The Jerz

My wife is from New Jersey so I've spent a decent amount of time in various parts of it, and I don't really get all the hate it gets. It's definitely in my top 5 for states, and one of the very few where I think I could live without going insane (too far south and the weather gets gross, I'd feel super isolated in the midwest, New England is terrible, and I've never been to the west coast).

Did you really just defend NJ against the hate it gets by hating on six states at once?

That's a very New Jersey thing to do.

Did no one notice that Mesh left a pretty normal comment?

I'm pretty sure he MEANT to post....
"This reminds me of the time I bought like a 28-pack of New Jersey underwear because I thought it would protect me from hives, you know, like bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurghhhhh, right?

That darn corn"
but accidentally posted something normal.
Nothing about New Jersey is normal, so his relatively normal statement is just proof of the fact that jerseyis terrible.

Artimicia, what part of the world do you hail from?

Oh ho! Hm I guess you got me sort of Tsundere, but I am from the magical land of California. I visited New York City a couple times, as well as a variety of other East Coast cities (primarily on a college search), but I've also been to Missouri, Florida, etc, Las Vegas, random places, etc.

I was just curious, you've put up a few cool pictures and have spoken of multiple areas you've visited, was just curious.

Day 5 of my week off from the gym that no one knew about except me...I feel pretty much exactly the same except I'm not always hungry. Skipped a meal all week this week and I feel pretty alright, aside from just bored while working.

I think I just need a vacation already.

I kinda envy you guys who somehow just forget to eat because I'm guessing you don't have any weight problems as a result. I've gained like 5 pounds over the last month because eating good food is the only thing that makes life worthwhile. Not overweight yet, but I keep a eye on it. I was overweight starting halfway through elementary school and I didn't get my weight under control until a few years ago after I learned what amount sane, normal people eat (aka a lot less than I'd like).

Watched the killing joke last week, forgot to talk about it here. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are my favorite batsy and joker far and away, so them back in action always makes me happy. The batgirl dominated first half was not as godawful as some would make it out to be, but it was definitely a bit odd. The love story they were trying to put out felt weird (still better than twilight). The actual killing joke story was amazing though. I mean, I've read it a dozen times in anticipation if the movie, but on screen is just so much more vivid, AND they kept it on the less extreme side (slightly). Great way to blow a saturday, for sure. If you're any kind of Batman fan, you oughta watch this.
23  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Awesome deals - 2016 version - Save money for that NXMH on: August 22, 2016, 12:54:21 PM
Not really a deal so much as a warning to the frugal gamers here. Sony's jacking the ps+ price up starting september 22, a one year sub will now run 60 buck US and 69.99 CAD. Nothing about europe yet, but I expect news shortly for them too. The 3 month and 1 month prices will be adjusted too, I just didn't care to look them up because they're ripoffs. Grab yourselves another year before the price hike, ladies and gents.

those weeaboos who like to call me Tama-chan in an overly cutesy voice

I wanna record myself saying it in an overly gruff voice just for giggles.

It's always tulips, isn't it?

Anyway, I'm in a bad mood. I donated blood on Monday, something that's usually no problem, but then my period started right the day after. Now I'm too tired for archery practice. Which sucks, because one reason I like archery so much is because it let's me focus on just one thing for a few hours. Now I have nothing to distract me from my magazine related frustrations (Monday is the big deadline, but there is so much to do, but I can't do much because I need to wait for others to finish first and it's just all very frustrating!), which means I probably won't sleep that well despite being tired. Yay...

Maybe I should play some Tetris... That used to work (until I accidently turned into one of the country's best players and got bored with it)...
Obligatory ewww, and I feel you Tomara. This last week coupled with the previous week have taken their toll on me, and though mine is unrelated to the human reproductive system, I've been having a pretty annouing bout of bleeding from ...gross places. It's entirely due to my weight lifting, but the lifting is my meditation ritual, but now it's just another problem in my life :(

Mine's a nickname I modified from childhood. Started playing a few games that wanted names online and the original version of the name (Doogie) was rarely available, so I'd use Agent Doogie which sometimes ended up being too long. So it became Agent D....and here we are some 15 years later.
28  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: FINAL FANTASY XV, This is a fantasy based on reality. on: August 17, 2016, 12:11:30 AM
Kevadu, I don't wanna sound like a dick when I say this so I'm trying to keep it curse free just for you...

It just seems fishy that right before the actual release, noticing how many people are looking at this and how big a production this has all been, that they'd decide right before they put their material on discs and available on the servers for download to push the whole thing back 2 months, right in the realm of the absolute busiest shopping seasons in the U.S. and many parts of the world. In a purely business sense, it always made more sense to release for the holiday season, and I'm pretty sure at this point SE is dying to make some money back on this titanic production of (ok one curse) MOTHER FUCKING ALMOST 11 YEARS!!!

You probably are right, but even if you weren't, it's almost guaranteed that no one will ever know otherwise.

So many people bought this game, so much hype...but wow the negative reviews and word of mouth about how boring it is astonishes me.
30  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: #7favfilms is trending right now. So what's your 7favfilms? on: August 16, 2016, 08:34:04 PM
Dat theme tho. I could listen to it for days.

I basically stand by the logic that if I find myself watching a movie from any point I flip it on at, it's preferred or I haven't seen it in ages. Snatch I can watch the last 30 seconds of and still be happy, same for Pacific Rim and Kung Pow. Hell; every movie I named I can watch whenever it's on without objection.
