I'd like to be the first person to simply punch him in the face. Civil war because Obama is re-elected? What, are you a fucking lunatic or something, or do you just want all that unused militia budget to go in your pocket? I hope someone kicks him square in the balls.
2012  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Persona 4 G: Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena (PS3/360/Arc) Announced (2012,ASW/Atlus) on: August 23, 2012, 09:26:44 AM
Guilty Gear with persona themes.

Don't like guilty gear.
FUCKING HATE Persona 3, and probably wouldn't enjoy 4 all that much.

Knowing this, still played it this past weekend. Haven't spoken about it because I couldn't process how to say what I disliked exactly. I had fun playing it because I sat there and made fun of it, but I can do that with any game really. I don't like the fighting system, especially that auto combo shit, it's lame. I hate when fighting games give characters varying levels of health and damage resistance, it's so fucking stupid. As I didn't like persona's music in general (haet j-pop), don't like most of the music. The only thing I did like were the character portraits, because Mitsuru, Yukiko, and Rise are just anime gorgeous, and Teddy is hillarious looking. If I walked into this game never having touched persona or guilty gear, I still would have greatly disliked it on its fighting system alone. This game was seriously made for persona fans only, and I cannot see serious fighting game players jumping on board, however most serious fighting gamers are anime fans, so they'll probably flock to it.

It wasn't for those reasons I mentioned the camera. It's for other reasons. Basically, it's just about peace of mind. Check in, see how he's doing, make sure he got home from school okay. I thought your son was younger originally, too, so that may have attributed to my recommendation. Personally, I'd recommen an item like this to everyone who's out of their house for long periods of time everyday, and moreso when someone else is there like a housekeeper. It's not a friendly world we live in, people get robbed and fucked with all the time. I just tossed it out there for your own peace of mind grim, not to make you one of "those" parents.

Elsewhere in the world, I'm discovering how a lack of sleep can physically sicken you. 3 days without adequate or comfortable sleep due to some extreme back pain has begun to take its toll on me. I spent most of today wanting to throw up, or asleep in an office chair. Walked to the train station to get a metrocard for my busride home and between my nausea and my back screaming, I nearly walked into a speeding cab. I'm generally pretty good about dealing with pain, but this was intense. No pain medication to take either, besides a bunch ibuprofin which I'm beginning to worry I've developed a resistance to due to overuse when I broke my ankle.

Oh yeah, I'm at work doing all this too.

Grim, I was going to write a long winded post about how what you're doing is mildly insane, but I wrote something that somehow switched me a bit. So I'll ask this instead.

Have you thought about putting a webcam up at home to keep an eye on your son when you're working? You obviously have time to check up on rpgfan when you're at work, so you have some access to pc fun. If you're interested, check out archerfish. They make ip cameras and have a website that lets you check up on said camera through smartphones, pcs, and most other internet capable devices. I've installed a couple and can tell you they work decently, though you should have at least a broadband connection, and preferably not dsl. At least this way you can check up on him while he's home without annoying him or needing an elaborate setup and camera system. Look into it if you want some reassurance, since the few hours he's home alone are probably your most apprehensive. If you want to be cheaper and have a ps3 and psp, you could leave your ps3 idle for remote play and use the ps3 camera as a semi security camera. Granted, this means bringing your psp to work with you, and only your or your wife can view him at any one time, and it relies on the ps3 being on and connected to the web at all times, as well as having a wifi connection at work you can use. The archerfish camera only requires installation hardware and access to your router, though they make an expensive wifi version too (stay wired).

I hope you can use my suggestion, and that if you had any nervous ticks about your plan still that this may put you at ease.

The one he said at the beginning about the little guy running alongside him, I used to do that all the time while thinking of the mute city theme, only my buddy was megaman or zero, depending on how I felt.

Does it sort of count that after not playing it for a year and change, I went back to ffxi and remember most of the areas and locations.
2017  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XI - Journal! on: August 20, 2012, 10:07:21 PM
Why are the ffxi players so fucking stupid? Daggerstrike's been playing for what, 2 months? He's fucking smarter than most of the relic toting morons playing this game. I'm dumbfounded.

Not a fan of game informer, but always appreciate career advancement. Congratulations, and maybe you'll get me back into reading game informer.
2020  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Next 10 years of Mega Man being discussed by "Top Men" at Capcom on: August 16, 2012, 02:12:39 PM
At least Mega Man is getting something. Metroid didn't get anything for it's anniversary last year...

We got a year where we weren't reminded that MOM exists. And if that wasn't the best anniversary present, then I don't know what is.
Samus bikini calendar.

...I'll give capcom 60 bucks not to release this.
2022  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Recently watched Episodes of TELEVISION BOX offerings! on: August 15, 2012, 03:08:40 PM
Started watching the newsroom, mostly because I am entranced by Olivia Munn, but also because Jeff Daniels and Emily Mortimerr are solid actors. The show is pretty interesting, given that it's basically a retelling of news events from the past. The Osama Bin Laden one, for example, was fairly entertaining and very interesting in regards to how a news center might act regarding a moment like that ( plus Jeff Daniels character was high out of his mind, hilarious). It's worth looking into a bit, even if it means turning a game off an hour early.

Also of note, started watching Alphas again. David Straitharn is a terrific actor, always sells his role like a champ, but the adhd kid, charcter's name is Gary Bell, makes that show. I laugh at his antics because they're funny, but he is so much more. Also, the girl who plays Nina is hot...she can push me all she likes.

Lemme rephrase my statement.

Resolution's damage sucks as of level 3. It's on par with guillotine now, though my scythe is considerably stronger than my gs. Not saying you did, but several other people (we'll call them morons) said resolution is the best gs skill ever, even at level 1. These "morons" are quite brainless, the damage is trash. These same morons also cut ass on me for having on perle armor, meanwhile they're using level 75 equipment with inferior stats because it took 5 years of begging their LS to give them lot rights to it.

This all being said, Resolution is the sexiest WS ever.
2024  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XI - Journal! on: August 14, 2012, 03:13:06 AM
99 achieved, level 2 Resolution great sword weaponskill unlocked. Honestly less impressive than I was told, but it was only level 1 for the duration of my use. Barely broke 800 per use, 2k on a good 300%, but that's general guillotine damage outside of abyssea. Hopefully in another 75 merit points I'll have a better outlook on it.

You know, I did put in the "or something" for a reason. Generally, the person familiar with the territory makes suggestions, so saying "how about we go to Brady's on 7th" doesn't really explain anything. Maybe Ashton is a fan of cheesy locations and franchise- saturated bar and restaurants?
Hey, never said I wouldn't go out for a drink, jsut said I wouldn't drink until I have surprise buttsex with someone and not remember it the next morning.

Also, TGI's is weaksauce. We're going to Hard Rock Cafe.
Glad I worked all week. Monday I am COMPLETELY free, so if you got a time frame, I can rolk up for a couple hours.
