WHY WAS I NOT AWARE THAT THIS TNG EPISODE EXISTED?

Is it just me, or does Elize act way younger than her age?  If I didn't read her character info Online, I'd swear she was 8 or 9 or so.  Even my 10 year-old cousin, who is also shy, acts older than she does.

Meanwhile, I was really surprised by Leia's maturity in certain scenes regarding Elize.  She's one who I would have expected to be older.

Elize isn't so much immature as she is socially insecure for very good reasons.

Leia is my favorite character because she has all the good qualities of your typical super energetic young female character without being portrayed as either smart and obnoxious or just plain ditzy.

Sometimes it's difficult to make out what they're shouting during battle, though. Force Wave didn't sound like Force Wave the first time I heard it, more like "For- --a-". Which didn't make much sense, considering it's a move where Alvin empties his gun and Jude gets creative with his fists.

I said this earlier and I was totally serious.
Whenever I do Demonic Chaos (Jude + Alvin), I hear DEMONIC HAM!
I'm not sure why...

INSTANT BALLZ

Thanks for this one. I just hit adulthood and now I'm looking forward to dropping my balls.

He'll hit you with everything he's got ;)

Just saw the game's TV spot. Cheesy? Sure, a bit. Still got me super pumped for this weekend and next.

I hate the shop system in this game. It's a wonderful idea that just does not work. Seems like every time I buy weapons/armor I earn enough points to level up the store and earn a discount on the equipment I just bought.

I find her holding up her robe over that skeleton a little more disturbing than the increased voluptuousness.

To be fair, I've only played up until the refugee camp and I found that "spoiler" to be kind of an obvious twist that was pretty much expected.

I'm going to feel stupid if everyone else figured this out already, but if not here's a handy tip for combat:

If you're linked to someone and you open the Artes menu, it will have link symbols next to the moves that currently allow Linked Artes. Just figured this out in the mine with Jude and Leia. Now I actually stand a chance at getting the Linked Arte Chain titles.

It's not all bad, the characters may have no cohesion whatsoever in terms of design (The entire world seems to have that problem in this game) but each one is at least interesting enough individually that they don't really fit well into any archetype (Alvin notwithstanding of course. And Leia I guess, but Leia is awesome).

I'm surprised we don't see more characters like Elize. Near the end of Chapter 1 when she was

separated from Teepo
I had many feels. Even the sub-event afterwards at Cline's manor was really moving (albeit depressing as fuck).

American Television: Proving that the more bad decisions you make, the better chance you have of getting a big fat check to let people gawk at you.

guess I kinda wanna throw out a question to everyone:
Puzzle in dungeons -- yay or nay?

Yay, yay, definitely yay!  Love me some puzzles in my dungeons.

Seconded. Sandshroud Ruins was my favorite dungeon in an RPG to date. I have to slightly disagree on the navigation bit, though. Lastalia Shaft and Arcadia Garden incorporated the navigation in to the puzzle element and it forced you to think in order to navigate, which I liked. But Wallbridge (both the fort and ruins) and even Barona Castle Secret Passage were just frustratingly designed.

I've pretty much surrendered myself to the fate that all my favorite RPG series' are slowly devolving into just a long sequence of barely challenging fights to tell a less-than-inspired story.

Oh man, I could spare $20 for a sale, but... Soul Sacrifice or Muramasa? On one hand, I already own Muramasa on the Wii, and I've heard there isn't a huge difference. On the other hand, Soul Sacrifice would be a bit of a gamble since I'm not sure if it's something I'd continue to enjoy, even after the demo.

What can I say, I'm just really really slow at playing games.

I don't know how you guys do it. I've been mostly playing this and I haven't even finished chapter 1. I'm never going to get through my backlog.
I'm about to head to fort gandala, if that says anything.

Exactly the point I'm at, actually. Makes me feel a bit better.
