So I played the demo.

It's kind of boring gameplay wise. Tries too hard to be a FF game and an action game.

There's 2 levequests I did in costa del sol that net me like 10k exp per completion and I could clear each in about a minute. I used that for some cheap exp while waiting on dungeons. It's pretty great for clearing the gap to your next level on jobs.

Titan ex down. Only took 6 hours of trying last night, and it was a complete fluke. We had him at 15ish% when one of our scholars ate a landslide out of stupidity. Just killed the gaolers, and our other healer was low on mp so naturally, tumults wiped half the group. I swapped with the other tank who just about died (he walked into a plume as we swapped), and I had like 6k health. Naturally, mountain buster comes and leaves me dwindling at 1500 health,so I pop thrill of battle and after a couple hits holmgang, leaving me at 1 hp and with the healers now both dead, all but 1 DD up, and the boss at <5% health. I blow double inner beasts, berserke and second wind to eat a couple more hits, while the dd (blm) preps a flare. Flare lands, I'm dead, boss has 1%. Blm pops manawall, converts, and readies his next flare while weights appear. Heh heh, he died, but flare landed.

Win.

Which battle theme are you talking about, there was like 8 of them.

I gotta say most of the songs I enjoy in ARR are the 1.0 ones they had left over, like Nemesis, Steel Reason and Rise of the White Raven. Can't really think of many of the new songs I like. Coerthas is pretty nice. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head.
Nail of the Heavens.

I hate double posting, but I gotta put this in there.

How did we lose the original battle theme for FFXIV only to get what we have now? I just heard it for the first time today, and am deeply offended that someone in tbe hierarchy thought it shouldn't be here. Very distressing.

There's always White Knight Chronicles.

I only played WKC briefly to try it out but I remember my very first impression of the battle system was that of a poor mans Xenoblade.
It actually gets a whole lot better, especially in 2.

"Wake me up before you U'ghomoro" is still the greatest win ever.

Well, after a lot of looking around, one of my fc buds said that chirada apparently gives a healing buff to suparna which is why chirada goes down first. Someone else said chirada has less hp but I never saw a difference in difficulty taking either down. In fact, usually chirada takes longer mostly because she has some of that defense buff.

Ok, I've beaten Garuda extreme a few times now, and I've rarely questioned anyone's by the book strategy of kill chirada first, mt tanks suparna and garuda for the duration. But seriously, why not kill Suparna first? I can't find any reason why you'd sit there and let the MT take a spike of 6k damage assuming he has a cooldown up when you could kill his or her second target and let the OT and a melee just beat the crap out of Chirada. It makes no sense and no one gives a reason why not to kill Suparna first. From what I've seen, the only downside to it is the MT gets less props for being able to live. That doesn't mean squat if everyone dies in the process...

Angry Birds....
Candy Crush Saga....
Zenonia....

I mean, it's not say these games aren't fucking awesome or what not, but I didn't play angry birds for a month cuz it looked pretty.

This could be a plot to attract a new audience. If you all haven't noticed, the style and design looks very similar to other cell phone games that have some modest popularity. SE's fans aren't likely to stop buying shit they make, but this could attract new ones.

You all should be watching Brooklyn 99. It's fucking hysterical. It even won 2 golden globes,1 being best comedy.

I for one found the Zell x HotDog love story astounding.

It's like Hathen said. We generally just get stupid at some point and then flop. We had it at 1% last night and he hadn't even started casting ultima, but somehow everyone just started fucking dying left and right, then our blm went for one last ditch manaward but hit the wrong move I think he said and we failed. Story of our lives :(
