It's all for dicks now anyway, she leaves in the morning. I would have been king douche if I said anything before she left, you're right yodes. I think my best bet is to just wait for her to come back. Gives me time to clean up my act if you would.

Speaking of acts, been back at the gym since my ailment has run its course. Busting my ass harder than ever, more exercises, more weight, less rest between, more cardio (biking 4 before and after my workouts)...next obstacle is changing my diet. Having been a fatass most of my life, that's gonna be hard.

Just realized it's been over a month since I fixed my PS3's YLOD and it's still going strong.  Fuck yeah.
If it can last til the end of the year, you're golden. Sony's gonna announce the future of playstation on the 20th, and if it is a new system, it SHOULD be out end of this year.

So I've finally been able to play it since my friend visited. I really like it. Oliver is kind of dense, but it looks really pretty and the story is interesting so far, along with a pretty good battle system. But the difficulty does spike after reaching the desert.

wait until you get a little freedom to start exploring..... not only are areas accessible with baddies who completely own you before you can select "escape" but a few boss battles that followed left me coffee-less and nickle and diming em' with straight up physical attacks praying for healing sphere drops to survive.... i'm a gluten for this kinda stuff... luv it

That's what happens when you have too many sandwiches. Coffee is gluten-free after all, nyuck nyuck.

I actually think her leaving will be a blessing, as it gives me time to maybe build up that critical self esteem I lack, or maybe moreso discern if it's something real or just infatuation. I mean, I spent all of last night just pondering about earlier that evening...but a friend of mine did clarify that I really don't know much about her, outside of that she's amazingly pretty and gets along well with my sister. Besides that, she's spending the day with her family and then leaving tonight or tomorrow morning, so any oppertunity to speak to her is officially out the window anyways.
1671  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What's the haps? on: February 03, 2013, 02:20:25 PM
There is the one issue of her leaving for military basic training today or tomorrow, forget which. She probably won't be back here til.....fuck I dunno when. My sister's not even remotely disconcerted by the idea of me trying to hook up with her (mostly because she knows that I'm a chickenshit who won't work the nerve up). I think she'd be happy with the idea because she knows I'm far less stupid and more caring and considerate then most of the guys they know.

I haven't been this distracted by a lady since I was in grade school...I forgot how much this feeling sucks. But damn she's beautiful.
1672  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What's the haps? on: February 03, 2013, 01:32:27 AM
I don't know how to approach this. I can KIND OF speak to her in casual conversation, as I asked her about her leaving to join the military, and the three of us (her, me, and my sister) were all bullshitting in general, but I can't say anything that matters to her, such as "I like you" or "You're beautiful" or even something as silly as "What kind of movies do you like?". I'm trying to be intelligent about why I can't just ask her out or something, but it defaults to a simple reason. Not shyness or self esteem...entirely. Hell even rejection isn't that horrifying.

What if she says yes to a date and I screw it up, or we just don't click, or something equally horrible? I can deal with being shut down, anger and rage are sort of bedfellows in my life. But embarassment, incompetence, worst of all the thought of blowing my only shot with her...it is making me feel queezy just typing it here. I know if I said hey, lets go see a movie when you come back, she'd say sure. But I desperately don't want it to fail, enough so that I'll let this feeling of desire linger til I'm more confident with myself and what I can offer as a guy.

Dice, you're a girl (most of the time), would something like this make you feel awkward, being the subject of one's infatuation?

I really want to edit that so it cuts off just after "sister".

But I won't...
Hey fuck you, you have a love already, how'd you feel before you and him hooked up, huh?
1674  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What's the haps? on: February 02, 2013, 11:29:22 PM
So I have a problem...

I think I am in love with my sister's friend.

It's funny, he's dense as shit til literally the end of the game, then out of nowhere he fucking knows EVERYTHING.

Now I know why I remember her, she was in Choke. That was....a strange movie, but she was hot in it....like seriously hot.
1677  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Adam Sessler on Fox News discussing about video game violence on: February 02, 2013, 03:33:06 PM
As much as I hate GTA as a series, seriously, how many times do you actually stop amd shoot random pedestrians? Generally, you beat the shit out of them, ran them over, or (in my case) left them in the car and drove the car off a ledge. The only time people used guns to kill in GTA was when you were battling people who ALSO had guns, forcing you to defend yourself.

I ask you, when was the last time you had a super case of mass murders because of road rage on the news? How about a murderer running around with a chainsaw, katana, baseball bat, or freaking minigun? In the same regard, since these people love mentioning how you kill innocent people in these violent video games, how many times do you hunt down and kill unarmed people? You fight fire with fire in these games, and generally you're awarded for non-violent action in most of these games, like metal gear or splinter cell. Call of Duty, as much as I hate it, glorified fighting terrorists, not shooting innocent people. You were always tasked with defending lives from psychos, not being the psycho. And before anyone can argue multiplayer, in multiplayer everyone else has guns and are fighting you. Now having been experienced in firing a gun recently, I can safely say the only thing I learned from a video game was how to line up a shot. You don't learn about releasing a safety, reloading, recoil (outside of it messing up follow up shots), or even the proper way to stand while holding a gun to prevent your ass from falling over. You learn that from watching movies and tv shows far more effectively.

It's embarassing to see how stupid people are regarding video games as a means of violence, simply because of the lack of their knowledge of how they operate. It's equally embarassing how to know that 3-4 notorious video games have given the whole entertainment genre a bad rep. I mean cmon, Super Mario Brothers is the leading cause of the extinction of certain large turtles...all those fat kids jumping on them. Where's the outcry from peta?
1678  Media / The Soundroom / Re: Ni no Kuni : Wrath of the White Witch on: February 02, 2013, 05:30:39 AM
How does this game have a soundtrack? I swear, every song I heard was a rehash of the same track just with different notes and an adjusted melody.

Don't get me wrong, it was pretty nice for what it was, which was THE SAME DAMN TRACK EVERYHWERE.

12 days of no exercise sucked. Hit the gym FINALLY today, and hard, albeit safely. I didn't go for my usual high numbers, only capped on 225 on the bench today (all chest) and a couple complimentary exercises, but I did more sets on the bench than normal.

...Didn't help.that I got to the gym at 7:30 and they close at 9 :(

I was sick most of last week, so I waan't doing much outside of laying down and relaxing, so it made playing the game pretty easy. But to be honest, I have a pretty bad addiction to games, when I start a new one, unless it sucks balls I have trouble tearing myself away from it til I either A: beat it or B: find myself at a clean breakoff point where nothing extremely important is about to happen or is happening. I remember having beaten FFXIII in like 6 days, which was fairly impressive according to most people I knew (the fact that I actually beat it, most gave up due to sheer hate, loool).

You wanna talk about demonic dedication to a game? When MGS4 was released, I was working at a game store. I got the game the day before it was released, brought it home after installing it on my ps3 while at work, and proceeded to marathon it from 8pm that evening to 11:16am that next morning, 2 liter bottle of iced tea next to me and a small pizza to go through the night.  2 minutes after I beat the game, I walked to my phone, called my boss and told him I was not coming in that morning, see him tomorrow. He reminded me I wasn't working that day anyway, so I said oh good, hung up, went to my bed, and fell right to sleep. Best 15 hour marathon ever!
