2086  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on: September 12, 2012, 07:24:27 PM
Picked this up yesterday. Definitely the prettiest tekken game thus far, but a couple things took hits to allow it. The customization options from 6 took a hit, resulting in a more limited amount of clothing and attachment options so far. Most of it is just the same outfit on different characters. To add insult to injury, the customizable parts of a character have been dumbed down. Now the options consist of head (though hair still has subsets), upper and lower combination, upper body, and lower body. There's also a bunch of attachments which are mostly item move, and some effects and rage aura colors. It's similar to tekken 6 on psp, so if you played that you'll feel somewhat familiar.

Now for the good. EVERYTHING ELSE! Seriously, the entire everything is overhauled from 6. Better designs on characters, better music, better stages, more stages, more characters....everything a person could want in a fighting game has been delivered.  And for us dicked out ps3 users, they added tekken tunes, which allows you to customize music in game, even using your own hdd tuneage for stage music or menu ambiance. Playing castlevania bloodlines while I whupped a dragunov/yoshimitsu was just awesome.

Tekken fans, we got a good one here.

Botulus Rex is an asshole. I swear he was headhunting me the entire time my pickup group fought him.

Decided to start monk as my next backup 99, seeing as monk is beloved by all as the DD of choice in abyssea. Figure if I can find a white mage as my best friend, i can duo essentially anything in abyssea, leading to all of my good friends (at this time, daggerstrike ashton and hathen) having everything and anything they need.

MMX sounds pretty accurate, the bottom right panel has the third sigma stage boss.

God this game looks so stupid.

Worked at the madonna concert at yankee stadium last night. Broke my finger and twisted my knee thanks to stupid coworkers. Not a hapoy Agent D. right now.

Shouldn't this be in multiplayer rpgs?

Preorder was placed a week ago for the failbox. Fairly excited for this.

I have a theory that if you compliment a woman on her shoes, she'll be much more interested in talking to you.

Heresay so far, so I feel I should adjust the statement. I've read through various (that means non-legit) channels that it's more than likely not gonna be Hayter voicing Snake this time around...at least entirely. Considering he's looking more like the Big Boss we know and killed twice prior, I would almost prefer the disassociation between them now. Hayter has always been Snake, but this time around he IS Big Boss, there is no more Snake for now. After ditching the bandana in Peace Walker, he accepted his title of Big Boss. I think he should be voiced by someone else to define his character better, to flesh out the differences between Snake and Big Boss. Big Boss is a leader, a champion of his followers, a charismatic and adored person. Snake is a loner, more cold and calculating, and definitely not a person to put himself in front of an army but would be the one to use the army to get behind his target and accomplish his task. They have their similarities, but also their differences. Snake eater and peace walker makes you feel like they're the same person just in different timelines.

God, no other game has my attention like this series.

Why can't they just make it as a cgi movie? Pixar makes a killing doing it with kids stuff, why can't Columbia do it? The games are already 60% CGI anyway.

I think Parn's just mad cuz they haven't mentioned anything about Snow yet. After all, that was his "favorite" character.

A friend of mine has brought to my attention that this is supposed to be taking place like 10 days after peace walker.

....What the hell, did Snake forget to die his hair and come down with a serious throat infection? Hayter isn't voicing this Snake. It's gonna be the dude who voiced Big Boss in MGS4.

That's an amazing Lee Chaolan impression, ashton.

I was playing grinsia, which wasn't too bad for a while. Just sort of stopped after a while. Inotia was pretty good too.
