Jihl was hot, she deserved a more anime style gruelingly painful death for being such a cunt muffin though. I wanted something like her head popping or impaled through the chest, maybe some silent hill style skin rippage.

She was a fucking cunt muffin.

Calling it now - Matrix = VampiricDragon.
I'm getting that same vibe...good call.

I'll agree to the ds lite, especially since it'll play your gba titles just fine. Skip the dsi, waste of time, though 3ds is "starting" to look playable (no megaman legends 3 means no purchase for me yet) and it'll do everything the dsi did and then some. As for games, there are very few bad ds rpgs. Honestly, take a benjamin with you and hit the ds used section at lamestop, you'll have plenty of good, fun titles for under 10 bucks to play with. Hell it'll probably keep you busy til the end of the spring if you game as hard as I do. Couple recommendations i'd shoot you are Lufia Curse of the sinistrals, Castlevania "every ds version available", Chrono Trigger if you haven't played any of em yet, same for ffiv, maybe ffiii though I haven't yet, dragon quest  iv v vi and ix for some old school awesomeness, and DEFINITELY MOST DEFINITELY Radiant Historia. Hell fuck every other game on my list and get Radiant Historia first, best ds game I probably played in 5 years. Well worth the time invested.

Gba wise, I can't recommend as much, maybe the ff remakes as you find em, and any zelda games (before they all went to touchscreen hell). I really hate the idea of having to tell you this, but mother 3 WHICH ISN'T AVAILABLE IN THE U.S. BUT MOTHER FUCKING SHOULD BE!!!!!!!!!!! is a great gba game.

Damn dude, you shoulda been on a handheld way long ago, you missed out on a lot of good times.

So I'm in union square in nyc right now for a meeting, ran over to a lamestop just to satisfy my curiosity and asked if they had the ce of mass effect 3. Assholes have a ps3 version sitting right there. Meanwhile, every failstop I called had none and wouldn't rake any more preorders.

Fuck shitatop.

I approve of EDI's newer sense of humor. The recycle oxygen joke(and shepard's face afterwards) were pretty funny.

that was fun
If this isn't a troll, you sir must have a bondage outfit on right now and a mistress with a large leather paddle going at your backside as we speak.

None, because all of them end up complete cash-in crap.

The quizzes were the worst part of the game. Who puts a fucking random chance question in a quiz? Pick a hand my ass!

I think I beat Sazh's dlc episode. Gotta say, he looks to be a sick synergist...but I already buttraped the game. Chronobind sucks, took too long to get coins that I don't need for stuff I already had. Poker was fucking lame, anytime you went all in on a good hand, the computer would pull a goddamn flush out of its ass. Or, it would fold at the start. I had a pair of aces and decided to play it out instead of scaring a fold out. Fucking computer calls my bet, i go all in on the turn, and she follows me. Fucking bitch had a lightning bolt 4, and the fucking river was in fact the last of the four fucking cards she needed for her lightning bolt flush. I HAD A PAIR OF ACES, THAT'S A FUCKING SOLID START I CALL BS. Anyways, that match got me like 40 fortune medals alone, netting me a sazh pokemon, lol. Course, I didn't get all of chocolina's choco chicks yet...

Can anyone recommend some add-ons to protect against trackers, scripts, malware etc.? I've been trying out NoScript, but am fed up with having to either unblock stuff all the time or just have pages not work because I'm concerned about a single script. I'm happy to be slightly less protected for slightly less frustration. :P

What do you lot use?
Noscript is the best, you're better off dealing with minor frustration of blocked scripts that you didn't want blocked. I hate to sound like a dick here but your complaint is minor regarding why you don't like noscript. You can set what's blocked and what isn't on your first visit to the site and unblock the scripts you want in use any time, or block anythin your fear in the future. Honestly, buck up and deal with it.

I call gamestop yesterday to check on preorder availability in my area for the CE, which I had checked two days ago and was told yeah sure we got plenty of em available no problem. Turns out they sold out a week and a half ago. I tell the manager what the other person told me and he says she was recently let go for being a useless fuck in less vulgar terms. This further my anger about gamestop being the bane of video games. The guy tried to offer me a preorder on the regular copy to which I said yeah no thanks. I am so tired of this CE bullshit, having to pay an extra 20 bucks just to get access to some other crap that should be in the game. The CE titles are supposed to have collectables, hence collector's edition. Artbook, soundtrack, replicas of in game items. Everyone rushed for this for the dlc being distributed with it, hell I haven't even heard of what is in the CE besides access to in game bullshit. Bioware and gamestop can both go fuck themselves with this trick.

Do I really have to do 100 preemptive strikes in a row to get the "Clock Stopper" achievement/trophy?
Yep, it's terrible. My advice, worry about that last. Get the fragments first so you can unlock the speed up option which doubles the speed of everything. When you do, go to archlytte steppe and switch the weather to rainy, and head over to the area with the huge pond. Save every 10 fights or so to prevent accidents as the battle count does save too ( trust me on this, my controller battery died at battle 86, only lost 6 fights). It's far less rage inducing this way.

The leona lewis song in xiii wasn't terrible. Most of the music in xiii was pretty good still, but xiii-2 is so much betterer.

They forgot the exclusive to capcom segment where mere moments after release, a super enhanced version featuring all dlc, extra options, and free color packs is introduced for 10 bucks less than the regular price.
2385  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XI - Journal! on: March 02, 2012, 05:49:50 PM
That's because its three different teams working on those games. You have 1 working exclusively on current FFXIV content, the major group is working on the FFXIV 2.0 client and then there's the FFXI team. They update the game quite frequently actually in the last 6 months. I haven't played in a couple months but I keep track of it and its pretty cool to see them still trucking away at it. There's usually one major patch a month with a smaller, adjustment patch as well. They're finishing up the Voidwatch content and doing some class revisions, so its not like a MAJOR content update.
They're adding a whole new endgame thing called legion, as well as finishing up voidwatch. For the year and a half I played, major updates added a few items and a new add on if we were lucky. I'd call this a major update. It's been 4 within the last 6 months. That's alot by any game's standards.
