Why only skeletons?  The zombies and ghosts are shouting discrimination!
Technically speaking, zombies from the original olympics would just be skeletons. Ghosts...how would that even work? They'd be unable to do anything requiring physical interaction, and in stuff like gymnastics and swimming they'd have clearcut advantages since they float and all.

I think I'm getting sick, which REALLY sucks. I feel very achey and haven't been to the gym since sunday, and I never take this long to feel at least mostly alright aside from the soreness associated with the muscle group I worked last (shoulders in this case). I hate this feeling...when you're right on the verge of getting sick and everything just kind of hurts.

This is the point in life where having lost my mom really REALLY sucks the most. I need me some e-mom-gency medical care. Instead I have my dad...whose answer to my whining is "get over it, we got work in the morning." followed by him throwing something at me.
48  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: PS4 or Vita? on: August 09, 2016, 05:03:55 PM
Well now I want a PS4 too because I have committment issues because I just really want FFXV BLERGH game companies why do you tease us and torture us so!

Maybe if I can get a good price...
I'd be a terrible person if I didn't say my ps4 has served me well for the last 3 years almost. There are worse things to get than this for sure, and granted the neo is on the horizon, I think NOT getting a neo immediately is going to be ok. Hell even catching a decent trade back deal right around the launch will help dull the pain a bit.

Plus, you know...deus ex.
49  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Recently Viewed Movies Episode 2: The Vampire Bites Back on: August 07, 2016, 10:50:29 PM
Suicide Squad was pretty good honestly. Alot of what's going around on the net is warranted, for sure, but it doesn't detract from the entertainment value of the flick. My biggest complaints are mostly about underutilization of the cast. As great as Will Smith is, the fact that he's a very B list supervillian and STILL is the star of the show is kind of annoying. They could have used a less famous (expensive) actor for deadshot and give the rest of the cast more use in the film. I mean, Slipknot gets almost no dialogue, Croc gets maybe 5 lines, Cpt. Boomerang gets a lot of dialogue but its mostly for humor (he's funny btw), Katana gets a bit of subtitled dialogue which is just a nuisance to me, and the enchantress...speaks jibberish the whole flick til the very end.

Harley Quinn is hands dowm my favorite part of this movie, and not just because she's a sight to behold (god she is gorgeous). At several points in the movie it felt vert much like she was straight out of Batman the animated series. She sounded like, looked like, and acted just like Harley Quinn should. Margot Robbie, 10 points for you, A++. Joker on the other hand...he's good, don't get me wrong, but Leto did his own joker. A comic fanboy will see many flaws in his approach to character, but even a regular fan will agree that he tried to channel too many character types for what is basically just a psycho. Won't spoil anything, but Joker has only one focus, and in this flick, he definitely had 2...it's not joker like.

My biggest grievance with the flick is Rick Flagg. He annoyed the shit out of me with his by-the-book character. He tried so hard to be basic that he ended up being really basic. He was supposed to be the main character but he ends up being overshadowed by pretty much everyone else with a higher pay grade. Hell even Scott Eastwood who did NOTHING AT ALL was more interesting.

Aside from the above whines and complaints, the movie was pretty good. Action was delivered, story was established, cameos were made, and Margot Robbie did make a 4 second appearance in the harlequin red and black jumpsuit. I'd watch it again for sure.

So in this new world of armor design, less clothing=more protection from both damage AND cold?

BOOM.....LOGICS.

Still love Aeterna's design though, frog hat be damned.

I have pulled 3 gray hairs in the last year...though I feel strongly that one of them wasn't actually mine, and both were off my beard. Thankfully, my family seems to have a history of beard grayness first, so my devilish red hair will remain intact for a while...hopefully.

I've been getting taco bell breakfast lately on my long ass treks to work, and after trying their various breakfast items, I've come to the conclusion that their sausage flatbread quesadilla is the best breakfast item ever concocted for a dollar. I could eat them all day. Their crunchwrap is...less impressive, though my father loves the california one with the avacado and tomato and onions. Their cheesy breakfast burritos are meh. I have not tried the breakfast soft taco but that's mostly because it seems very hard to handle and eat in a moving car without disastrous results.

Speaking of treks, I've come to the realization that I shoulf never be allowed to drive. I'm not aggressive enough behind the wheel of a car to be on the road, especially in new york city. Furthermore, I'm the posterboy for road rage. I'd be that asshole who gets out of his car in the middle of the road and start smashing windows because some assclown cut me off and flipped me off. And don't get me started on people driving while using their cell phones...I scream at my friend who does it constantly.

Dieting is bullshit. I've tried to cut back my calorie intake while still maintaining my gym regimen, and it does not fucking work. I limited myself to 2k calories a day, and after a full day of working I just wanted to go home...but as the tough S.O.B. I am, I'd go to the gym anyway...and simply get nothing done. I was hoping I'd adjust but so far that's a big nope. Seriously, rather be overweight, happy, and at the gym working out over thin, unhappy, and lacking any drive to move. I'll eat more nutritionally beneficial foods, but fuck this <2000 calorie bullshit. The worst part is that when I managed to get some weight lifting in, the recovery was slowed to shit. I'd usually be fine 2 days after a gym run but currently I'm still sore almost a week later. Nothing like having squat legs for an entire 5 days.

I hate manhattan.

