What is best? Daredevil, agent carter, Jessica jones, Gotham, orphan black or something else

Agent Carter is better than the rest of those combined.
You're crazy if you think Agent Carter is better than the worst episode of daredevil...

It's better than The Flash.
Sir, I will fight you outside right now! Winner's show is better!

Battle format: Pogs.

Bring it! I knew I was stubbornly keeping all those Pogs from the early 90s for a reason.

HAHAHA pogs oh my god brings me back...

I will put ALL my Slammers on the line to defend the honor of Agent Carter!  So much better than that Superhero Law & Order generic mess called Daredevil...
Yo, this is getting serious...screw the pogs, I'm pulling out the jacks!

Anyone got the little ball? I lost EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM EVERY TIME.

I watched a lot of the Last Samurai because it's on a lot for whatever reason these days.

What can I say, I enjoyed it.
I say the same thing regarding 47 Ronin.

I haven't seen that one but want to, hopefully it'll be on at some point I did see the Matrix on last night which erm, gave me at least some Keeanu um, something.

Tom Cruise's hair in that movie is flawless.
And Ken Watanabe is a perfect person in general.

Seconding Cruise-sans's amazing flowy hair.
Also seconding Watanabe being perfect.

Anyway, watched Conan the Barbarian which was on, decided to watch again, yeah, still entertains me.
Arnold Schwarzeneggar in a fur loincloth and a big sword...who wouldn't be entertained?

...I am kinda partial to the blonde chick in both of his Conan movies :)
48  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Tom Clancy's The Division on: May 02, 2016, 11:45:09 AM
My favorite Tom Clancy game is Rogue Spear and not much has it changed that over the years... impossible to ignore the attention this game has gotten though.
Yeah, really hard to ignore, since it's almost entirely negative now. Massive has effectively ruined the game entirely with bugs, poor mission and weapon balancing, and basically every mistake destiny made. Also, this doesn't deserve to be categorized as an rpg anymore, it's entirely a third person shooter with semi rpg elements.
I think the category should be shooter mmo, even though you don't see that many people roaming around like most mmo's. I'm really surprised though of how many people hate this game and all of the negative comments. I felt like Ubisoft did a lot better than the creators of Destiny when it was first released. The only thing I can say its that I don't typically play shooter games. In fact this is my second shooter games I played. The first one was Destiny. So things like weapon balance and PvP issues tend to go over my head.
In destiny though, none of the bugs were game breaking, and aside from like 2 or 3 weapons, none of the exploits would make you godly in pvp...aside from the easy atheon hard mode kills for the vex mythoclast. In the division, their glitches carried over to the dark zone, allowing the cheating players serious advantages over the general public. The problem now is that even with the temporary bans in place for 2 weeks, the cheaters and heavy exploiters are packing armor and firepower that make them nigh untouchable in the dark zone, where most of the high end play takes place. Massive also is more on top of patching things that take away from their heavy grind than fix issues that SHOULD be addressed, such as perks not working correctly or weapon balancing being a complete joke (if you don't use an smg you're stupid basically). Furthermore, at least destiny is a shooter claiming to be a shooter at the end of the day, and as such guns are the major focus. The division claims to be an rpg, but they bottleneck you into a dps build for actual effectiveness. A high skillpower build is a joke, as abilities begin to reach damage/buff caps at around 45k skill power, meanwhile firearms and dps has no real cap, nor does health. It's all very misleading and lame from a heavy RPG gamer's point of view.

I will admit, Division month one was much cleaner than destiny, and offered more content...however Destiny took its criticisms and created a better landscape, whereas the division is slapping band aids on its problems and leaving vast amounts of unsatisfied players.

Hit a 525 pound deadlift saturday evening. Definitely my personal best as of now.

Good rep, too, real smooth and no hitching or riding up the leg, just a solid lift.
50  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: The Legend of Zelda Topic (Latest: NX title delayed to '17) on: May 02, 2016, 02:34:30 AM
Correct me if I'm wrong but the Wii U is kind of on target to sell about as many as the gamecube as far as I can tell....
Gamecube sold just under 22 million units worldwide in about 6 years, Wii U is at 12.8 mil as of march. Unless it can sell another 9 million units in 2 years, the cube surpassed it...and given that the NX is slated for next march, I HIGHLY doubt that's likely.

The Wii U is a flop. Not a virtual boy flop, but definitely close on the list.

At some point I will walk along the path, probably while grinding.

There are actually a lot of us in NYC.
Yet here I am, sitting in times square at an adobe office thinking "man, why are none of those cool guys from the rpgfan forums anywhere near me, I'm tired of all these nyc thugs and goons"...

Maybe if the sorceress there would get her dang balloons off your head more people would approach you
Tch, such a prude.

If I was a mod I would ban you all for not discussing haps. Haps are sacred.

Just got back from the gym, guzzled an energy drink ( been experimenting with them lately) and now to finish drizzt's Sojourn.
Which energy drink are you testing?

Might as well throw out a thread-requisite peeve towards Japanese Highschool settings

Ugh, yes. This was cool the first... few times I experienced it when I started playing JRPGs, but the hundreds after that it's just facepalm-worthy. Can we not get even just a college or work setting? Just for a change? No?

Sorry, but people won't know you're trying to rip off Persona unless you've set your game in a Japanese Highschool.

That said, I wouldn't mind a remake, sequel or spiritual successor to Hourai High.
The whole thing with Japanese highschools that makes me wince is...aren't they INCREDIBLY strict? I mean, I get you have rule breaker and all, it's inevitable...but especially in shit like Persona where basically the day to day seems to all happen at school and these kids just do whatever they want between classes...idk,maybe I missed something, but it seems like a real jp highschool wouldn't let any of the shit fly that goes down in these games...

Seriously, I've been in new york public highschool, and even there some of the casual stuff that happens in these games just wouldn't fly. Hanging out in hallways between classes, fighting on the premises with other students, talking back to teachers and security...it's laughable how unrealistic it all is.
