Spider Man's catch phrase wasn't "With great power, comes responsibility." but some variation on the phrase "Your friendly neighborhood Spider Man.".

But yeah, I never really liked Macguire's Spider Man that much. Way too doormat-ish even for Peter Parker and his Spider Man was either too bland or too dramatic.
Catchphrase wasn't the right word, but it's understood that "With great power comes great responsibilty" is a staple line and idea in the spidey-verse.

Tobey Maguire makes school children plays seem like broadway productions compared to his stuff.

Edit: @Dice most of the people in the movie outside of Mark Wahlberg have worked with Mcfarlane before, INCLUDING Ryan Reynolds, but a big kicker that I don't think many realized is the coworker alongside Wahlberg and Patrick Warburton (Joe Swanson in show) that wasn't the hot chick (iirc wasn't she Lauren Conrad?) was Mike Henry...doing the voice of the not quite american american dude. I was just waiting for the mention of a discotheque and I would have pee'd myself. Really pissed Lori Alan didn't make an appearance....at least to my knowledge. I know she left Family Guy and all, but she was a big part of the first few seasons.

I still can't get over the fart gag. If I start imagining it, I giggle like a schoolgirl.

Double edit: I fudged it, that wasn't Mike Henry, and what's worse...I can't figure out who it was...I suck. He was the southern news reporter on one of the tvs. Also, that's like the tenth time I mixed up Lauren Conrad with Laura Vandervoort, whoops.

Out of these 3 which one would you recommend playing first? Abyss, graces F, or vesperia.
If you intend to play all three, I'd play them in order of release, since abyss has less features and may feel stiff after graces f or vesperia.

Fucking ruined my jail time in dragon's dogma. Got arrested in game, shit glitched and the guard wouldn't come by so I had to sit there for like an hour almost waiting, and you guys weren't here to help me cope.

...you weren't there...when I needed you most.

Saw Spider Man on release day, was fairly pleased. Andrew Garfield was definitely better than Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, but it still feels....off. Parker is a bit of a smart ass, neither of these guys play off the smart ass role so well. Also, what's with the skate board? Cool sure, but a whole scene where he just tricks around some abandoned shed while he plays with his powers? Felt weird, and this movie was definitely long enough already without adding an unnecessary albeit cool looking scene. Also, they never said his big catchphrase (great power, great yada yada) directly in the movie. Sort of a let down in a way, though they did state the idea at least. Plus, Martin Sheen needed more screen time. Fucking Illusive Man ftw!

On the posistive end of things , EMMA FUCKING STONE I love her and want to buy her a fucking pony. She was awesome, and god I will hate the sequel where she gets murdered and stuffed in a fridge. Rhys Ifans as Kurt Connors was strange at first, since he always plays a weird fuck, but he pulled Connors off well. Reminded me of Alfred Molina and his Dr. Octopus, evil and tragic at the same time, redeeming at the end. Dennis Leary was Dennis Leary...super douche and it works for him.

I enjoyed the flick, definitely better than Spider Man 1 and 3, maybe not quite as good as 2 story wise. Also, C. Thomas Howell and his cameo...I lul'd.

I'm not saying that the camera isn't accomodating, just new and strange at first. Once you adjust to it, which will probably be before you finish the kids arc, it feels much better. Still hate holding up to move towards enemies though...

As far as xillia 2 is concerned, it's in development, therefore not even a concern of anyones in the west yet. Xillia is done and has been out for like a year and change...yet we won't get it here for at LEAST six months yet, being that it's only scheduled for 2013, no other release data. I really don't think 6 months is needed to translate the game and and record voice acting...especially if namco is trying to make money on it. Odds are they are going to re-release it worldwide with extra content similarly to Graces F. Maybe not the entire extra storyline, but I'd bet on some new moves and skits, maybe a bonus dungeon, and some extra skits here and there, similarly to vesperia on ps3. I could be wrong, but kevadu bet on xillia being translated, I'm betting it gets some extra meat. Course, I don't have 100 bucks to bet though...
2005  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Tales of PlayStation(s) revealed on: July 07, 2012, 12:19:06 PM
Everything is skippable, but the skits are actually funny for the most part in graces f. The actual story is a bit....lame, even by Tales standards. Gameplay is solid, easy to grasp, though if you played all the other Tales games, the change to an overhead camera and the battle controls do throw you off for a bit. Still, out of all the tales titles I've played, this is probably my favorite in terms of characters and character relations. Maybe not vesperia, but it definitely beats symphonia and is slightly better than the abyss in my opinion.

Eagerly awaiting Xillia now, though hopefully the reason it's going to take at least another 6 months is because they're going to toss some extra content in...cuz as of now, it sounds a lot less impressive in scope then graces f, which had a shitton of content.

So on Tuesday, I gave my boss my two weeks notice.  And he told me to leave ASAP lol.  I get paid for those two weeks but I don't need to deal with him or work.  So I'm gonna have fun till I start my new job lol
Me thinks you should come to work one more day after eating a serious bean and cheese burrito or a sack of white castle burgers and just drop the biggest deuce you can in his bathroom...and then not flush.

Link's skill with a sword is second only to his ability to rhyme (and being that for almost 10 years he could only slash in 4 directions, hold his sword straight, and then spin in a circle, it's probably fair to say both aren't so impressive).

I think it's 360 only, and I am superpissed that I bought dogma too late for the download. My code was only good til may 31st, so I missed out.

I just woke up when I had written that. My typing left something to be desired...
2010  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Dragon's Dogma on: July 05, 2012, 12:17:51 PM
There are ogres in the game >_>

I see whete you're going though and agree somewhat. I like the monsters they have, but more is always better. It's also boring to see recycled animations between monster attacks. The golem doing the same swings as an unarmed cyclops is dull. I'm not complaining though, the game is still entertaining, even if the story and voice acting is obviously D grade.

The only fucki.g thing that really pisses me off is the lack of an option to shut your fucking pawns up. If I hear about how the king could commission some new fucking roads one more time, I may throw my pawn off the aide of a cliff....again.
