My problem with auto Item is the AI behavior seems to only be on or off, you can't define how the auto Items should be used, unless I'm missing something.
You forgot to press the start button in the strategy menu for auto item strategy.

Tina makes me laugh, Gene's hilarious....the whole show just works. But Louise really sells. Kristen Schaal is an actress bores me,but her voice acting is astounding.

My reply to that ma'am...

People actually enjoyed FFXIII somehow. At least Xillia isn't terrible. I knew immediately coming into this that Xillia wasn't top Tales quality, nowhere near Vesperia or Abyss. However, starved people will enjoy even the stalest of bread and enjoy every hard, disgusting crumb. Good rpgs have been fairly few and far between recently, and anything akin to the Tales system and style are even rarer. I like it even though honestly it's fairly generic crap. But it's my favorite kind of generic crap....one with a seriously hot main character.

The auto items is a nice addition, but the strat menu is pretty much the norm in tales. I can agree, however, that the new level.up mechanic leaves a slightly bitter taste in my mouth. It's fairly bland and reminds me too much of the sphere grid in FFX.

Regarding the difficulty; after getting better adjusted to combat in tales (again), it's easy to pick up and roll with. I am not bothering changing the difficulty however as long fights bore me after a while. If I'm in combat mode I jump to hard to entertain myself for a while, otherwise I leave it normal. I'm in the realm of overwhelming might is right, so I generally power my guys to hell and beyond. Beating a boss by the skin of your teeth using the absolute minimum of tactics which almost require abuse is no fun. Demolishing opposition with a plethora of abilities and skills amd leaving the enemy utterly trounced...this is fun. I want my training to be worth something, not leaving me gasping for air when something new appears. My new favorite mo e for jude is the sidestep hit skill whose name I forget. I fucking LOVE slipping past an enemy and punching it in its monster kidney. As of now, jude is one of my favorite heroes in combat. Aggresive play with well timed dodges are so fucking awesome.

Shame I don't like his battle theme as much as Milla's.

The newsroom...

Olivia Munn is the most awesome person on TV, but I sadfaced when they didn't show the pics of her.

I don't know how you guys do it. I've been mostly playing this and I haven't even finished chapter 1. I'm never going to get through my backlog.
I'm about to head to fort gandala, if that says anything.

Exactly the point I'm at, actually. Makes me feel a bit better.
I started saturday night...

@Dice
Nope, I keep getting thrown off by Mila Kunis, so the name is perma stuck.

Also, if your Alvin isn't wearing dem Aviators, you're simply doing it wrong.

If you haven't beaten it before you get your ps3, I'll gladly help you out. Otherwise, I advise you to get good at evading. Also, use the life point prayer for that extra last ditch attempt. You could also try obtaining gear with more defensive bonuses, and maybe try the knockback defense item, so you don't get flung by the tornadoes so easily.

She sounds like she's talking through a large screen. It's not so much a lisp as it is just poorly filtered. Added on top of that is her native language not being english, and basically you have a audio engineer that needs firing.
1635  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Earthbound now out on Wii U VC (seriously) on: August 11, 2013, 07:21:10 PM
Meh, the only combat items I ever used were the bottle rockets and the heavy bazooka. The hungry hp sucker generally sucked and was only good on exp fodder enemies and everything else was a waste of a turn where I could do damage. The defense shower had merit for the giygas fight simply because you can't attack at times during it.

So long as Ness had a few spare PP for emergency lifeups and the best available bat at hand, I was never worried about a fight. Just remember that it pays to take a minute or 10 when getting to a new area to level up once or twice. General rule of thumb is if you have psi freeze gamma by the second or third mole boss in the mines, you're doing good. Similarly, if you have freeze omega by that point....you may have spent too much time leveling.

Quick tip for any of you newbies, invest in fresh eggs in happy happy town and walk away for a few minutes while the game runs uninterrupted. The eggs will hatch into chicks and grow into chickens in a few minutes which you can sell for a HUGE profit.
