2  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: New Square Enix Game on: June 27, 2009, 07:30:08 AM
So it could be...

SaGa 4
Romancing SaGa 4 (I would love to see that one...)
Final Fantasy: The Warriors of Light (a NES/SNES like FF spinoff, to be released on the Wii's Wiiware)
3  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: SaGa 2 remake announced on: January 19, 2009, 08:23:06 PM
Meh at this news.

Of all games to be remade, they chose one of my least favorite RPGs...They should have remade Romancing SaGa II instead....or Seiken Densetsu III (in 2D, of course...)

7  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Tales of the Abyss confirmed for U.S. on: April 28, 2006, 05:08:07 AM
Best news of the year thus far, as far as I'm concerned. I enjoyed Eternia and Symphonia quite a lot so I'M glad we'll see even more Tales goodness this year (THREE Tales games in a year? Damn we're lucky :p )

Heh, that'd be a very complex game, as it would take place in six different time periods with over a hundred dungeons involved. :D

A few years ago, I started working on a Zelda quest using the Zelda Classic program (which allows you to edit your own quest). Unfortunately, I've had a HD problem and lost my files in the process.

I'm still planning to make my own Zelda game someday. In fact, I have came up with my own storyline, which would take up to six games to realize!

I agree with that as well. I've been replaying the first games of the series recently and I can't help but wonder: "Why can't every Zelda game be like these?". Heck, even Zelda II, often seen as the black sheep, has a certain charm. It may have gotten away from the puzzle formula, but at least THEY TRIED SOMETHING NEW with each instalment (I'm looking at YOU Capcom and your Oracle games...).

Even though I have had fun with it, I truly believe that Ocarina of Time is seriously overrated. It's just that it wasn't what I wanted a Zelda 64 to be...And even though they fixed the controls and made the combats actually FUN in Wind Waker, sailing became so irritating that I was wondering if I wasn't playing a fishing game made by Nintendo and starring Link...

Minish Cap really surprised me. The storyline is nothing special (evil wizard threatens to destroy Hyrule, the princess is in danger, blablabla), but it definitely has that A Link to the Past feel (my favorite game of all time), which is a good thing. I wish it was longer.

I don't care about cel-shading or "realistic" visuals. As long as Nintendo can make a game with countless dungeons and less boring fetch quests (the beginning of Ocarina of Time, the triforce hunt in WW, having to do a series of pointless sub-quests before entering virtually every dungeons in the Oracle games, etc...), then I'm in. However, the series seriously needs a breath of fresh air (perhaps Zelda Revolution will bring that...).
