Steak is the only food in the world I will pay $40+ for. I have an odd combination of weak teeth/jaw and a dangerous fear of choking that I avoid most steaks. So when I can afford it, nothing beats a night out for a well-aged, well-treated piece of beef.

Game journalism is a fucking joke.

Amen to that. Not this site, I have yet to see any non-news articles on RPGFan, but all the major sites are terrible, most of their news articles are along the lines of "Game Developer Says Their Game Will be Good."

I want to try to find the music from Late Night Yuisnaan because it reminds me a little of "The Landing" from FFVIII

EDIT: Ah. nevermind, I have no idea what I was hearing but it definitely wasn't that one.

Instead I'll post these:
Song of the Savior ~ The Chosen One
Song of the Savior ~ Grand Finale

Guess he forgot the gaming community on the Internet is full of people racing to be the first one to "leak" the next big thing.

Reimi is so awesome, it's a shame I have all my money budgeted and tied up for the next 2 months.

My advice is when you're undecided about a game, seek out one or two generally positive reviews and one or two generally negative reviews and see which one resonates with you more. That's how I go about deciding anyway.

Fun fact: Most people in MMO's initially think I'm a girl due to behavior/mannerisms and such.

Not sure what that says about me, but I'm okay with it until guys start flirting with me.
which probably says a lot more about me than I'm comfortable tackling atm

did you ever consider that you may be androgyne?
http://gender.wikia.com/wiki/Androgyne

as for me i tend to attract submissive types and clash violently with more dominant people. >.> when it happens at my job it usually results in them getting fired. XD

Wow, that article is very enlightening. Thank you for that, it certainly makes it feel a lot less odd to try and explain to people why I'm not a total perv for preferring to play female characters in games. I obviously have more exploring to do, but this article does begin to explain a lot, so thank you again.

I can't really comment on the story as a whole, but as far as presentation it's been pretty fantastic so far.

In regards to the FFXIII-2 discussion:

Code:
According to a bit in the Datalog of Lightning Returns, if a Guardian is defeated by another guardian that has the strength of will to resist the chaos of Etro, then the heart is destroyed for good, or something along those lines.

Took me a bunch more tries, but finally took her down. The last bar of health took FOREVER because there would be times where she would use her "THIS WON'T BE PRETTY!" attack 4 or 5 times in a row. So I would swim away, swim back, get in maybe one hit before I had to swim away again.

Atlantica as a whole is just a massive stain on an otherwise solid game.

Considering giving up on Kingdom Hearts 1.5 after my 25th attempt to defeat Ursula with absolutely no luck. The battle is 10x harder than I remember it being. The movement is completely illogical; you try to swim one direction and go a completely different direction, and the gazillion lightning bolts can pretty much stun-lock you into oblivion. Oh yeah, you're warned about a tenth of a second before they strike so at least the game gives you a leg up there.
1169  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, Listen to his story again... on: February 20, 2014, 08:34:37 PM
I've had this game on preorder on Amazon since last summer, and now it's less than four weeks away. Also, I started replaying this a week before they revealed the project over 2 years ago. I put it on hold then thinking there was no way it would take this long to make. So to say the anticipation is killing me wouldn't be too far from the truth.

I do have a question for those of you that have already played the International Version: Does the expert sphere grid have the same nodes as the regular sphere grid but in a different order, or does it make it harder overall to develop the characters to ridiculous lengths?

Bravely Default:

Just about to start Chapter 3 and I'm sort of nervous since a lot of folks on here talked about almost missing various side quests in this chapter, so I'm going to be extra careful. Kind of sad to be leaving Florem, as that has been my favorite music in the game so far. I'm not a fan of the town's  themselves though, they feel more like small set pieces rather than towns. Nice to look at, but not very interesting. I will also say that the difference just two or three levels makes in this game is astounding.

Lightning Returns:

Finished Day 3 and the Yusnaan main quest. It's going to take a lot for any of the other main quests to top that one. The music during the "performance" was amazing, as was the music that played after the main boss.
Code:
That and I finally found Snow to be a likeable character.
I was starting to worry that I wouldn't be able to get into this game, but it's really growing on me fast, and could very well become my favorite entry into the series. I opted not to use the guide, so I'm also proud that my progress is going so smoothly.

Anyone else feel like the combat system is acting as a stealthy link between that of XIII/XIII-2 and XV?
