that would punish warriors though. i just got got my i90 crafted accessories and will be respecing my war to str soon.
Playing as a str warrior for most of my last 3 month in XIV, I can safely say that DD wars aren't great anyway. You sacrifice ALOT of your hp to even do substantially noticeable damage to enemies in return. No healer ever thanked a tank for being able to add 10% extra dps to their output...just saying.

It's mostly just a prideful thing to nail 1500+ Inner Beasts on crits...it does get the blood flowing. It's also somewhat helpful to aggro aqusition in some cases, like making a fellow tank look bad, lol. But honestly, if SE forced the bonus stat out and simply reallocated the points back to the main stat, I'm sure most people wouldn't care. I know smn/sch users would be thrilled at not having to split the stat or blow 10k seals every time they feel like changing their allocation of stats ...

I know, I know...but in my defense, it's just informing people that it happened...not like there was any sleeping with Sony employees to get this information out there, nyuck nyuck.

I kinda like the general series topics for older titles.
I really wanna play this one again...
I wouldn't have even put this up if it were anything else, but Suikoden getting a psn release is pretty hooge.

Not sure why your topic says "1 and 2".  The second is news, sure, but the first one has been on PSN for years.
I keep forgetting about 1 because most people don't even mention it, plus the kotaku link says both....whoopsie.

Point taken, I can't keep fighting this battle, anyway. I agree that the death of Eric Garner is not something to be taken lightly. I just get so pissed at the lack of sympathy for police officers. There are 35000 police officers in New York, and because maybe 50 of them pull off something stupid or dangerous or less savory than most people are willing to hear, all of a sudden every cop is a racist, power hungry douche. I have reasons to dislike police officers but I stop and consider what the 2 that wronged me and my family account for in the long run...not much. I know, as Parn said, that the situation was handled poorly, it could all have been avoided entirely though if he had just done the lawful thing and stopped in the name of the law.

It just gets to me is all.

Also, I realize I said Garner wasn't indicted...hurr durr Offixee Pantaleo. My bad.

Only took what... 8 years?

You're biased and from a racist town, you're trying too hard to detach from racist roots by defending shit like this. Because that's what it is, bullshit. He commit a crime, he was detained, he resisted and was forcibly grounded and in the process his asthma triggered and, mostly due to the fact that he was trying to get away initially, his pleas for help were ignored. No one should have died from what should have been a simple arrest, but the officer should not be punished for doing his job, nor should this event force an entire restructuring of the NYPD.

You know what,at the end of the day,a jury of people who showed no bias in this incident agreed that what was done wasn't illegal and Garner is not to be indicted for it. Yeah, I'm fairly sure my opinion isn't the minority here.

...to be fair, real horses also don't allow you to catapult yourself 15+ feet into the air and result in slow motion target aquisition... just sayin.

If the guy you beat up had had a gun, would he have been justified in shooting you?
I'm gonna entertain this for a minute mesh. First of all, neither the asshat I scuffled with nor myself made any type of statement demanding the other stopped what they were doing. As soon as the jerk who early nearly smashed my leg dropping weights like an incompetent moron stopped trying to hit me back and just covered his head, I backed off, so if he pulled a weapon at that point he'd be entirely in the wrong. New york gun laws are also much stricter than Florida's so he'd be in the wrong for having it in almost any case, much less firing it at me on a  public street. I also didn't go looking for him to start a fight, he waited for me, so self defense in his case is gone in any regards, he was waiting for a fight, I didn't give him a chance to do much about it. Do you want me to go on about the legality of our fight, aside from the fact that public fighting is disorderly conduct and if someone had filed a complaint we would both have been justifiably detained? Zimmerman/Martin is not similar to what happened to me and that guy that night, so no, short of me attempting to choke him to death the guy would have had no justifiable right to shoot me.

What does this all have to do with blatant disregard for a police officer arresting a person and said person resisted? In the US,if  police officer stops and questions you, you are legally ok to not answer, but then the officer can choose to arrest you and you MUST comply with it. No questioning, no resisting.

Mesh....what are you pointing out? In all of those quotes of mine, cops are not involved at any point. Zimmerman isn't a cop, and that fuckhead I got into a fight ran because he heard a siren, which btw had nothing to do with our own fight outside as the car never came around. I didn't say my actions were justified, just that I did them, and if I had been stopped by a cop, I would have done as told. Much the same as when some little weiner of a polic officer arrested my dad, a 6 foot 3 300+ pound grown man because he was making a fit about my sister getting in trouble in a hospital. It's called respect for the law.

@glassjawsh it's not fucking racist, it's not horrible police tactics, it's fucking doofs like you who think telling a guy to stop in the name of the law is enough to get a person to put his hands up and settle down...OH WAIT THEY TRIED THAT AND HE TRIED TO LEAVE. So yeah, horseshit on everything you say. And your fucking nonsensical comparison of soliders versus american populace deaths is completely that, nonsense. Last I checked, the military isn't out there stopping THEIR OWN FUCKING PEOPLE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE PROTECTING. Seriously, it's so easy to sit on your fucking high horse and pretend that crime isn't fucking real and police are just paid government lackies looking to bust balls. Know what, if you don't like police brutality in the US, go move to china where if you are out of line, police simply beat your ass.

2400+ people died over the course of 5 years from police involved incidents....I wonder how many hundreds of thousands of crimes they prevented so that number didn't get a zero added for crime relates deaths to American Citizens BY American citizens.

I'm not gonna argue this shit, fuck Garner, let everyone know that resisting arrest is against the fucking law, and stop fucking blaming racism on every black guy who gets arrested and injured during the process, you're only telling them it's ok to be a criminal thug because we shouldn't assume they are. It's all our fault that criminals choose to be criminals, because right and fucking wrong isn't so easy even  7 year olds understand the basic concept of it...

It's all about taste there, Aeolus.  I couldn't care less if there were ever a new Bond movie.
HEEEEEEY, Daniel Craig is single-handedly saving the Bond franchise. I am quite happy to discuss Spectre, the new Bond flick.
74  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Today's News on: December 05, 2014, 09:06:44 AM
I have nothing but hate for the protesting of the Eric Garner case. Idiot people running around claiming what the officer did was illegal...it's ridiculous. The chokehold used wouldn't have been effective if the guy had simply stopped resisting, but no, lets forget that whole part, OBVIOUSLY the cops should have just let him go because any physical effort to stop a fucking giant guy could have possibly injured him and cops shouldn't be allowed to cause harm to FUCKING CRIMINALS. The chokehold isn't illegal, either, just his station house banned the use of it. So is he (the officer I mean) liable to get fired for breaking station protocol, sure, but did he break the law, fuck no.

...FOR FUCKS SAKE THE GUY HAS A GODDAMN HISTORY OF CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES, WHY ARE PEOPLE EVEN UPSET ABOUT THIS? Maybe he didn't deserve to die, but the officer who was in fa t doing his job doesn't deserve the horrors being thrown his way for taking a scumbag off the street. Sell a loose cigarette today, a dime bag tomorrow, maybe a few hits of ecstacy next week...this is just bullshit. Fucking police officers in America get so much heat for dealing with the worst street criminals the world over, risking their lifes for ingrateful fuckholes every day who'd rather instigate them into forceful arrests to file lawsuits than simply do the fucking lawful thing and stop when told to and such. God I fucking hate how we treat law enforcement.

Thanks guys~ I now fully realize how boring being a Tank is. :S
Actually tanks are probably the most active role in groups most of the time, assuming you don't play a boring tank style. I was always moving to avoid attacks and reposition for ease of attacking. Tanks are only as boring as you play them.
