.Hack//GU Credit Themes
I love all of these, some of my favorite vocal pieces from games.

.Hack//GU: Rebirth - Gentle Hands
.Hack//GU: Reminisce - The Truth of One's Whereabouts
.Hack//GU: Redemption - You Smiled Kindly

^ I know a lot of people who hate the Big Bang Theory, but I'm not one of them.

I find people who hate it tend to take it too personally. The argument is "the comedy has us laughing at the characters and not with them," and then I challenge them to name one sitcom where that isn't the case. I mean, I hate to burst the haters' bubbles, but there are aspects of geek/nerd culture that are pretty dumb when you think about it.

Though it also helps that as someone who suffers from OCD, I can sympathize--and therefore also comfortably laugh at--the character of Sheldon. I can see how others would find his character slightly insensitive or offensive.

I can also agree with the sentiment that the character of Amy and her dichotomy with the other female characters is really sexist, but I don't think it hurts the show as a whole.

I don't know if I mentioned this--I don't think I have--but I cancelled my reservation on the White PS4 Destiny bundle. I didn't really love the beta. I enjoyed it for what it was, but it seemed like a game that would only capture my attention for a week or so before it started feeling repetitive and dull. Guess I'll wait for Rise of the Tomb Raider before getting a PS4 now.

Gaming stuff: Been plugging along in Wildstar, Diablo 3, and Borderlands 2 but nothing really to talk about in any of those. I've managed to finish 65% of the Hanzo side in Senran Kagura Burst, and I'm just about halfway through .Hack//Infection. That last one is incredibly easy once you've played through it enough to know all the combat loopholes and how to effectively command your party. I've always found it kind of hilarious that Orca, one of the two most famous players in The World is only level 50.

It's almost as bad as in GU where Haseo is like one of the only Rogues you see in the entire game despite the class being super overpowered and a lot more dynamic and fun to play than the other classes.

I'm (still, despite evidence) hoping the second one has a whole new set of job classes, or at least a complete overhaul of the existing classes. One of the key differences between this and FF5 in my mind, is that in FF5 I wanted to play around with all the job classes and could always make a decent party out of what I was working with. In BD only a little over half the jobs were viable in most situations while the rest just handicapped your party while you were leveling it up.

The few things I know from Kadokawa have been great, so to hear they're behind this makes it a little less surprising it's so popular.

I said in the game journal thread that I recently returned to my own anthro-girl CCG addiction with Valkyrie Crusade after a year hiatus. I was surprised to find the company is still changing events every 15 - 30 days. I feel like the difference between successful and unsuccessful mobile games with similar styles is the effort the developer is willing to put into the game after it's released.

I've had a Klyde-style revelation that I cannot bother putting a lot of effort into playing through games anymore unless I'm *REALLY* invested in them. This has led me to another revelation that I don't really care about finishing games, either (again, unless I'm really invested in them)

There are a few games that I own the sequels to that I haven't touched, and I obviously want to finish those, but for the most part I'm okay that I probably won't be updating here much. And that's not supposed to be some kind of elegant declaration, it's just that this thread seemed like a more apt place to share these thoughts than the game journal.

Er... you don't need the destruction sphere itself. You need to use the destruction sphere in each temple to find that temple's hidden chest.

I don't know if anyone's heard this, or posted about it yet, but apparently in some kind of miraculous turn of events, Tales of Xillia 2 is getting an Official Strategy Guide.

I'm pretty shocked myself.

Looks like Persona Q is another title I won't be getting. I refuse to play Atlus' little game of charging $10 more than the standard price of 3DS games just because they know their die-hard fans will pay it.

Remember kids, just say NO to $50 3DS games.

So I was looking for something to read, and after a quick glance through my bookshelf, picked out .Hack//Another Birth. After reading just one chapter, I am once again in full .Hack Mania. Stopped reading the book to watch .Hack//SIGN for the umpteenth time, and I've also made sure my PS2 is in working order so afterwards I can play through Infection-Quarantine again while simultaneously reading Another Birth. Then I'll watch Roots and play through GU.

I recognize I probably love this series a little *too* much, but whatever. Oddly enough it's indirectly the reason the MMO is my favorite sub-genre of RPGs.

I'm still kind of miffed that .Hack//Fragment never got off the ground.

I'm in the middle of signing back into every online community I am a part of because somehow my cat erased my entire browser cache while playing with a piece of string on my desk.

...or she just managed to open Firefox in some kind of safe mode.

Does it make me a pervert that Zelda's bare thighs in this game is a bit of a selling point for me?

'Cause they totally are.

But it's okay, because I think Link's design is pretty sexy too.

Step right up!! Step right up and try the world famous Trololol Ice Cream!!

Seriously, though. Love when people combine performance art with food.

Sometimes I feel like the only one thinking, "Hey, uh... I know it's not a monopoly, but maybe we should stop Google from getting a foot in EVERY door?"
