I probably oughta point out that the menu interface on ps3 is a little slower when loading all your gear, just for arguement's sake.

You could attempt to, ya know, not be so generic in your comments. Especially since you're actually aware that you make such generalized comments and almost expect us to take them in such negative ways...

I doubt I'll have much of an interest in talking about FF in general in the future since my interest in Type-0 and XV is not that pronounced. At best I will be sharing any worthwhile news that happen with Type-0 HD and I'll only update the OP in the FFXV thread with any significant trailers that's released.
You and I both know that you're full of it if you think you won't comment on FF related topics anymore.

Oh cyril, you know you wanted to say jacketless milla is the hottest costume in game. You're forgiven for that.

See, this is what's so annoying about the way you discuss this topic.  You keep trying to stick words in people's mouths that they never even came close to saying.  Too Japanese?  Really?  Who said this?  Who said anything like this?  Stop making these strawmen.

...I know nobody said that here. I was talking more in a broad sense in that post, not only to people here.

Remember how I said that my comments about FF get badly interpreted in the tone I want them to get across? Yeah, that's what happened here again.

Thanks for the reminder. I wanna keep on the lookout to see if the PS3 version runs good enough. I'm not paying for online.
I played the beta on ps4 and ps3, aside from visuals and the swapped shoulder buttons (which you can change) the game is identical. I actually will be getting both ps3 and ps4 versions soon, but ps4 first.

Just so you know, you can use the same character between versions.

It's really not funny, you always post in every ff related topic and do the same thing. Argue that everyone is hating on the game for no reason, get defensive that we counter your arguement with reasons why we hate on it, compare us to people on another forum, then usually go emo about how you're gonna leave forever and its for the best and dunno why I bother posting etc etc. I love your MGS and Resident Evil opinions and most of your other game info is fucking awesome. But dear god, FF around you is like a landmine of emo self hate following mounds of defensive rebuttals plus an awkward "I was totally not serious about how serious I was" comment.

Seriously, check your old posts man, it's a constant.

New Details for Resident Evil Revelations 2 were posted yesterday.

On paper it sounds a heck of a lot more exciting that the first one ever did.

Well it looks like Claire is getting over the bad plastic surgery years.  She had some bad trout-lip in the CG film version.  She still looks a bit odd, maybe like an alcoholic teacher....Hm.  Anyways.

Can't wait though, I'm a huge fan of co-op-ing these titles.
Agreed, and the addition of Barry's daughter in a Rebecca-esque backup role seems really cool. An actual medic/support charqcter rather than another gun, it just reeks of possibilities.

Best costume is prime milla's black outfit. Sssoooooo hot.
55  The Rest / General Discussions / The unofficial "recommend me a game" thread. on: September 07, 2014, 08:00:54 PM
Klutz made a comment about it in the haps thread and I thought it was a splendid idea to start one up, seeing as the number of games to players is astonishingly huge. Anyways, yeah, make a request for a type of game, and all of us awesome guys and gals here will make a serious endeavor to help you out. I'd like to request, however, that we keep the replies to suggestion away from reasons why you won't play X game suggested. If you say "I'm looking for an rpg" then you don't have a real idea what kind of rpg you want, hence any suggestion (even a really outlandish one) is fair game. This way we don't get hurt feelings about wasting our time and energy offering people suggestions.

Anyways, request away.

I kind of wish we had a "Recommend me a game" thread, but since we don't I'll ask on here.

Since it is clear that we outside of Asia will never ever get another Phantasy Star Online game, I was wondering if anyone knew of an active MMO that was at least similar. I'm looking for something with very little story, or at least an ignorable one, with hub areas to gather a party for clearing dungeons and other areas without any "quests" per se.

Getting back into the .Hack series has me craving that PSO style of MMO.
PSO2 is in fact scheduled for a western release still....not sure when, but sega says it's gonna happen.

I don't agree, I like Vanille quite a bit more than much of the cast.

See, that's pyschosis for you.
Fix'd.

People had a lot of reasons to dislike XIII. To name a few, the lack of exploration til the last 2 story hours of the game, the terrible charater of Lightning, the lack of any real necessary strategy to play the game (auto mode go) as well as the lack of customizing your a.i. for said auto mode, a lack of any real sidequests til the last 2 hours of the game, Vanille (if you're like me at all,I don't need to explain why)....the list can go on for ages but it devolves to nitpicking. Basically, what has always made FF unique seemed to be missing in XIII, and it hurt a lot of fans. Then, the sequels were just insults (albeit far better games overall) to the fans who were still angry over how bad XIII was. It's sort of like blowing up your favorite restaurant, then being forces to watch an edited video of it being blown up, twice.
59  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Why would I buy a ps4? on: September 07, 2014, 06:37:42 PM
PSN+ 2/10 would not bang. Im not sure that at this point the benefits outweigh the costs for me. Im kind of also a bit set in my ways as far as what genres im willing to dive into so the freebies probably wont do anything other than distract me from the games i already want to get to.

thanks for the perspectives everyone.
You know, a large number of rpgs have been given rather large discounts on psn+, right?

Also, i'm almost 30 and still willing to jump into all sort of new games for the first time. This isn't 1995, gaming is pretty commonplace and limiting your own experiences is just a detriment to yourself. Expand your mind, sir.

The FF hate has always baffled me a bit. I've yet to play a main FF title I didn't like (to varying degrees).  I even liked XIII enough to run through it 3 times.  Does this make me a fanboy?
No, just clinically depressed and in need of counseling...

I kid.

But I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the FF series. I've played every title at launch since VII up til XIII, and have (with the exception of XII) have beaten them all. However, I'm a realist in regards to the fact that the quality of the games have diminished greatly, I know that FF has become a cult series again, being for fans only. I just don't get why some people can't accept that some people find the games very poorly done as of late...
