Buy it on the vita, cuz the vita is just darn terrific.

Also, bought freedom wars. Is nice.

I hated giving it a score when I reviewed it.  The story's good, the gameplay's good... I just felt like it was too much story.  You're not exaggerating at all about hours between battles, although thankfully that problem gets a little better as the game goes on.  The story stuff is still long later, it's just not as long as it is in the beginning.
Nothing can be as bad as the fucking 3000 hours of kingdom hearts 2's Roxas intro crap.

It is a hunting game but I wouldn't call it a Monster Hunter clone. The two are really different. Monster Hunter has really slow, precise gameplay whereas Freedom Wars combat is pretty fast paced. It also doesn't focus on grinding the same battles for upgrade materials nearly as much as Monster Hunter does. You still can but you don't really need to. The idea behind the game world is really cool but they don't really do anything with it.

Most people think it is the best hunting game on the Vita. I thought it was fun but the story segments between missions can be a bit too long when the main draw to the game is the gameplay. There are different boss type monsters but combat kind of stays the same throughout.
Is it safe to say it's similar to...say...Gods Eater or Lord of Arcana?

Has anyone here ever played Freedom Wars on the Vita? I like the videos I've seen of it, but am wondering if it's any good in a "let's actually play the game, not the flashy cool combat scenes" kind of way.

Better yet, would anyone recommend it?

Girlfriend wanted to watch Reign (on netflix).  I saw that it was a period piece about Mary Queen of Scots.  Since I am a history freak, I figured that it might be nice to see something about 16th century Great Britain (can I call Scotland/England before 1707 "Great Britain"??) that wasn't all "HENRY THE 7TH WAS A FAT TITTED PRICK WHO LOVED THE WHORES AND KILLED SOME WIVES AND HAD SYPHILIS!!" because I'm honestly sick of the Tudors at this point.

Anyhow, about 15 minutes in I realized that this show was made by the CW, which means that it turned out to be another version Gossip Girl with stupider clothes and terrible accents.   EVERY SHOW ON THE CW RIGHT NOW IS A REHASH OF GOSSIP GIRL! Just in a different setting.  There were no less than 6 characters that were so obliviously IRL versions of fan service for teenage girls that I wanted to jump into the TV and punch them in their stupid faces.  Excruciating.
The Flash is pretty good >_>

You know, I like Paul Rudd, I really do. He's been a snarky funny guy for years now. But I don't see him as a super hero. This movie is gonna be a stinker, I think.

Whoa whoa whoa, hang on a sec. You wore a tunic and WERE NOT cosplaying as Link?

It's not like I wore my green tunic.

Forever how I will imagine you at an anime convention.

What I mean about the source of his issues is no one ever showed him a right and a wrong way to do things. His actions are his alone, but it is similar to the rich people who don't understand that they are accountable for their actions, with the obvious exception that he(Chris) is actually unable in some regard to do so, whereas rich people are just self entitled shitsnobs who don't care. Again, not defending his actions in the least, he needs to be taught that his wants amd desires don't allow him to act as he pleases. Just saying that he's not some psycho with a superiority complex.

It should be noted that Chris-Chan was a very popular target of trolling back in the mid to late 2000s. He's a high functioning autistic, and lead a very pampered life because of his disability, which coupled with a large dose of internet idiocy and the amazing 4chan community (/sarcasm) lead to his current state of problematic behavior and tendencies.

Long story short, I feel bad for him because he is a victim of the internet. Doesn't excuse his actions but it definitely gives a source to look at when therapists need reasons for why he is as fucked up as he is. Though I don't recommend reading further into it, you can google his name and get entire websites dedicated to him, as well as fucking with him.

I kinda boycotted Wii U Daily because it's a terrible website, but the promise of seeing Chris-chan is...tempting....
I just linked it from n4g, you can read it on his encyclopedia dramatica entry, and you can see the vid on youtube.

http://wiiudaily.com/2014/12/man-maces-gamestop-employee-over-sonic-boom/

This made my day, mostly because I haven't seen Chris-Chan or however you stylize his name in the interwebz news in a while. He maces a gamestop employee (I guess it's mace, the guy didn't really look phased by it) and according to the article, has been vandalizing copies of "Sonic Boom" because Sonic the Hedgehog's arms are now blue instead of white as they have always been. Not because the game sucks ornis poorly made, or because the cartoon they also have alongside the show is terrible, or because they turned Knuckles into a moronic brute with a physique similar to superman...but because Sonic's arms are blue.

Ahh, good ole Chris-Chan.

I'm sure Agent didn't mean any harm. I think he was just saying sometimes exposure too the cause of the allergy  can reduce it to unnoticeable levels. I'm allergic to dogs, but I'm not allergic to my mothers dogs as I spent years with them. Cats are something I never seem to get used to though, they cause the worse reaction in my, can't breath, can't see cause my eyes swell up and are wateryitchy. Very horrible and no exposure seems to help, I think it just depends on the type of allergy.

I know. My anger is directed at the idea, not him specifically. When I was in school I broke my wrist playing football. I continued to play because I didn't want to be seen as not tough and I wanted to tough it out, it made it worse.
Yeah, I known that football comparison quite well. I snapped my ankle playing basketball when I was 18. I couldn't walk and started panicking. My friends were laughing at me and such cuz they thought I was exaggerating, but after a sleepless night of screaming pain, my mom took me to an emergency room and I had broke my ankle in two spots. I had no intentions of going to a doctor for it, mind you, but after screaming trying to use the bathroom because I lost balance and put my foot down....yeah...

For the record, no one apologized for laughing about it :(
