I don't understand what the problem is with having all those different things available to us? Some of the content is more for newer players or just has such shitty rewards that messing with it isn't worth anything now. The active content, including salvage, limbus, einharjer, sky, Legion, Dynamis, assault, and so forth is always in use and a good chunk of it has been tweaked recently for more play from high end players. I completely disagree with finessing the current content more, outside maybe garrison which I have never done due to a lack of desire and manpower. The game is currently at a very solid standpoint, everything is doable with a good group INCLUDING NEO NYZUL, and the constant stream of doing the same 7 or 8 things every day is getting played out. The new content was needed, badly.

I can agree with Rune Fencer being a GS drk, but there is no problem with that in my eyes. Their gear options are vastly better than any light DD, and they have great defensive spell choices. If they had some sort of healing ability, the class would be a solo king for regular enemies. As Hathen told me in game (and I didn't agree at first...still don't fully), the only thing that may suck for them right now is their lack of utility for high level play. Don't need their single target buffs, whm and sch do it better, and their runes won't be terribly useful against large enemies in DD situations. Lunge may have some utility, but I can't tell you yet, my best was a 500 damage hit with double fire on an ep enemy as a drk99/run49. The defensive abilities may prove useful.yet, but as it would require bringing some rune fencers to big fights and actually practicing with it, that may take a while too. I do know one thing, any DD in full thaumas gear has a pretty solid tp phase of attack, and now a 2 handed weapon user has thaumas access...could be interesting.

I don't like geo so much right now, their spells create ridiuclous slow down

New expansion dropped tuesday, went live wednesday. Few basic thoughts so far...

Rune fencer is my second favorite class now. I enjoy the shit out of it, and it's only level 30. Can't wait to see it at 99 (saturday probably lolol)

The new area, Adoulin, is very pretty considering what they had to work with, and the music has a very oldschool rpg town feel to it. I approve.

The music itself is impressive, I like the new battle theme, much more than abyssea or even standard fighting, though assault battle music is still king.

Reives, the new collaborative battle objective thingy, is pretty intense right now. Enemies are on your level, and they don't play around. Constant respawning, high damage output, and and small quarters for fighting results in a large clusterfuck and bodies everywhere. However, it also means you have to cut loose and fight hard. No more 30 second fight and you're done, you're working now. It's great fun so far.

Kudos to SE for breathing some life into this game, and hopefully this is a sign of good things to come for XIV.

I tell you what, I could see Kiefer Sutherland pulling off big boss, but it wouldn't be the same without Hayter. Even if he's just a cameo voiceover or a fucking security guard or something, it's not really MGS without good ole David Hayter.

I feel as though I have missed a huge part of the story by not playing any of the PSP games. Dammit.
Only Peacewalker. Get the hd collection on ps3 or xbob, it plays pretty good.

Yeah, Zadornov, that's it.

In other news, I can't stop jizzing in my pants. This game.....Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh

Self employed, so I owe money. A good chunck I'd wager too, as I made like 28k from one company alone, and probably another 15 or so off another company, plus numerous other jobs. Tax season always sucks for me.

Goddamn left hand....

Isn't that hand from the jerkoff from Peacewalker, the guy from the end that you had to chase down in a bunch of areas? Can't remember his name, brain functions have died.

That tv is perilously close to a corner....everything in me wants to move it further in so it doesn't fall.

Argh I pinched a nerve in my back right by my shoulder blade. It hurts I can't fucking move a lot, GAH THIS SUCKS!!!!!!

The prophecy has come true.
It wasn't lifting related, no prophecy has come to pass, this happens like once every few months, I sleep poorly and get up in a bad way and the pain builds til it hits right about where it is now.

Don't be sad Dice, if you're sad, then I'm gonna be sad. And if I get sad, then Yoda's gonna get sad.....and if yoda gets sad, then goosey is sure to get sad...

You're gonna make us all cry :(

I won't lie, I was pretty sad haha
But that post made me giggle. x)

Thanks Agent.  And, reading your posts, try not to push it too hard at the gym.  If you hurt something, you'll be out from it for a while.  Oh, and I was in class and couldn't respond, but your "fart" incident when you were doing your weights made me "lol" -- fo reals.

But that's just it, I have to push myself harder. I've decided to invest myself into the strength training and try to become a powerlifter. I'm hoping by the time I'm 35 that I can compete in an actual strongman competition, maybe even break the Bench Press record of 715 lbs without any special lifting gear. If I keep at my current pace, maybe not the world record, but competitive lifting is a real possibility.

I won't forget any of you if I become famous btw.

Kevadu is completely right, the same strategy works for every standard fight in XIII, the optional fights post game aren't standard, and the same strategy works for most of them anyway.

285 today twice, though I had a spot on the second lift. If I keep up at this pace, I could seriously be one of the strongest men in the world one day. This excites me greatly.

Dagger my bud, do as I do and hit the gym, focus all your frustration on lifting massive amounts of weight. Before you know it, women will be a secondary thought, only used to anger you into picking up even more.

If any of that actually works for you, please let me know cuz I can't get it to work for me at all.

In other news, I'm starting to wonder if all this weight lifting is doing damage to my circulation. Since I started doing heavy weights, my left arm has developed a frequent habit of going numbish anytime I press against anything for a few moments. Laying down for example, if my arm is pressed against the bed, it starts to get the numb sensation. It's only lefty too, my right arm has no such issue. Dunno if I should worry or not, but I know it's about time I saw a doctor maybe....
