2086  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: EA in a Nutshell on: May 28, 2012, 10:24:09 PM
The only reason I hated EA way back when was because of how they treated their employees. They got better.

I'm not sure about the current situation, but Activision seems to be far and away the worst in that respect right now.
Activision will always be my most hated company ever. Fuck them horribly.

It's actually surprising how little the hate train has been following them as of late. Between the remaking of tony hawk (wow lame), black ops 2 ( technically call of duty what, 8 now), and that smug jackass still at the reigns, therr's always reason to hate on activision.

This can be said for most of the major game companies as of late. Make a half assed numerical sequel to a game that wasn't terrible, advertise shiny new something, and spend all the development money on making everyone know about it.

Video was well made and pretty accurate. Shame I still like Mass Effect 3.

It's funny only because the human mind can process each of those words simply due to the first and last letter. If I were to wrtie a sentnece by revresing a few letetrs in each of the wodrs, eveyrone cuold still genreally read it fine.

Are you drunk?

Don't type while drunk, I can't make out a thing you are saying.
I knee this would be a reply, but I lul'd anyway.

Thundercats was better this week, though it's nowhere near the level of young justice or legend of korra. It's sort of hard to create a new story based on an old story that really didn't have that much to offer to begin with. I loved the old thundercats, but lets face it, Lion-o found a problem, one of the 4-5 other cats showed him the light, Lion-o solved the problem. At least in this new series, characters are developed, but yeah...

Young Justice was pretty girl power this episode. Ms Martian is psychotic, I think I'm in love.

Gonna watch Korra tomorrow, was busy today, and DVR is ballin.

Edit: Damnit, korra, spider man, and avengers were all reruns. Lamesauce.

Watched more episodes of Ultimate Spider Man. They cancelled Spectacular for this? It's pretty terrible.
I admit, it was funny at first, but between the five minute long commercials and the re-explaining of everything in each episode...I understand it's for kids, but avengers at least makes progress per episode. Spider man is still telling everyone that they have to work together, following the next episode with him and the rest of his group trying to outdo one another again. I'll keep watching because dvr is wintastic, but I'm not running to the tv at 11 am anymore.

Pretty much all of the best selling "Tales" series has an anime to go with it. Phantasia, abyss, symphonia, vesperia...may be more, idk offhand. Though not an rpg, Devip May cry has an anime as well, though it is its own story. Not much else I can name offhand.

Man, all the money I'm pulling in and I still haven't bought a new game. I think I may havr to cave and pick this up. It looks pretty supercool, even if I can't make Ryu (BoF, not SF) in it.

Was Sir Ben Kingsley's appearance well done or silly? Kingsley is an awesome actor, but sometimes....he just gets in on the wrong flicks...thunderbirds anyone?

Weekly toon update a go-go

Thundercats was boring. Regretted saving it for the afternoon. It was about kit and kat saving a bunch of pickpockets and screwing over the raccoon from 3 or 4 weeks ago. Bleh, next please.

Young Justice is still going strong. Red Arrow looks more like his comic counterpart, a drug addicted fiend. He's losing his composure cuz he's a clone of the original and feels he HAS to find the real Roy Harper. Reminds me of tales of the abyss since I am currently playing it too. Kid Flash and Artemis made an appearance...they are dating, how cute <3. They also have apparently quit being heroes it seems. The major story point was the revival of the Justice League's big inaugural villian. Superboy and Blue beetle fought him, but NEW BIG BADGUY dropped him before the good guys could fix it. Loving this show right now.

Legend of Korra...96% sure Asami is actually Amon. If you didn't watch it today, go do it. I won't say anything more.

I am humbly requesting that the first person to post about The Dictator elaborate on at least one good joke in the movie so I can decide whether I will see this tonight or not.

Also, watching Grind. Skateboarding flick from 2003, during the height of tony hawk fame and jackass notoriety. Was pretty good, especially with Jennifer Morrison being a blonde skater chick. I do laugh at how skateboarding has kind if died again though...
