Could be a pop up blocker of some sort.

Bench pressed 335 pounds today. Pretty pleased with myself.

Yeah, definitely going to go with STR. Currently my jewelry has a combo of vitality and critical hit rate, mostly the latter.

Praetorium is an awesome dungeon - great final area imo. I tried Dhorme Chimera last night, holy shit that was hard. Three times and no luck. I've encouraged everyone to start their relic quests, so we'll see how far along we get. :)

Titan HM scares me.
When you fight Dhorme Chimera, first thing you oughta do is pull it out of the cave and to the snowy hill behind where you start. If you put it on the hillside, you can essentially ignore dragon's voice entirely as it won't hit anyone below the chimera's elevation and the safe zone is directly next to.him, so everyone oughta be safe from it. Ram's voice is all you need to stop now, and that's easy enough for a bard or pld offtank, or even a drg if they're looking for it. The mages and ranged DD need to be aware of ram's keeper as that's the only other attack that may cause problems. If you're going in with a full group of people working on relics, I'd consider holding the limit break at level 3 for a healer limit as it can revive dead party members to full weakened hp, but if you've built a level 3 you may be close enough to bring a weakened party up to finish the job. Honestly the chimera is way easy, as long as you go to that hill I mentioned, just gotta be alert.

Sorry, the item you're looking for is called Keeper's Hymn, Kyuusei. It's 10,000 seals from any company and available to purchase at the starting rank. Also, dex is only for ranged and blocking with shields, so yeah, unless you plan on piercing talon being your main means of damage, dex is nigh useless for anyone not Bard or Pld.

Tank shouldn't hit harder than DD. And the weapon damage is similar, only a couple points difference. The big kick is my war has about 20 points less str than my drg, but if defiance is up and I'm actively using the storm's eye combo, my damage is about 20 points higher off initial attacks.

Level 50 dragoon get tonight. Took almost 8 hours to do it from 45. Went from level 43-45 gear to darklight armo, AK accessories, and Garuda's Beak for a weapon. My hp almost doubled when that happened, was fucking awesome (though granted I put on a tanking wrist and myth tank ring as it's all I have available atm).

Sad part so far though is my war has hit harder with the relic +1.

Yeah.....don't like your strategy lol.

My most successful strategy is similar in approach to yours. I offtank as a war, pld main. I actually stay off the boss almost entirely and instead do slime gathering. Due to the nature of getting the unlucky extreme far side slimes, I usually hang out on top of the furthest hexagon til slimes spawn. Then I alone grab a single slime and feed it to cadeuceus as a range dps whittles it down alongside me. With any luck the snake splits generally after the second slime, in which case I grab the second snake due to it having zero hate (provoke's incredibly handy here if healers get spam happy). At this point, no more slimes, just whittle the snakes down as hard as possible, usually with the dps split and trying to maintain even health til I normally bite the bullet and pld preps hallowed ground for the remerge. At this point lb3 from a melee dps and he usually dies seconds after, otherwise heal spam and hope for the best. We try to keep 2 melee in for triggering his rear AoE attack, which is a great breather for a sec (I used to use that suggestion on the final boss of AK too when people still sucked gear wise). Honestly, if the dps is there and the plds or pld and war are competent, and the healers don't leave slack, Cadeuceus is just a pretty easy zerg fight. Turn 2 is in my opinion WAAAAYYYYYY HARDER. Unless you're going in with 2 plds make sure your second tank has provoke, it's almost a requirement. Also, don't let other people fool you, you can't have an allegan rot rotation of less than 5 people, you should have at least 5, preferably 6 for the easiest (and most convoluted) strategy. 2 plds probably make a silence rotation easiest for high voltage, but bards work too, as does a monk if they dedicate to it. To be honest, I don't really like the left path too much because ballista on the ADS is such a pain in the ass, but that fire star patterned move is easier to deal with albeit more deadly. Whatever you do, don't let that allegan rot node fool you, totally not worth dealing with the haste boost he gets.

Just a few suggestions you've probably heard already is all.

