19:00 pdt is pretty late, midnight here. I'll try, though.

I do have one awesome memory of ffxi, now that I think about it.

Parn was on ventrillo with me one day and iirc he was in the den of rancor. Now this was a few years back so my exact recollection of details is lacking, but he was fighting a bomb NM and got some aggro. This part is better explained by him, but the part I enjoyed was when he had obviously chose a new target and attempted to change his target back.to the bomb nm...only he wasn't having such luck. A few moments of still not targetting resulted in a memory I will never forget.

Parn, the normally level headed individual who keeps calm when insulting or arguing, lost it and shouted over the headset "TARGET THE FUCKING BOMB!!!". Seriously, I had never heard such rage over a headset...outside my own while playing mega man 9. It was hysterical, I couldn't stop laughing.

God I wish I recorded it.

I like the sound of that, but being that I've given up on a new pc for a while...I'm mildly limited to cell phone use. If you do decide to do it via irc, can anyone recommend a good android irc app?

That was terrible.

Debating on whether or not to take a couple days off from the gym. I can't bend over to well and my quads hurt like a bitch still. Both elbows are sore, and my right shoulder has taken some serious abuse from supporting a 70lb toolbag with a shot shoulderstrap that cuts into my arm. Basically...I'm a wreck.

Yeah, gonna relax this weekend I think. Monday will be a new week for me.

Wait, are you working out every day? Because you'll see less returns if you do. If your only workout consists of strength training, then two days off a week are a must.
Pfft, I can't maintain more than 4 days a week weight lifting. But yeah, I generally give myself a couple days rest at some point. This time I decided to take an extra few days to rest though. Haven't been getting a lot of sleep either, which is a must for lifting.

Yeah, I'm just being sleepy really.

To skip the fairly long babble and rehash of interview comments, Sony themselves don't sound like they wanna implement their own online registration, but will give other publishers the option to do so. Basically, though, they didn't say anything at 100% certainty.

I was speaking with a friend of mine recently regarding this xbone fiasco, and he said something that put this whole thing in massive perspective for me.

"I'm an xbox fan, I'm gonna buy it anyway".

He's in the larger percentage of gamers who simply follow a brandname and a trend. It's why the 360 did so well even though they fucking died 1 in 3 times. They don't care what terrible shit it forces onto us, or what kind of power they give manufacturers and publishers by saying things like that. His friends are gonna buy it, so he is also gonna buy it. Always online? Fine, I'm always online anyway. Charging for used games? Don't buy used anyway. I asked him " How the hell do these things not completely piss you off as a consumer? They're telling you how you can use your stuff basically. Don't you care about what you're losing by supporting this?"

"Nah man, I just wanna play that call of duty with my boys".

This....is why MS can and will get away with this shit. This is why Robert Kotick got away with being a major dick regarding infinity ward. This is why EA has been voted worst company 2 times in a row....because people are content with being stupid...as long as their buddies are being stupid as well.

I think I need new friends.

Make sure you're actively replacing your pawns. They do not level up with you. Honestly, get a high level pawn off a buddy and be done with it if you're really having trouble. The exp penalty is garbage if your pawn is 2 shotting stuff for you. Personally, I avoided mage based classes like mystic knight, but I've read that they are crack in a tin can. I still prefer my sexy assassin.

If anything, level up vocations just for the assortment of abilities. Autonomy is awesome later on when running solo isn't scary, and couple it with other stat boosters and you get ludicrous damage boosts. The game does the math in a newfangled way, rather than a boost of 10% and 20% giving you 30%, it boosts your stat first by 10%, then boosts that result by the next bonus of 20%, essentially giving you a much higher bonus. Autonomy, clout, vehemence, and bloodlust give a ludicrous boost to my damage when I'm alone at night, multiplying my base damage by almost 5 times. Autonomy and Bloodlust also boost magic, so it's great for mystic knights. Both are assassin skills iirc. If you want a good warrior, you could always take my pawn. He's big and bloated, but he hits like a dump truck and is level 128 I think now.

Hell, it looked fine to me. You pc gamers care about visuals too much. The best pc games all look like crap anyway.

Make a small box of mirrors and tape it over the lense of the kinect, and it will explode from all the everything.