Bud, unless your picture taking skills are the absolute worst, you bought a re-wrapped used game.

Yeah, that's not a shotgun pump, that's just part of the axe head so it stays secured to the barrel, and it only looks like a pump since that potion is not solid, since obviously there's enough metal at the front as it is. Honestly, I'm impressed how believable they're trying to make it look. The handle design also looks surprisingly comfortable, while the stock is extra thick, but curved so it's less likely to impede the axe swing. I hope one of those novelty blacksmiths I saw online take a crack at it, I wanna at see if it at least makes for a decent axe (it's bullets are probably magic though, so I wouldn't count on it ever making for a real dual-purpose weapon). I mean, they kinda ruined it with that counterweight at the end, but I guess it has it has enough weight at the front that you wouldn't actually need the stock to rest against your shoulder...
Not gonna lie, the whole design is failed then. You have a sight that won't work, a blade that will break easily, a throttle handle(?), a stock that you can't physically make use of...dumbness incarnate.
54  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki on: August 02, 2016, 11:58:14 AM
I don't see how the axe gets in the way of the sights, since the blade is on the underside of the barrel.

That's right, I'm arguing with a two year old post.
Depends on how it fires...because the visual representation would have you believe that the barrel has a forend pump on it, meaning you would fire it with the blade up...but the trugger could very possibly be in his hand already suggesting it fires blade down.

I'd say drunk food is valid discussion here.  When I went to Rutgers, I ate too many Fat Sandwiches for my own good during my weekends of drunken debauchery.  All other drunk food paled in comparison to those grease truck sandwiches.
...no wonder you're vegan now. I've seen those fat sandwiches from the fat cat food truck. You've eaten enough meat for 2 lifetimes.

I thinkk thy all do something well.

Wendy has ok sandwiches.  But I preefer McDs fries.  Burger King has mozzarela stix when you need them the most.

I can't imagine your stomach after 2 weeks of Baconator.  If it made you strong or broke you down, or both, then a neard death experience.  But wow...

Hmm I like that breakdown, I thought Wendy's fries were surprisingly tasty though, ordinarily though McD is pretty choice.

I think it was both, I felt totally empowered because I was high on crazy amounts of animal fat and sugar drink, and I also felt like I was constantly on the verge of mental breakdown and physical annihilation.

3 days or so afterwards I was like... "well.... holy crap.... lets not do that anymore!" When I thought back to it I had to resist the urge to hurl.

In my defense, I occasionally had a chicken club instead of Bacanator.

You aren't drunk enough to be posting in this thread. I demand 3 shots of 40% or better liquor before your next post!

Best cure I ever had for treating a burn was a cold rag across the burn after submerging it in water for a fairly long duration....like 15-20 minutes. I'm talking til the point where the part you burned is several degrees cooler than the rest of your body. Usually numbs it enough to at least sleep it off.

Hey so I'm kinda stuck, because this game's quest log is useless. Could somebody further than me give me some advice? I'm travelling with Setsuna, Nidr and Kir and I'm about 15 hours in.

We reached the last lands to find a crevice. Two of my characters disappeared. I ran into Akash the shipwright in the frozen tundra, who said I needed to bring him a certain item to get his airship running. I can't remember what he said I needed to get, or where to find it, and he's gone now.
Go to the town where you first met spear lady. Just  walk through the rest of that valley and walk north then northeast.

Spoilers, boss fight, and it's a doozy

Not really relevant to the above, but Agent I like your new avatar. Also glad to see your face survived the image transition. ;)

In my haps... I will be married in less than 7 weeks. So awesome, but also kind of weird to think about. My fiance and I do not currently live together, so we've been moving stuff in/out of our new apartment which is tiring, but pretty fun. Both of us are looking forward to being married much more than the wedding day itself - too much stress! Haha. We'll be on our honeymoon afterwards, but it's so easy to forget about - it feels too far away and the wedding takes up all my mental space.
Thank you, Bewear is my new favorite pokemon, and good luck with the 7 weeks of torturous stress before the day. Also, congratulations in advance

Some new haps...

Been trying to improve my strength through more radical means, so I've been doing slightly less weight (haha, less) for 100 rep total on my first major exercise, aside from squats cuz bad ankle. Today was chest, so I went for 315 for 100 reps. Took me a grand total of 1 hour and 28 minutes. This is the second week of it...I took 2 hours last time. So yeah, improvements!

The worst week of my year is approaching again in a mere 2 weeks...a children's play I do a few miles from where I live in the bronx. It's not the actual play that is bad (it's usually pretty terrible), but it's the fighting between my father and I, the terrible heat, and the direct sunlight all day for 4-6 hours a day. It sucks, I hate it, and every year I put a new hole in my door from it. Goody for me :(

So I developed a new crush on this girl who works at a dunkin donuts location not far from where I live. She's stupidly pretty and I get all flustery when I walk in and see her, which is oddly pretty often cuz work and my old man loves his coffee. I've tried to say simple things to her like good morning or hi how are you, but they come out sounding like a grunt from lion. I then grumble something along the lines of thank you when I pick up my order (online order ftw!) and smile awkwardly as I leave. I saw her tonight as I was picking up some dinner and I tried to say hi but again, just came out like a weird gutteral noise...I'm an embarassment to men worldwide...

Ahh...life blows.
