New phone arrived today, Galaxy S4. It's funny, news was saying Samsung was having problems shipping out all the orders, and then fed ex knocks on my door with mine, haha.

So this pretty girl was in the weight room today, and being the horribly stupid macho man I am, I used this as a reason to lift heavier. I did a 6 plate t-bar row, which is roughly 270lbs of weights on a bar that i don't know how much it weighs, 5 times. The t-bar device we have is comprised of a long bar with a handle shaped like a cross (t-bar), and it's attached to a small holder that elevates the bar, and a small chest pad to lean against while pulling the bar upwards. Now I am pretty sure this device is designed for smaller weight use, as any time you put more than 200 lbs on it, it pulls you down so hard the chest pad makes it hard to breath, plus it's really uncomfortable. Yada yada, anyways, I do a modded version that lets me stand upright and pull the bar higher in exchange for my pelvis being pulled into the pad instead.

....still hurts my penis though.

Anyways, doing these HOOGE WEIGHTS, and the pretty girl notices me, which is kinda hard not to considering when I rack the weights, the small area around me shakes. Her friend, a dude, and her walk up to me and asks me how much that weighs, so I told her. Her friend's jaw drops and she bug eyes me. Generally when people get that look of astonishment (bewilderment), I just chuckle, but this time I went ahead and said thank you.

She the said "I wish my boyfriend were as strong as you".

I then went back to weightlifting, completely defeated.

Women suck.

Coming from a guy who generally picks a female character because she's attractive, I don't think these designs are very attractive at all. Thank god the game looks fun overall, cuz tits hemmingway and the a-boobilicous-man-azon are seriously disgusting looking characters. The archer chick looks pretty cool though.

Honestly, I think the sorceress' chest is so huge because she stuffs her bra with scrolls....

One dick move doesn't make you a dick forever. I mean, let's use the tales discussion for reference. Namco Bandai dicked us by not bringing over Tales of Vesperia to Ps3, but does this mean they are dicks? No, they just pulled a dick move. Now, Kevadu GENERALLY is a pretty cool guy, but let's face it, out of the infinite realm of ways he could have replied to Alisha's statement, he chose to say it the way he did, even quoting her previous comment to rub salt in the open wound. Now call me crazy, and Kevadu is no troll, but that was definitely a trollish reply, no matter how truthful it may be. It was intended to sting and cause someone discomfort. Semantics aside, you both got your thoughts pretty well stated, so lets get back to the reason we're all here...to talk about how AWESOME Milla'a voice actress is!

She is pretty awesome.

There's also the fact that you said you'd be offended by people claiming it the best akin to calling brawl.the best fighting game, offering no sort of respect towards anyone elses opinion. I am in the same boat as you, graces battle system isn't my favorite, however I can understand how other people like it more....I think?

Also, she didn't call anyone a troll, just accused him of the act of trolling. Honestly, based on the reply, can you say otherwise, even if she TOTALLY asked for.it?

Just started playing this yesterday. It's borderlands 1 with more stuff.

This is a good thing. I am quite entertained at this point.

Workout partner didn't show yesterday, and I paid for it when I asked a buddy to spot me. I went for the 315 without my motivational support (jealous rivalry, whatever you prefer), and had another friend of mine spot me, but he was specifically told not to pick up the weight unless I asked or he saw that the weight was in fact not able to go up with my own power. I got the barbell off the rack without much effort (that alone is pretty impressive), and brought it down to where my elbows formed 90 angles straight up rather than all the way down to my chest. I started to push it back up slowly, as this was 315 pounds and not easy by any means, and my spotting buddy immediately pulled it up, ruining the lift. I said duuuude, I had control of it...he was a little sadfaced that I scolded him. I understand he's just trying to keep me alive, but the amount of concentration and focus I had built up to do that was completely blown. I take a second attempt at it, and now somewhat fatgiued from first try, and mentally throw off, I feel less capable and it takes longer to start pushing it up again. This time my friend doesn't pull up so quickly, just enough to get my elbows started again as he said, but it still wasn't a full lift.

Yesterday was incredibly disappointing.

Pressure cookers don't weigh too much, mesh. Maybe 10 lbs for smaller ones, and given that this shithole was planting them and moving they couldn't be that big. A box of nails weighs may e half a pound for several hundred, and ball bearings depend on how big and what metal. Add your explosive cocktail recipe and the overall unit weighs under 25lbs I'd say. Easy to carry 1 or 2 without much effort in a sack or backpack as they did. It'd make for a very easy placement and evasion, allowing for one guy to do the work and seem less conspicuous. Honestly I'd be surprised if anyone else was involved in this, as it seems designed to be quick in and out.

Who can guess at the motives of madmen?

In any case, I have a feeling it's far from finished yet.
This kinda makes me want to don a large metallic suit of armor with buily in weaponry and an AI navigator/HUD attendant/butler....hmm.

2/3 of earth is comprised of water....you'd think some environmentalists would figure out how to make it drinkable instead of converting our own piss back to drinkable water. Priorities...

HEY this isn't fighter's generation, keep your arcade terminology outta here! Nyucknyuck.

But yeah, you've got a good point otherwise Akanbe. That's why I prefer Abyss and Vesperia and even symphonia. Makes it feel more arcade like, where again, graces feels more tactical. In a nutshell, vesperia and its ilk reward abusive combos, whereas graces rewards strategy, blocking, evasive actions, and so on.

Heh, I remember in tales of destiny that one ring that allowed you to use motions for artes instead of just button+direction. Now that was an awesome idea. Wonder if it'll ever happen again?

People have put dollar values on every other natural resource, including water. As much of a douche as he sounds like, is it really that surprising to hear it?

New workout partner, this guy's 40 years old and puts up as much weight as I do. We did shoulders today, and he had me do his routine instead of my usual 5 exercises at 5 sets each. We did 6 exercises, 3 sets each for shoulders, and 4 exercises at 4 sets each for triceps. This....was a bit of a stretch for me as I don't do that much yet. Furthering his attempt to kill me, we started with military presses at 200lbs on a smith machine...I have never even tried pressing 200lbs yet, and he wanted to start on it. However, I also never tried working out with someone on my level, so this was giving me some motivation to try harder. I managed to keep up with him almost the whole way, though he did throttle back his weights on some exercises so I could stay on par with him. Tricep stuff was cake, I have some monster triceps now. Today, we're gonna hit up chest, and he already said the aim is 315....I'm almost excited.

Today's gonna be a good day.

Graces F doesn't have a dumbed down battle system, it's far more detailed in regards to specializing attack strategies. They simplified controls, but gave it a more tactical feel, requiring you to check your opponent for weaknesses and capitalizing on them, instead of an overwhelming offensive in most other Tales games. I'm not saying I disliked any of the battle systems, Tales has always delivered fun through combat. I am saying that the 2D plane of combat is my preferred medium, which is what Alisha seems to be saying.

Tales rarely doesn't deliver the best combat system in a JRPG, and even their worst game still trumps most any other JRPG combat system.
