for those that like adult swim randomness, check out Eagleheart. Chris Elliot's spoof on a Walker Texas Ranger thing. Absolutely awesome.
It's sort of hit or miss for me. I think Chris Elliot is awesome and all, but sometimes it's a little boring. Though I will say outright I love the red headed chick.

I didn't do this, but a friend showed me how, in Symphony of the Night, if you stand at a particular spot on a particular ledge with the sword familiar, no enemies will hit you but the sword familiar will hit them.  The guy left SOTN all all day like this and when he came back, his sword familiar was maxed out.
I used to do that with a turbo pad and a crissagraem. It's in the first hallway where all the zombies spawn in the regular castle. Sword, demon, and bat familiars will work fine toi if you have no turbo pad...ghost familiar is a bit lame and slow. You only get 1 exp per kill, but it's a great way to max out familiars. Course, only the sword familiar really benefits from max level, as it becomes an equipable sword whose power corresponds to its level.

Breath of Fire 3: I grinded my way up to super duper stats and 1 shot the Archmage for 2500~ damage. First, Ryu used Celerity, and everyone else defended. Archmage cast Blizzard, Rei died but soul gemmed back. On Ryu's ex turn, in attack formation btw with him on point, I used Bonebreak. Dead. Holy Avenger and a Soul Gem, wheee.

FFVII: I'll always remember the boss of Cosmo Canyon's hp...because I start the fight off by throwing an x-potion at him and dealing 5500 damage, effectively ending the fight in one maneuver, lolol.

Skies of Arcadia: Ramirez fight, with Vyse at max strength and best weapon. Technically took 3 turns, but only 2 attacks. Double Pirates Wrath, capped damage both hits. I also did this in the second and third Piastol fights on the gamecube version, thought strength wasn't capped. Quick hint, Drachma and Spirit Charge are your friends for speed kills.

FFVI: Vanish-Doom/X-Zone...Have fun on the non-gba versions. Otherwise, genji glove+offering for destructive purposes. Dual wield atma weapons with high hp for lulz as well.

Lufia 2 Rise of the Sinistrals: Not really a wicked beatdown, but I beat Gades on a secondary playtbrough during the first encounter for his AWESOME sword. I don't recall how, pretty sure it was a fluke, but idf, Gades Sword pwns.

I have more, just can't think of them yet.

Word of warning, Legaia is brutally hard and one of the very few games where you have constant money problems. Oh, and it also has random encounter monsters that permanently lower your stats. Its a great game, but don't expect the regular jRPG cakewalk.
Which Legaia, cuz if you mean the first....I must call shenanigans. LoL isn't difficult by any standards.

Korra was amazing til the end. Definitely the best episode of the season. My only gripe....

Code:
Why did they decided to end the season on such a quiet note? Everything is good in the world now, no immediate threat to combat next season. I would have liked it if Aang guided her to a way to restore her bending, but to just give it back? Seems a bit underwhelming. And now poor Asami, she just kicked her father's ass, and now her boyfriend is cheating on her? And what the hell, they introduce Aang's second son by putting him on a ship in the distance and shouting yeehaw, don't even see his face. I wanna see Bhumi damnit. Now I gotta wait til september or something. Grrr...
.

Mass effect 1: You kill a Reaper.

Mass Effect 2: You kill a bunch of Reapers.

Mass Effect 3:
Code:
You are the Reapers.

I'm going to make one for the ff series...you'll see.

Mystic Knight sounds promising. Here's hoping they are the overpowered damage dealers they were in ffv.

Wait fuck, why do I care. No ffxi, bad, get out of my mind!

The difficulty also makes your characters more sucky, don't forget that. Still, better to play on hard, more to do.

Get some like morbidly obese people that are constantly having heart attacks to just lounge around the gym so you can be all THIS IS YOU IN TEN YEARS to the fat-but-not-QUITE-that-bad people. That'll motivate them.
Hell thay would motivate me....right to the plastic surgeon for some liposuction.

I'm surprised it took 6 months for them to send it to collections, seeing as how hastily they endeavored to fix the error...

Hopefully, you do not come down with any medical emergency in the next few years, they should have it adjusted by then...

Seriously though, I hope you get it resolved. As one of the many people without insurance, I can safely tell you that accidents do in fact happen...but broken bones come out of fucking no where.

My dad grew up hardscrabbled on the chicago's southside in the 50s. he was a tough kid and a bad one at that. my brother was a jock kind of kid and mr. popular. i'm not the black sheep or anything but didn't really fit the mold from them. they taught me to win people over and to watch your mouth and actions. In general I say I talked or smarted my way out of fights/bullies. There was only a few times in school when I resorted to violence. My favorite was this one time a kid (locker was right next to mine) was making fun of me. I snapped, grabbed his head and slammed it in the locker a few times. He left me alone after that. I know that sounds bad but he was a chubby kid that had height and weight on me. I didn't really hurt him, just stunned him and set him straight.

The only other act of violence was this one time we're all waking to a bar, already drunk, and this one guy I could not stand insulted my +1. I turned around and started chocking him. I said something like "don't talk to her or me or about her ever again" In the crowd was a future +1 of mine and she maintains that's one of the most hilarious / best things she's witnessed.

Sometimes a bit of violence feels nice.
I see you've the heart of a chivalrous man too, Mr Yoda.

Wild Arms and BoF are very different styles of game and story. BoF is personally my preferred title, but Wild Arms 2 is definitely right next to it. If I were to put them in order, it'd be BoF3, WA2, BoF4, and WA1. You can't go wrong with any of them, though, and I believe all 4 are available on psn as digital downloads.

I realize that this topic is one of those topics where my opinion is going to be offensive, no matter how I sugarcoat it. I don't want to offend anyone, but it's going to happen if I defend my ideas. Instead, I opt to bow out and accept any and all criticizms that will be throw at me for being a bitch.
2010  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Education Today on: June 22, 2012, 07:20:38 PM
I don't think anyone here was ever labeled "the big kid". My parents pleaded with me not to fight bullies. They were always afraid of what I would do or what lawsuit I would get for extensive injuries. Seriously, until I was in 7th grade, I was told never to fight back. Ignore them, walk away, tell a teacher, but never fight back. I seriously think both my parents feared I'd kill someone. Bullies love nothing more than a target who gets angry but does nothing, and that's exactly what I did most of the time. When I popped, the teasing and bullying generally stopped for a couple weeks. Course, then I'd have to see the stupid counselor to better "control" my anger issues.

Am I the only one who grew up like this?
