First trailer's up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKefajjWfqE

It does look a lot better in motion. I hope we get a western release announcement at E3. If not, I'll probably just get a PS2 copy and e*****e it cos this has got me all worked up about playing it!
Ok, I give. What the hell us e*****e mean?I know foul language, but this is just....wtf?

A valiant effort I am sure, D.
Actually it was pretty pathetic. I did a few sets before I tried the goal, and the gloves gave me a big head, 315 was easy and stayed in my hands really well, even 405 I didn't lose grip. I tried 455 and got it, but my right leg started shaking at the height of the lift. I set up 505, placed my cellphone at the front of the squat rack I was using for the exercise, and after 4 minutes of 57 seconds of psyching myself up, I got the bar half a foot off the floor and lost the momentum. Dunni whatvhurt more, failing or trying....

I can't really argue with that, I'm just curious how they were different.
No royce or xenobia in the original,  and ghaleon was much more eviler.

But Xenobia was in the original (after all, someone had to impersonate Mia's mother); only Royce was added for SSSC and beyond. And yeah, more evil stuff was done like enslaving the residents of Burg to work at the Talon Mine (including Alex's parents).

They also substituted one kind of filler with another (i.e. hunting for worms for material for your airship versus having Kyle solo fight statue Hell Mel), and took out all the free plot Exp the game handed you in TSS.
Ok, my bad entirely. I meant Phacia. I know 2 of them never appeared in the original. I should have remembered it was Phacia simply because she survived the ending of SSC. Most of the other filler nonsense was just that, so it was easily swappable one way or the other.

But Ghaleon definitely was much more fucking eviler. Like you were always happy when you smacked him down and owned him-type evil. I never played TSS mostly cuz sega saturn was a pricey fucking shithole system, but I read up on it because I had ALWAYS wanted to play lunar 2 from the previews in my old "Game Players" magazine.

At this point, as long as she accepts my video game habit, she's a winner in my book. I would be thrilled to have her play with me, but what's the saying...can't have your cake and play video games too? Some shit like that, lol.

Also, 505 deadlift attempt...

Okay, then don't rupture your organ because you're gonna need it for that first date with a hottie from your gym.
Lmao, I deadlift 500 pounds, no hottie at my gym will wanna talk to me ever again. All their boyfriends will stop trying so hard and pay more attention to them instead.

It's cool, I think I can do it. Pretty amped for it. Been taking a pre-workout for a week now, did 400 twice without the pre-workout, and now I have real gloves too. Gonna just warm up on an easy set and go for it. Just debating on if I should record it or play Goku's super saiyan 3 theme for motivation. Ideally both but cell phones mang...

What's that burger made of?  Beets?

I'm still all about the burrito, though.

And Agent D- you'd better not rupture your organ.  You're gonna need it when you go on that first date with the FF8 hottie.
Didn't I tell you guys she deaded me? I fucking blocked her and moved on my merry way.

It's alright, I'm busting my ass now to become a beastly fit monster, I'll just King Kong it til I get shot off a vuilding.

WELP, gonna go attempt to deadlift 500 pounds today.

If I don't post here for a few weeks I may have ruptured an organ...

Wish me luck :)

You find insufferable elitists in every community and subculture.  We see that nonsense all the time in our gaming subculture, which is why so many of us don't post on any forums other than RPGFan.  I sure don't, because RPG players are often the most insufferable elitists.  Proselytizing is one of my biggest pet peeves.  For example, although I stopped drinking, smoking, and doing drugs, I choose not to associate myself with "straight edge", because most people associate straight-edgers with the assholes who'll flick a cigarette out of your mouth or punch you in the face for having a beer.  I follow the credo of "your body, your choice."  I won't give you grief about what you do/don't do to your body, just as long as you don't give me grief about what I do/don't do to mine.

So I say I live "intoxicant free."  But then again, why do I have to justify or even defend my chosen "don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs, eat healthy, avoid chemical medications, don't engage in promiscuous sex" lifestyle in the first place with some kind of righteous label?  It's silly.  I just live.  What's funny, though, is that subculturals are chill with my lifestyle choices but the normals call me "no fun" and see me as less than human because I don't drink.  I live a more colorful life than those clowns.

