61  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: drunk thread on: July 31, 2016, 07:41:19 PM
I thinkk thy all do something well.

Wendy has ok sandwiches.  But I preefer McDs fries.  Burger King has mozzarela stix when you need them the most.

I can't imagine your stomach after 2 weeks of Baconator.  If it made you strong or broke you down, or both, then a neard death experience.  But wow...

Hmm I like that breakdown, I thought Wendy's fries were surprisingly tasty though, ordinarily though McD is pretty choice.

I think it was both, I felt totally empowered because I was high on crazy amounts of animal fat and sugar drink, and I also felt like I was constantly on the verge of mental breakdown and physical annihilation.

3 days or so afterwards I was like... "well.... holy crap.... lets not do that anymore!" When I thought back to it I had to resist the urge to hurl.

In my defense, I occasionally had a chicken club instead of Bacanator.

You aren't drunk enough to be posting in this thread. I demand 3 shots of 40% or better liquor before your next post!

Best cure I ever had for treating a burn was a cold rag across the burn after submerging it in water for a fairly long duration....like 15-20 minutes. I'm talking til the point where the part you burned is several degrees cooler than the rest of your body. Usually numbs it enough to at least sleep it off.

Hey so I'm kinda stuck, because this game's quest log is useless. Could somebody further than me give me some advice? I'm travelling with Setsuna, Nidr and Kir and I'm about 15 hours in.

We reached the last lands to find a crevice. Two of my characters disappeared. I ran into Akash the shipwright in the frozen tundra, who said I needed to bring him a certain item to get his airship running. I can't remember what he said I needed to get, or where to find it, and he's gone now.
Go to the town where you first met spear lady. Just  walk through the rest of that valley and walk north then northeast.

Spoilers, boss fight, and it's a doozy

Not really relevant to the above, but Agent I like your new avatar. Also glad to see your face survived the image transition. ;)

In my haps... I will be married in less than 7 weeks. So awesome, but also kind of weird to think about. My fiance and I do not currently live together, so we've been moving stuff in/out of our new apartment which is tiring, but pretty fun. Both of us are looking forward to being married much more than the wedding day itself - too much stress! Haha. We'll be on our honeymoon afterwards, but it's so easy to forget about - it feels too far away and the wedding takes up all my mental space.
Thank you, Bewear is my new favorite pokemon, and good luck with the 7 weeks of torturous stress before the day. Also, congratulations in advance

Some new haps...

Been trying to improve my strength through more radical means, so I've been doing slightly less weight (haha, less) for 100 rep total on my first major exercise, aside from squats cuz bad ankle. Today was chest, so I went for 315 for 100 reps. Took me a grand total of 1 hour and 28 minutes. This is the second week of it...I took 2 hours last time. So yeah, improvements!

The worst week of my year is approaching again in a mere 2 weeks...a children's play I do a few miles from where I live in the bronx. It's not the actual play that is bad (it's usually pretty terrible), but it's the fighting between my father and I, the terrible heat, and the direct sunlight all day for 4-6 hours a day. It sucks, I hate it, and every year I put a new hole in my door from it. Goody for me :(

So I developed a new crush on this girl who works at a dunkin donuts location not far from where I live. She's stupidly pretty and I get all flustery when I walk in and see her, which is oddly pretty often cuz work and my old man loves his coffee. I've tried to say simple things to her like good morning or hi how are you, but they come out sounding like a grunt from lion. I then grumble something along the lines of thank you when I pick up my order (online order ftw!) and smile awkwardly as I leave. I saw her tonight as I was picking up some dinner and I tried to say hi but again, just came out like a weird gutteral noise...I'm an embarassment to men worldwide...

Ahh...life blows.

Breath of Fire 3 was pretty great but also like that killer Shroom boss and a few other blocks were kind of absurd... or the bone dragon in BOF3 after you finally become an adult. I seriously think I must of fought that boss for like 18 hours.
Meanwhile, my first playthrough of thebgame I actually leveled Garr up enough to learn Kyrie, which totally 1 shot him. Gud tiems.

"I got wrecked at RPGFan.com and all I got was this lousy sign!"

(Ha, I hope this means you didn't hate the review, at least!)
I am enjoying the game, and your review pretty much sums up thise reasons why. A+, would read again.

Already exists

In Haps: Burning the candle at both ends, but it's only for two more weeks....only. :(
I just left my main job early to work on other work..

Those sugar coffee drink things are super addicting.

Speaking of haps and addicting I'm addicted to Wendys.
Be careful, Wendy's makes you fat....I know...cuz I'm fat.

...goddamn Baconators.

FYI, Derek's review of this game is live.

....so "I'm a trump supporter" was the last suggested sign...

I'll take a picture of myself with a sign that says literally whatever your reviewer wants.

Should this happen, I suggest I'm a proud Trump voter.
...jeez Anuubis, I thought we got along pretty well here. If you wanted me to kill myself there are easier ways...
72  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Pokemon Sun & Moon (11/18/2016) on: July 20, 2016, 07:18:18 PM
Seriously, I even love the name of it.

The best thing nintendo ever let happen.

Our review is coming tomorrow!
20 bucks says the review will consist of...
"Easy ass battles
Adorable characters but main character is a bore.
Story progresses like a 4th grade mystery novel.
Piano-based sountrack is simple but damned effective.

Paraphrased of course, but if I'm not 100% on, I'll take a picture of myself with a sign that says literally whatever your reviewer wants.

But....why does no one have feet?

makes 'em undefeatable, naturally

Love it. xD

I'm guessing it's because it's 'cuter' too.

But Dice, they still have feet, albeit tiny little mini feet. In Setsuna, they have pegs legs. Everyone even, it's pretty creepy.
75  Media / General Games / Re: The controllers thread on: July 19, 2016, 08:27:06 PM
After playing Fatal Frame 5 (Gamepad as camera), I'm going to ahead and say the Wii U gamepad qualifies as a top controller... it's extremely lightweight and easy to handle (moreso than an ipad) plus the NES controller elements are smooth and unruffled.

The joystick knobs, the Ls and Rs and such, everything is about as polished, I daresay it's one of the best controller's Nintendo has ever made.

That's a GIGANTIC disagree there. The size makes it very disfunctional, especially when you're entirely used to smaller controllers like dualshocks and the like. My entire month and change of xenoblade x, I CONSTANTLY found myself looking down to the controller for button placement, just a glance sure, but it was enough to be annoying. I will admit it wasn't the most unpleasant thing to hold (that still is a tie between the 3dsxl and the vita), but it still left me wanting to out it down during extended play durations.

I swear Nintendonjust makes these controllers to annoy prople, they know how to make functionally impressive controllers...but then they pull shit out like the stupid n64 pad, and the wiimotes.
