ARR, a Thread Reborn on: August 01, 2013, 11:22:03 PM
Goddamnit this game cannot come out soon enough.
1361  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Dragon's Crown (Vanillaware RPG, now 2013 all regions) announced for PS3/Vita on: August 01, 2013, 11:21:29 PM
Huh.... so I guess I can just use my PS headshot or microphone for this....

EDIT: I meant headsetWeird.
If you have a psp2000 or better, you can use that for skype just fine too, assuming you have the materials needed to use it. When I used to play PSU, I would skype with a few guys over my psp to better coordinate (bullshit with) my buddies while playing. Audio quality wasn't astounding, but not having to stop and type a message out definitely made speed runs better. Cellphones offer great quality for skype, but there is the whole issue about the phones running hot doing so.

Honestly, pc is the best way to go if you can, and a USB headset is ideal.

Edit over double post: This was interesting...

300k copies of the game sold already...in a week.

But still, damage is already done and everyone is going to have to deal with it. I did with DmC, and that whole deal was fairly ugly too.

Ugh... okay. I'm going to say this one last time. DmC is not that same as MML, or this. MML got cancelled. Nobody got a chance to play it. This game is a mobile social game, as far away from a single player story-focused turn based RPG as one can get. DmC was still a fucking action game that still featured Dante and Vergil that people were able to play.

If you don't want to give it a chance, fine. Stop fucking bitching about it and comparing it to things that it can't possibly compare to.
Man, I hope you can prescribe an ointment for that massive BURN!

Seriously though, MML3 isn't even the worst thing they've done. Lets face facts, the Megaman fanbase consists of 30-40year old men who can't get over how groundbreaking Mega Man 2 was, or a bunch of 14 year olds who play the terrible handheld strategy action shits. Capcom can't figure out where to go with Mega Man because fans are on opposite ends of the spectrum. At least DMC did nothing to change what the game was, just how it was viewed. More of an attempt to pull new blood in honestly. BoF has been a dead issue for what...10 years now? Japan has a huge market for the social cell phone shit, 2+2=4...you all get the idea.

As a fan, I'm fucking livid. As a consumer, I'm disinterested because this ain't japan. If I were a japanese gamer, odds are I'd be into this. In any case, the first option is what most of us feel, so lets agree here that capcom can get fingered by a large polish man.

You won't have a problem from me with skype, I use my cellphone headset, so I generally have little to no feedback from the other noise sources. You all will, however, bear the pleasure of hearing me shout obscenities at my old man every now and then if it's early still. Some think it's quite funny though, like a terrible sitcom.
1364  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Breath of Fire 6 announced on: August 01, 2013, 10:57:22 PM
I can almost taste the salt in this thread.

I was expecting a handheld game. I would've been fine that.

You think? With the amount of complaints there is about... anything I would be surprised seeing a reaction online that wasn't negative.

But still, damage is already done and everyone is going to have to deal with it. I did with DmC, and that whole deal was fairly ugly too.
You do realize handheld RPGs generally garner favorable reviews, right? And no offense, but DMC was very well received, only fanboys gave it shit.
1365  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Breath of Fire 6 announced on: August 01, 2013, 08:32:49 PM
I don't what you guys were expecting from a series that was pretty much over before this...

I was expecting a handheld game. I would've been fine that.

This? This is cutting open a wound, pouring a bag of salt in, shoving two slices of lemon and sewing the wound back up.

Fuck those assclowns.
You forgot cleaning the surface off with sandpaper.