Moving on... so while Ninja vs. Pirate seems to not be a thing these days (I'm firmly in the "ninja" camp on that one), a stupid cartoon came up with a battle of equally epic proportions:
Burger vs Burrito.

Where do YOU stand in the battle of burger vs. burrito?

Me, burrito all the way!

Sorry, I just watched am episode of teen titans that was actually called burger vs burrito.

Fall on the floor, claim you are pregnant, and cry while stating you hope the baby is ok. The parent will freak out and...let's just say that kid won't behave badly ever again.

Btw, only do this if you're ok with ruining someone's day completely, and are ok with knowing that the kid is gonna get such an ass whipping, like life changing beating.

(Don't do this, it's terrible)

I keep watching "About Time" with Domnhall Gleeson and Rachel McAdams. I dunno what it is about this movie, but every time it's on I end up watching it all the way through. It's so simple and cutesy and I can't help it when it's on. It could be also that I secretly find Rachel McAdams to be the epitome of a perfect woman. I don't wanna spoil it at all but the premise is about a guy who can travel back in time by standing in a dark room and just concentrating on a time and place. His father also can travel and helps him experience the power and use it well. So being a romaric drama type flick, it goes on about how he is looking for love, wanting a family, dealing with pain and loss, and so forth

It's not the best movie ever, but I really love it. I'm also quite happy to see Bill Weasly not get cut out of 6 other movies before this one and then get 0 screen time cuz HURR DERRP.

Seriously, love this woman. I wish all women were her.

In the case you mention, I can see it both ways. Adoption is a good alternative but in some twisted logical sense, it's not "YOUR" child, so some people get thrown by that. Also, though rare, the adopted child could harbor resentment later in life as an unwanted baby, that can't be easily rectified if at all, so some people are scared by the idea of adoption. Your case here, however, is exactly what I expected. I can neither condemn nor praise their persistence. They are basically gambling with human life, and 25% is a pretty strong chance. However, if you look at it (YOU DON'T HAVE TO AGREE BY ANY MEANS) like this, it's more exposure on a medical level to the disease and ways to treat it. Their one extra baby with the disease could be the one with right genetic combination that advances treatement to tolerable levels. I'm not saying they're just bred guinea pigs, but these medicines only come out of necessity. Call it morbid, but it's just a view I read once, not one I personally agree with entirely.

Personally, I feel that this family in question isn't doing anything horrible to anyone but themselves. The heartbreak each time finding out they just had a time bomb of a baby must be terrible. I do believe that denying an adoption in favor of having your own child is your (the family in question) choice, but it's your burden alone to bear when said situation arises. It's a terribly hard choice any way you slice it.

On a side note, regarding adoption, how do you all feel about the fact that it's so hard for gay couples to adopt kids in the states?
73  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What's the haps? on: May 25, 2015, 01:07:23 AM
I'd say it depends a lot on the disease.
I'm in agreement. If we're talking something that will actually make the child's life extremely hard or even give them a much shorter lifespan, I'd be against it. If it's something like down syndrome or a similar type handicap where they can function fully but have some difficulties, I don't see why not. I mean if we're talking having a kid for the sake of having another kid, absolutely. If you mean trying to have one without the disability, almost like having a better kid to save face with the public, I'm more inclined to say fuck you that's horrible.

Medicine is going a long way in the years. It's only a matter of time before the typical stuff we're scared of like HIV and AIDS, cancer, and other horrific ailments are curable, and other debilitations are more effectively treated. To be afraid that you're bringing a kid into the world where he's got anything short of a fighting chance at having a fulfilling life...I can understand that horror of a feeling. But I secretly desire nothing more in life to have a kid, just to try and spread my own sense of being out there after I'm gone. My mom, her mom, her grandma, and her aunt all had some form of cancer, and only her aunt has survived it, the other 3 died of lung cancer. My father's mother also died of cancer. I'm greatly freaked out by the idea if how genetically favorable my chances of developing cancer are, and I would only be passing it along.

I had a lot to say here, I'm kind of surprised.

it's a rather strange phenomenon that mesh isn't currently on intense psychedelics.  you really make me wonder sometimes.
Mesh is a taste you should definitely try to aquire. When you get right down to it, he's just awesome.