In other news, while we may be a bit behind the curve, Solaris cleared Bahamut's Coil Turn 1. Caduceus hits like a truck, but that fight is all about clearing the stacks before the split. ADS Mark II seems much easier, just need more attempts. Honestly I'm kind of disappointed in this uber dungeon. Aside from the blatant gear checks it doesn't hold a candle to how raiding used to be in WoW:TBC before the nerf bats. I'm looking at you Vashj! Of course my opinion may change by the time we get to the Gauntlet or Twintania. Enjoying it so far outside of the bullshit one hit kills :p
How'd you do the fight, if I may ask? I've been in a few successful turn 1s and 2s, and people seem to have lameass strategies which drive me nuts til I make obvious comments and suggestions and we win a round or 2 later.
1554  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XIV: ARR, a Thread Reborn on: October 25, 2013, 01:16:47 AM
I've been playing since release, as a tank and therefore have to deal with the majority of AoE and forseeable and thus avoidable attacks and with the occasional "me not paying enough attention to move out of the way" laziness, I have never experienced bad lag in game, though I've eaten a lag spike a couple times during dungeon runs which is more my issue than others. I've also played at all times of the day, so idk, but I'm thinking it's less SE's fault than most of the fingers pointing at them would have you believe. I can't always blame stupidity for getting hit by landslides (I'll try though, last time I ate one was 2 weeks ago on ultros and I didn't fly out), but when you eat bombs, it's entirely your own fault. I also may be bitter in regards to titan, since I haven't killed him again in over a week because I get stuck as OT and end up outdpsing the useless drg and mnk that inevitably join, and watch as the pld either loses hate due to sucking, eats a gamma wave/table flip/mountain buster anx doesn't have a cooldown prepped,or doesn't actually evade the bombs or even worse, runs titan around bombs while getting everyone killed. When I offer (respecced for str btw) with 6870ish hp, I get denied because it's too hard to heal me. People suck, they should go play fucking super mario or something and learn to play video games again.

As a blacksmith, it's weird to think I can make a spear that high since at level 32 I haven't made any at all, but good to know. :D TIME TO GRIND FOR TOMESTONES.

Obelisk isn't worth it. None of the crafted weapons are worth it unfortunately. Ifrit and Garuda are incredibly easy to farm for weapons. Save your tomes for your Relic and Darklight as a DRG. If you need Primals slain for your relic quest just let me know. We 5 manned Titan HM last week for 3 people.
You're a veteran 1.0 player with every class at 50, and probably equivalent friends that did it. Duty finder is full of people who suck.

Your triumph is noteworthy, but lacking because you have yet to beat a df titan. It is impossible.

On a less sarcastic and joke-worthy note, yeah 5 manned titan is pretty good, but to be honest as long as your dps can break gaols before shit hits the fan post heart, you can rape titan with ease,he's fairly easy. Which, in turn, makes me rage at HOW FUCKING AWFUL PEOPLE ARE when it comes to dodging his attacks. Seriously....
1556  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XIV: ARR, a Thread Reborn on: October 24, 2013, 12:48:48 PM
Oh man, I have no idea how to acquire an obelisk without paying for it.

I've also unlocked Ifrit hard mode, I really want to do that and all the fun(?) tomestone grinding.
Obelisk is a blacksmith item, needs a bunch of items including a darksteel ingot which requires 9 cokes. You get those off of the tomestone traders for 125 philosophy tomestones each.
1557  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XIV: ARR, a Thread Reborn on: October 24, 2013, 06:19:10 AM
So I helped a buddy out by getting the pieces together for an obelisk for him, which is a 600,000 gil i70 spear. Since I obtained the parts and had a friend make if,it cost a lot less and she even HQ'd it for me (she's awesome btw). I hook my pal up with it,and sure as fucking dogshit smelling bad, we do a garuda hardmode and the first win drops the lance. Thankfully I obtained it, but the hilarity was still abundant as the cost was pretty huge and honestly, once we drop titan he's gonna have 9 ak's til a gae bolg anyway, but at least it's different. Just find it all hysterical.
1558  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Random and Amazing Pictures, Please! on: October 22, 2013, 07:28:14 AM
Having dealt with that set of photos first hand when my mom died of cancer a few years back, I can safely say that though I dislike the end result to it, more people should be exposed to the darker sides of cancer. It might trigger a bigger outcry to do something more serious about it. Tv and stories do little to show how much cancer can change a person's entire life physically, but this photo collection showed it pretty bluntly. I'm sorry she didn't make it honestly, and even more sad to know she left behind a man that loved her, but it's a good show with a great shock factor. I appreciate you for bringing it her yodes.
1559  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Crazy Eel House music video! on: October 21, 2013, 04:19:07 PM

And that's not really our normal musical style, kind of a joke tune. We go in all different directions. All fiddle based, but that's about as close as it gets.
Well it's definitely a good video. Also interesting to see you at work, definitely a telented musician.

Also....your drummer's kinda hot, but I see what you mean about the meh playstyle she emanates. She looks less like she wants to drum and more like she wants to just model in front of the drums. No soul, no vitality, just there. But yeah, she's kinda cute though, lol.
1560  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XIV: ARR, a Thread Reborn on: October 21, 2013, 04:13:56 PM
This made me laugh.

Musta tried tanking titan on Hard Mode as a war...before and after.
