So I called a mulligan for my birthday this year. Considering I started traveling to work yesterday at 7:30am and got home after 12:00am this morning, my day was a bust. Everyone gets a mulligan for their birthday one time, right?

Maybe that's what Joel was supposed to be thinking too?

WHhhhoooooaaaaaaa....

So being that it's a fungal parasite and not actually a virus or infection, perhaps that would displace some of your theory, Ashton?

I still like what you said though, that whole thing made some sort of no sense in my head, but it had to happen in such a way given the story progression. Character redemption, etc

Happy birthday to me....

Gotta get up in 5 and a half hours.

At least no one got arrested this year :)

I've beat the game.
Code:
It doesn't really matter that it attacks the brain "first," it shouldn't even reach it because it has to reach the brain through the bloodstream, and if it's not causing any damage in the brain, it means it's being eradicated before reaching the brain by the host immune system. I just find this to be more than a bit unbelievable; the first immune human ever and you're going to cut her up? It flies in the face of any sort of logical thought process.[/URL]
It does seem a bit flawed. Course, a mushroom virus that turns you into a zombie-esque freak is a tad outlandish itself.

Through a purely observational point of view,
Code:
doesn't the cordyceps virus attack the brain first according to the game, and usually within minutes of infection, leading to the runner stage of infection in about a day? I'm basing it on the fact that most details regarding infection in game show brain x rays and head scans. I mean,it's a fictional disease so facts are laughable, but idk how far you've gotten and maybe you missed some stuff...just tossing it out there.

Ah, but it was decided just after you left the chat. I was going to do Suikoden II, but people didn't feel comfortable with that. In the end it was settled the game would be...

*~Quiz #4 - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)~*
Date: July 13th 2013
Time: (Countdown Clock Here!)
Ewww, I only played ocarina of time once. Link to the past was my preferred zelda title....ah well. I'll be there.

Having never played a Zelda game before, my boyfriend will be making the questions for this quiz. I'll still be researching them to make sure they are airtight though.

Still deciding on the next quiz, goosey? It may be time to unleash the disgaea quiz....

Marauder 18, blacksmith 12, and pugilist 7 as of this post. That story fight was unexpected and came after what was a fairly hard encounter to begin with. I lost the first round and did the same as parn, bought some consumables and tried again. Instead of attacking both like a doof, I ran away and let the gargoyle chase me down while mage mclazyass stayed put. Turned the fight into a cakewalk.

Happy birthday to me~~

Had a fun night (real birthday on the 28th).  Got money and hiked for four hours, then celebrated with good ol' red meat.
May post pictures.  I look like I big tit in half of them, usually posing stupid. :)
Happy Birthday lady. So how many years now have you been 21?
1481  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XIV: ARR, a Thread Reborn on: June 28, 2013, 09:02:41 AM
After careful deliberation, I started up on ultros. All my old ffxi buds (who all quit xi WELL before I did) are there, so  I gotta pretend I miss em a little bit. Character name is Agent Dee (yep, I got away with it). I had just enough time this morning to make my character, watch most of the opening cutscenes (had to skip some of the limsa lominsa arrival scenes) and jump twice before I had to exit and head to work.

I haven't been excited to play a game like this since ffvii I think.

Using the stock hdd that came with my good ole 60gb system. Considering I played ffxi on ps2 and then 360 for years, I think I can deal but is the lower end hdd going to make a huge difference?

When I was little, I had a recurring dream where I was trapped in my elementary school with the first girl I ever had a crush on and a random couple of other students, always girls from my class or the other class  of the same grade. It was always the same premise, earthquake occured and we had all gotten trapped on a stairwell by an exit. The exit was blocked by a board that was covered in debris and couldn't be moved easily. Sometimes the variation for the dream would start where I would already be holding the board up, but it would end up the same result of me lifting the board for everyone to get out. The girl I had said crush on would always kiss me on the cheek as she passed by, and then more debris would fall on me and I would slip to one knee and the doorway would fill in trapping me again. The dream was pretty regular for a few years, starting in 2nd grade. Idk if the dream itself was my own doing or something else because I used to dwell on it in school and sometimes at home. It didn't help that I would usually spend classes I was in with the girl just staring at her. I haven't had that dream or a similar one in a lot of years...actually I don't really dream all that often anymore. The last dream I really remember was me preparing to punch something, only to brutally awaken to my slamming my fist into a wall. Hurt like a motherfucker.

Also, you could get with the times and buy an hdtv. Just sayin...
I'll try screwing around with settings, though I normally don't need too. I should probably get with the times, but that costs money I don't have.
Just busting chops for a lul or two. Try the sharpness and maybe get some luck. The problem is most companies are not catering to the lowest denominator (sdtv users...) so you're actually shorting yourself if the long run dragging your heels on an upgraded set. I know about shitty income, but you can get a crappy hdtv for under 300 bucks if you don't mind a smaller size. You could also try getting a component to vga adapter and use it on a computer monitor, though those can be pricey and you'd need something else for sound. Just a couple suggestions for the frugal consumer of today.

Another big thanks to Tenchi from myself, this is the first MMO I've been excited about in a decade or more and I'm really happy I was able to snag a PS3 code this morning thanks to your warning. I've run into an unexpected problem though. My housemate only lives with me during the school year and he is the one with an HDTV. My CRT is excellent for playing older games and I usually don't need it for new games, but the text in the FFXIV Client is unreadable. I've gotta find a way to borrow a TV or maybe just live at a friends house for the weekend.

Also in my craze to get a Beta code from somewhere I ended up getting a second PS3 code so if someone wants one shoot me a PM. EDIT: And it's gone.
Little things you can do to make viewing text easier on old tvs is decrease the sharpness so the pixels don't get "too defined" if you will. Used to do that with games like FFX and Enchanted Arms cuz the text sucked.

Also, you could get with the times and buy an hdtv. Just sayin...
