As a resident evil title, I am disappointed. It's not scary at all anymore, the fright factor is gone. It's a shame, even the cheap thrills feel have no real fear inducing effect. I mean christ, enemies are on the floor and inactive, and you trip over them as you walk. It's as bad as smash brothers brawl's stupid ass tripping. Chris's scenario was so action paced it didn't have any feel of impending doom at all. You wanted to rush forward and just destroy shit....

Which leads me to my actual opinion. The new controls are astounding, if a bit difficult to get used to at first. Reminded me of going from MGS3 to MGS4. It feels familiar, but so much more to it. It actually reminded me of mgs4 with the rolling and prone fire. Running in as Chris and just shooting everything in so many ways... I was in my glory. The new melee tactics are impressive too, like Leon's awesome bulldog, and the facesmash against walls and fences. The new controls are a huge step in the right direction. They SERIOUSLY need to fix cover though. It's far too flaky as it stands, sometimes you go in, most of the time you eat a shitstorm of bullets. The qte you saw in yggdrasil's video is sort of misleading, it's actually not so silly, you're choosing directions to look in and find the keys, not just run through predetermined motions in a set time limit. More qte's like that would be nice, like if a large enemy grabbed you and you had to aim your knifr at a weak point to stab instead of just mashing your controller like a fiend to get out of its grip, similarly to dead space.

The demo has me excited, I really look forwars to this game.

I guess I'll just drink more arizona iced teas. They're cheaper anyway.

Yes, peace walker is definitely worth playing.

If you all haven't done so yet, truly recommend a pre order at any place offering the preorder bonuses. Plenty of extra crap for an early promise you'll buy it. As much as I hate lamestop, I enjoy the game more so I put mine in already (2weeks ago).

Soda isn't culinary shit, it's just heavily processed now. I've had a fresh lime soda made of freshly carbonated water and lime syrup (lime juice and sugar ) that was actually very tasty. You overprocess something to make it cheap and mainstream, and of course it's not going to be healthy. When was the last time you bought a container of fruit juice that was 100% juice and didn't cost triple the price of an equally sized juice cocktail or juice drink? Here's a good one, how many 100% juice drinks are 100% of the same juice? Juicy Juice was notorious for that. Ideally we should only eat fruit and drink only water. Course, that means you have to buy water now, since only a few places in the world offer decent tap water. A 16 ounce bottle of water, btw, costs as much as a 12 ounce can of soda, or a 23 ounce can of Arizona iced tea (another sugary atrocity that just tastes awesome).

If you'd like to know why so many people drink so much soda, it's because a 2 liter bottle of generally any soda in most super markets only costs a dollar and fifty cents, unless you get a sale where then it's a buck. The equivalent 2 quart (wait sorry, moat orange juice companies changed that, now 59 ounce) container of Orange Juice now costs minimally 3 dollars when on sale, generally 4 or better otherwise. Even if we succumb to lower value juice drinks like ocean spray juice cocktails (30% juice, 40 grams of sugar per serving roughly) or tropicana fruit punches (15% juice and about the same sugar content) we still see prices twice as high as the equivalent 2 liter bittle of soda. Guess what ladies of gentlemen, healthy=expensive. Not everyone is a multimillionaire like michael bloomberg, most of us actually work to get paid (check bloomberg's yearly salary as mayor, guarantee you'll be shocked). If I had a 6figure salary I'd probably be drinking only 100% fruit juice as well, but til I hit the mother lode and make some serious cash, soda is cheaper, and diet soda is sugar free anyway.

You know what's funny? They keep saying "sugary soft drinks", but the average glass of juice has as much sugar as any soda on the market.

Considering that the normal size drink in most fast food establishments is a 22 ounce cup, that's alot of menu re-writes for just one state.

Kung Pow: Enter the Fist

Not really guilty pleasure, since I give no fuck who knows I watch it all the time. I love the movie, and now have a vhs, a dvd, a digital copy, and now a dvr copy of it.

THAT'S A LOT OF COPIES.

It's almost as bad as buying the old wii controllers at launch. The difference here is people probably won't be stockpiling these to sell later.

Nothing will ever beat the original Wii sales in new york though. Generally 6-700 bucks for the console at launch. Little stores paid people to sit online and buy the console so they could resell it later...I know cuz I was asked to do so, lol.

Nintendo...

They're like a pre-op tranny. They just can't figure out which way to go.

1769  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on: September 12, 2012, 07:24:27 PM
Picked this up yesterday. Definitely the prettiest tekken game thus far, but a couple things took hits to allow it. The customization options from 6 took a hit, resulting in a more limited amount of clothing and attachment options so far. Most of it is just the same outfit on different characters. To add insult to injury, the customizable parts of a character have been dumbed down. Now the options consist of head (though hair still has subsets), upper and lower combination, upper body, and lower body. There's also a bunch of attachments which are mostly item move, and some effects and rage aura colors. It's similar to tekken 6 on psp, so if you played that you'll feel somewhat familiar.

Now for the good. EVERYTHING ELSE! Seriously, the entire everything is overhauled from 6. Better designs on characters, better music, better stages, more stages, more characters....everything a person could want in a fighting game has been delivered.  And for us dicked out ps3 users, they added tekken tunes, which allows you to customize music in game, even using your own hdd tuneage for stage music or menu ambiance. Playing castlevania bloodlines while I whupped a dragunov/yoshimitsu was just awesome.

Tekken fans, we got a good one here.

Botulus Rex is an asshole. I swear he was headhunting me the entire time my pickup group fought him.

Decided to start monk as my next backup 99, seeing as monk is beloved by all as the DD of choice in abyssea. Figure if I can find a white mage as my best friend, i can duo essentially anything in abyssea, leading to all of my good friends (at this time, daggerstrike ashton and hathen) having everything and anything they need.
