I really can't word it any better than how I did. None of the rpgs I've played on xbob and ps3 were so terribly lacking...except maybe Ar Tonelico Qoga which was a horrible game itself. Xenoblade's content was the story and those lame fetch quests. I can't help but feel that if this were developed for xbob or ps3, there would have been more to it, maybe seceret dungeons or a casino or a set of mini quests for special weapons....anything to feel like all the mind numbing grinding was worth something.

I doubt I can ever get enough of saying this, but those fucking fetch quests took a great game and made it suck for me.

For those who want a tl;dr on the story, he's dead.

There are some recordings across the internet claiming to be feeds that imply that the fire was set intentionally. The police deny this, naturally.

I guess the take home message here is, you, as a citizen of the United States, are entitled to due process and a fair trial. Unless you piss off a cop, then we'll make sure you burn alive even if it means turning an innocent's truck into swiss cheese while we're on the hunt.
Ahhh dude..that's a little extreme. This guy was a psycho, and though I can say what happened is what happened in actuality, the man is dead and innocent lives are no longer in jeopardy. Society just wants a scapegoat in all this, and they can't fire the police so they make a good target. If he'd have been a DMV worker on the warpath, I'm sure the antagonistic commentary would have been directed at the DMV instead of the police.

I don't think the police are complete angels in this scenario, but imagine how they feel? Some crazed ex cop is going after them, and the people they're supposed to be saving from the psycho are pointing fingers at them and blaming them for what's happening? There's got to be a few cops who still actually play by the book...

Skies of Arcadia's only real flaw is the battle system. Near the end of the game, battles take forever.

DELTA SHIELD.

Build Mood Points

DELTA SHIELD.

Build Moon Points

BACK OFF --- ALPHA STOOOORRRMMMMMMMMM
Pff, everyone knows that the fights consisted of...

Enrique: Justice shield
Everyone else: Focus

(4-5 rounds later)

BLUE ROGUES....ATTACK!

It's just an attempt to validate buying that piece of shit called the Wii. If Xenoblade had been on PS3 or xbob, or even pc, it would have been AT BEST a mediocre title. For some reason, when you have a mediocre game on the Wii, it becomes amazing.
\

This is the biggest load of horseshit I have read all week.

I played Xenoblade with the classic controller. Could just have easily have been played with the 360 controller or Dual shock and the game would still have been fuck awesome.
I don't disagree with you often Lard, but I have to now. Xenoblade would not have been as popular on any other console at all. The level of content would have been incredibly lackluster. Do I agree Xenoblade wasn't a bad game, absolutely. It offered a solid story, great music, and impressive visuals. Did the game have faaaaaarrrrrrr to many fetch quests, without a fucking doubt. Would I have said the same positives about it if it were an xbob or pstriple title, no fucking chance. It and the last story made the Wii almost tolerable this generation.

Also, it's beyond a shadow of a doubt better than ffxii.

Rogue galaxy isn't a bad game at all, honestly, just forgettable. Honestly, I liked the playthrough I did for it, and one day I may go back for a second run. Skies is just a vastly better game, in every aspect. Arguably some of the best battle music in an rpg, and the sidequests are a plenty. You'll be at the game for a good long time.

I'm not entirely sure a large pepperoni pizza can in fact feed a family of four anymore.

If you stopped and played Skies of Arcadia, Klyde, you'd be quite pleased. The game was incredibly well done.

Get Legends, btw, as it's got far more content to offer.

Skies of Arcadia by far.

OLED is the next step up for sure....but yeah, ouch on the price.

Fuck it all, drop 2500 on a 3d projector, mount it to a ceiling and point it at a flat white wall.
1391  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What's the haps? on: February 14, 2013, 03:52:27 PM
It's bigger than your comfortable field of vision. You'd have to actually move your eyes to see other parts of the screen comfortably. You'd be more comfortable with a 50", as I think that's the smallest panasonic makes for those plasmas, and even then it's still a bit large. I'd recommend moving your couch or viewing seat back another 2 feet if possible, it will feel much more comfortable.

If you can, go to a store and just try looking at a tv the size you're thinking of from said distance. If you feel comfortable with it, go for that size and try amazon for a good deal.
1392  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What's the haps? on: February 14, 2013, 03:09:39 PM
Is plasma aight for movies and shite?

I need a good middle ground. Money is concern to this humble horsemaster.
Newer plasma tvs have better black levels than most other models, and seeing as you don't wanna spend 20,000 bucks on a sony 4k yet, the panasonics are pretty good bang for your buck.
1393  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What's the haps? on: February 14, 2013, 11:51:07 AM
Anyone have any thoughts on the best tv to get? Of course gaming is my main thing.
Panasonic viera class plasma, depending on the distance you'll be sitting away from it, minimally 50".

I much preferred my date for the night, honestly. :P

She didn't win? Jesus, the winner must have been a goddess.
