I like this game a lot. Idk why, there are little things I hate about it, like the voice acting, the stupid one task at a time thing,THAT INFURIATING CAMERA DEAR GOD KILL IT WITH FIRE...but the gameplay is so familiar yet new. It's like a combo of kingdom hearts and an action game like devil may cry. The music (albeit repetitive) is very Final Fantasy-y. Considering the game was a psp title the characters are amazing looking (again,<3 Rem) as are the enemy designs. I seriously wish this had been a focused title instead of being the offshoot it is, it probabaly would have gotten much better treatment, but as it stands this game beats the XIII series by leaps and bounds in my opinion and is probably my best liked game since at least X-2 ( I really enjoyed X-2 as a game, even if it was Super Barbie dress up adventure).

I dunno if XI is ready to end yet...but I HIGHLY doubt they're preparing a new expansion. Add-on scenario, MAYBE. Shift to F2P, probabaly. Silly japan-only live event...I'd put money on it.

I seriously have to wonder what SE was thinking when they left that camera the way they did. I mean I remember reading a story about how MGSIV and its FPV camera had to be adjusted for eastern audiences because they got motion sickness from it...this camera swing and the velocity it spins at is nauseating. I feel like I'd have an easier time trying to fight one of those g force machines astronauts use for training.

Seriously, Rem is my new Milla. I want to pick her up and carry her forever. I'd fight a behemoth for her.

^Good luck mining for Gold in a shit-mine, Nintendo. I'll be on the ship when you're ready to come back to Earth. (Just make sure you clean off the failure first, m'kay?)
You know damn well that they're gonna make a massice killing in the mobile games department. If nintendo made a smartdevice like a 2ds tablet, EVERYONE who bought a wii like a moron will buy it. Nintendo is king of changing the way the game is played.

But god GOD I hope it flops miserably. Stay console, damnit, be smart.

Anyone else find the voice acting...really...idk...horrible? I mean, I like the combat system and music, but the voice acting is just WOWbad.

I have a crush on Rem, though. She's too cute for her own good.

I beat my dad, hah!

You bench shitloads of iron. I don't get the impression your dad can do that. I'm just saying there might be better personality victories to focus on here.

Anyway, adjusted tax thing came. I only owe like 800ish, which is what I expected. Imma pop that in the mail tonight, along with my other city tax form. I should have envelopes somewhere.
...I actually started weightlifting hard like I do because he used to when he was younger...

The IQ test thing weighs your demographic info and time took. If you answer incorrectly but quickly, you'll get a higher score.

If you indicate you're older than someone else, but you both give the same answers and take the same amount of time, the older person will score lower.

Like seriously I got a score of 191 and intentionally gave wrong answers for the last half of the questions. The score was high because I answered it in under a minute.
I figured it was a combination of age, duration, and accuracy. Still, you aren't taking this away from me. I beat my dad, hah!

Quick edit: I just ran the test as fast as I could effectively do, accidentally skipped 1 question and got 1 wrong, but I set my age as 90 somethingish (1920s). Scored a 162...yeah age played a huge factor. I ran the test in under 2 minutes (phone loading stuff).

Mesh, did you only take it once?

So I'm 29 years old, gonna be 30 in a few months, and I have never taken an IQ test before. In a moment of boredom, I googled IQ test and went to the first site I saw,

www.free-iqtest.net

Now I know, probabaly entirely unreliable shit, but again, boredom. I did the test, 20 questions, about 15 minutes to do the whole thing (a few of them really had me thinking).

I scored a 146.

Yeah yeah, reliablity, free iq test, probably a huge joke. I had my dad take the same test, and after scoffing at it and saying it would be a waste of time, he finally caved and started it. About 10 minutes in, I asked what question he was on, to which he replied halfway through. Few minutes later he was just sitting there looking at his phone and I said "Soooo?", where he got annoyed and said shut up. Couple more minutes later he tells me he scored a 134, and then got upset because I was pestering him the whole time...

That moment in life when you best your parents....the smugness was unbelievable. I don't give a flying fuck that I got a genius rating, I'm just stoked that I beat my dad.

My little sister also beat him by a point .

I'm just gonna go ahead and throw this out for humor's sake.

(In reference to the topic title) ...said no one, ever.

In reality though I honestly much prefer to watch a movie of a story than read it. I have a very active imagination for a 29 year old, so I don't really care to nurture it further. I already fantasize way too heavily about myself in the games I play and the shows I watch ( I always love thinking about how if I had been around in an episode of the flash to save the flash himself or any number of cartoons and animes for a similar circumstance). Furthermore, watching something like Harry Potter or Divergent (great movie, really surprised actually) allows for less interruptions, first because it's shorter to watch a 2 hour movie over reading a 200+ page book and second because some interruptions are now actually engrossed in the film as well. Sure I'm now forced to live the story through someone else's vision, but hey, some people have good vision.

I'm pretty sure you mean India but regardless, who really wins in that scenario?

No, we actually shut down our India office and let everyone go because India is too costly now.
We're dealing with 3rd world country freelancers now to replace them.
That's why whenever I call an AT&T customer cervice center or similar call center, I ask to speak to Americans when the call is sent overseas. Fuck this outsourcing bullshit.

Office-wide strike....

Office closes and all work sent to Mexico.
I'm pretty sure you mean India but regardless, who really wins in that scenario?

Today, for the second time in less than a year, I saw a coworker break down and start crying due to stress and overwork.
That's the kind of corp I work at =/

I guess I was correct in my assumption yesterday when I told my boss that things can't keep on like this.
Sadly, they will stay that way because the higher-ups seriously don't give a damn.
Office-wide strike....
