How come none of the cool variations of the boss music are on the OST? This=/=cool. I spent almost 200 bucks on this game, I want my fucking cool boss music.

Putting a picture of yourself out in the public is always a hard thing to do, especiallg if you've been nullied about your appearance when you were younger. It's been hard on me posting the couple of photos here that I have, nevermind on something like facebook...or a magazine. Power to you if you decide to, and honestly the only critic you need to appreciate what you did is yourself. However, I'm fairly certain that myself and pretty much everyone here would be impressed with such an act, knowing how you feel about it. Look at it this way, how many of the jackoffs that bullied you can say they're important enough to appear in a widely viewed media format?

PS3 launch is simultaneous.  Phase 3 is when the PS3 beta begins.  Phase 2 is gamepad testing on PC, of which feedback for gamepad testing will impact both PC and PS3 players.  I'm a gamepad guy, so I am really pumped for phase 2.
Ballin. I knew there was a reason I let you call me fat all the time.

I'll be upset if you don't make a galka this go-around.
Aww, I was gonna make a manthra...

I played drakengard 2 WAAAAYYYYY back, and enjoyed it somewhat, at least enough to beat it. Nier was a fun game, and the music made it outstanding. I also liked the concept of Kaine, especially the whole hermaphrodite stigma on her (it?). It was interesting, especially when you replayed the game and got the extra scenes regarding her. It tugged at the heartstrings, I don't care how much you gagged about her package. To get a new game with improvements upon both of these titles would be great.

@Yoda
Yeah, the wall thing can be a pain, but honestly, a good mount and a stud finder, you'd only make MAYBE 4 holes in the wall, more if you're talking a swivel mount. A little plaster and some touch up paint and it's like the holes were never there. Plus, you can buy some wire molding, hide all your cableage, and have the sexiest looking tv in your group of buds. If you really wanna be a badass, check out the new sonos speaker bar, unless you want real surround sound in which case you should get a good home entertainment system and a sonos hookup, or even better a sonos speaker system. If I sound like a sonos rep, I work for a dealer, so I technically am :). The stuff is great though, but the amps are a bit shitty, so avoid them.

@grim
Professionally, I've been an a/v installer for about 5 years alongside my father. Not so professionally, we've been setting up home sound systems for years, probably 15 or so. He's an audio engineer for 30+ years, and has worked concerts, stages, all sorts of venues as a sound guy. He's sort of "legally crippled" though, so now I do the work, he's just a consultant and advisor. I've got a pretty decent understanding of analog and digital signals, carpentry , networking to a degree, and he's got a grasp of sound that you'd get from years of musical background, as well as a background in carpentry and electrical work, video, and telecommunication (though his IT knowledge is lacking, he is an old man after all). We do pretty well, and one thing I picked up from him is don't be a dick about what you know. Share the knowledge. If anyone's ever curious about how to approach home audio and video like that, feel free to shoot me a pm, I'll try to help best I can.

I got a new teev over the weekend. Ballin 50" sony LED. (room is too bright for a plasma).

This thing rules my life
Nice, sony's tvs are still fairly solid. You wall mounting it, or leaving it on a stand?

Btw, as an installer, a suggestion for preferred viewing. Sit down where you plan on using it the most and make sure you sit regularly, as you would normally. Measure where your eyes start from the floor, and using that height you want to place the tv's bottom third at that level. So if you're seated so your eyes are 3 feet off the floor, and your tv's height is 3 feet high, you'd want the botton of the tv to start at 2 feet. I'm just using those numbers for ease of explanation, the actual numbers will be very different. It's supposed to give you the most comfortable viewing angle possible and allow you a full field of vision.

Just bought a laptop last night for an emergency installation in manhattan, but it's a pretty shit one. If it can run ffxiv though, I'll probably try to be there at launch...unless they attempt a ps3 launch alongside it, then I'm all over the pstriple launch.

Gym today, chest stuff (cuz no one cares about other areas except legs, right?). Benchpress was no increase in weight, but I did a larger amount of reps. 260 twice unassisted, 3 times with a spotter. Pretty solid, but my big move was incline bench press, which is naturally more difficult, and I did it after 2 other workouts. 225 3 times with no spot....I was pleased. I also wanted to make up for a poor week last week and tried doing some shoulder work, until I noticed a guy doing deadlifts. I had the crazy notion to try some clean and jerk. For those uninitiated btw, clean and jerk is basically a deadlift that rides into a military press. Now, I have mentioned this before, but I weigh 380 pounds. This, my friends, is a FUCKTON of fattiness, so any exerciser that encompasses me starting from a crouched position to a standing, like squats or deadlifts, is natively more difficult, so I only set up 145 lbs for the exercise. My first set was 5 reps and I was winded, 3 minutes later another 5 reps...then 3...then 2...last one I could barely even lift it over my head. Probably would have been better to not have done a full workout BEFORE doing Olympic style weight lifting, but hey, I'm tired and not broken, so I guess it's okay.

A funny note, I walked off to a small room for classes, and tried to level out with some pushups. I had placed my hands on the floor and took up a pushup position....and promptly fell down 3 seconds later. Before anyone says HAHA fatty, before I started working out I could successfully do 20 pushups with some effort. Basically, my chest was completely fatigued and I found it funny that I couldn't even hold myself up.

Hello

I felt kind of stupid last night, I had exchanged a few cards for those initial merit boosts and was saving my cards for later, thinking that the other ones opened up as the game progressed...

Well little did I know that you had to buy everything in the tier one line for the next teir 2 line to open up lol..

Anyway just thought I would mention this in case somebody else did this.
Yep, this was covered earlier in the topic too. You can't advance til both requirements are met, story advancement and all prior purchases made.
1648  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Tales of PlayStation(s) revealed on: March 11, 2013, 03:10:28 AM
It's not really a spoiler, it's pretty common knowledge that her name is Milla Maxwell. Her character entry in the manual even says she's the great spirit. Now if I told you that....wait, that'd be a spoiler, hee hee hee.

I just wanted Pascal to jump in front of the camera and pose when that was happening....
1650  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Tales of PlayStation(s) revealed on: March 10, 2013, 03:11:54 PM
Besides, Milla's backstory is she's really the great maxwell spirit. She's lived in semi isolation all her life, and only came out to deal with matter involving the lesser spirits. She's supposed to evolve as the game progresses.
