Yeah, I read this earlier. Kind of a kick in the balls for the ico and shadow of the colussus fanbase. Shame too, I even wanted to try it, and neither of the other titles interested me.

I thought the same thing, believe me. If you're a gamer in any way you must try them. If you don't have a PS3 I can excuse it but that collection is too much of a gem to pass up.
I sat in on a friend playing shadow of the colussus, and I didn't get behind the gameplay. Just came off as a long boss fight. That being said, the story and music are definitely worth noting as amazing. I'd tell people to play it just on that merit alone, but as I always say about the God of War series, it's a game everyone should try, but not my cup of tea.

Just started this mighty horror of an install on my failbox, but I doubt I'll finish it by the end of the night. The hard part is gonna be remembering my passwords.

Edit: Passwords remembered, playonline account li ked with squeenix acct, content id reactivated, and patching the latest version. 6 hours to go...

See you guys tomorrow I guess.

Word of caution, avoid the disney characters in times square, apparently while minnie gives you a hug, mickey goes for a reach around for your wallet. Couple people have been pickpocketed there.

Manhattan.
I meant a more...specific location. I have to drop gear off tomorrow a few blocks away from the javitz center, and monday I'm working a few blocks away from columbia university. Trying to find out if at any point I can properly stalk you.

NYC flight tonight.
Where are you staying?

Parn is mad because I refused to wear subligars on my Elvaan.

(I do enjoy streaking on thf though)

But yeah, I'll resub by the 11th. Got a show to finish doing this week, so my days are all shot anyway ( and by show I mean children's summer camp presentation of peter pan).

Was 20 before I quit, so HA!

I will resub on the 11th, as that will give me 1 month til Tekken Tag 2, which is followed by the ridiculous chain of new games that come out after that, officially making me broke.

I do want to ask before I sub, do you guys intend to jump over to guild wars 2 in a couple weeks, dropping XI like a fat suck of monkey turds?

Quick edit: Ashton, didn't you say something about coming to Nyc this week?
2004  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XI - Journal! on: August 08, 2012, 09:13:38 PM
Well, I was hitting the level cap well before each new cap was released, so my confusion is merited.

Speaking of merits, I think my character was sitting on the full 20 merit points before I quit too.

Uh, I though you could only unlock them at each plateau? Like the 90 limit would unlock only after htting 85, and so on?

I don't drink coffee, but I'd buy something there just to pay them back for having the guts to make a joke that most of the public won't get. :)
Including me. Care to explain it?
Someone doesn't get the laws of equivalent exchange, hurr hurr.

Edit: I just came up with another one.
I wonder if that coffee has been passed down for generations in the Armstrong Family?

Well, in the spirit of all things Resident Evil, the new RE movie hits next month, september 14th.

NOW THAT'S HOW YOU PORTRAY ADA FUCKING WONG!
Also, Sienna Guillory is so hot, even if she looks weird as Jill Valentine.

First time I beat Emerald Weapon in VII. Sort of a highlight in my RPG career, seeing as I was 11 or 12. It doesn't count for beans now, I can beat most of the final fantasies in 2 weeks if I have the free time and motivation.

The ugly side of this coin was that ffxii was the ONLY final fantasy I walked away from midway. Couldn't finish it, game sucked SSSOOO much.

Edit: I realize I didn't mention how these were sort of important, though I have mentioned my FFXII dislike before. Emerald weapon was the first super boss I ever defeated. It gave me that oomph to do it in other games like chrono cross, other ff titles, and pretty much all rpgs in general. It became my ultima weapon of sorts, I could use it to beat everything. The ffxii thing...it's the first RPG I couldn't finish due to straight dislike...and the only rpg I never intend to complete.

Obviously Claire is the villian of the title. Steve is in fact Piers in disguise.

I remember your maat fight, it gave me ideas on how to approach maat on my drk. Still dumbfounded by how many people complain about how hard it was for them on drk, he barely hurt me, think he hit me a total of three times.
