Hundreds of hours on FFXIV, enjoyed XII, have beaten Type-0 twice, Curtain Call is one of my favorite games this year, the HD FFX and KH versions have been carefully and awesomely put together and not at all rushed out the door. Also looking very much forward to Explorers, FFXV, Type-0 HD. The number of Square games I haven't enjoyed is vastly outpaced by the ones I did ^^

Considering some of my favorite games this year and last year came from Square, I don't agree surg anyone hoping they fail. I also don't understand why you would ever hope for something to fail, especially when lots of people enjoy their games. That's a level of cynicism beyond me. Also, I agree sub everything Din and Ygg said.

If you don't want to worry about your potions, you should play another game. The flow of gameplay is built around them as a finite resource that you need to weigh whether or not you have enough of to get around.

A thousand thanks to you, Marcos :) And again to you for your participation, Reta!

Three things:

1) Sorry for the delay in posting. I've been hiring new people and super busy!

2) Thanks so much for everyone's continued patience: the drought should be over now :) There's an episode of Rhythm Encounter cooking for Friday, and we're also RECORDING another on Friday with a talented musician.

3) holy freaking crap Reta: thanks for all the selections. I will be totally honest and tell you I will absolutely not have time to listen to them all. Your enthusiasm, however, is super appreciated! However, if you can pick one or two that you'd REALLY like to hear on the show, let me know and thy will shall be done.

I've also had success using a PS3 controller with Motionjoy tool. The game has an option that lets you toggle between PC and controller schemes.

Well fortunately America doesn't have tonberries, behemoths and chocobos so I doubt the drivers side will be as jarring 😋

Though we do have Molboros (in convenience stores and gas stations all over the place).

And they cause bad breath!

Honestly, the only thing I'm worried about at this point is dialogue.  I'll probably beat my head into the game's disc if you're stuck on a bromatic cruise of the country listening to really bad or unnatural dialogue.

Well, I don't know what the content of the dialogue will be, of course, but the dialogue from the trailers seemed to be quite good and better-written/more natural than the XIII series in my opinion. I'm optimistic about the story based on what we've seen so far.

So on the topic of the Keep, I've been reading on the official forums that one of the options in the Keep has the potential of causing one semi-major character to become possessed by a demon (unless you kill the character when they are being possesed) or be perfectly fine depending on your choice in the Keep. Not going to spoil who or what choice, but yeah there are apparently some potentially major impacts based on the Keep.

Spoilers regarding who is in the game but not in what capacity or any context.

Code:
There are cutscenes that feature classic characters. Before these scenes, you're asked if you'd like to customize the appearance of that character, for example, Hawke. You get to use the DAI editor.

That isn't really a secret, the character appears in trailers and the character creator bit was mentioned in a tweet by one of the deevelopers.

Yeah, but not everyone watches the trailers or reads the tweets-- like me :), so I didn't want anyone to be spoiled.

Haha, I'll be the first to tell you I'm not a good barometer for AC. I hate that series; it's all the cynicism of yearly CoD releases without, I think, the amount of polish that goes into CoD. I can dig people enjoying it, but will definitely not ever be one of those people.

Some of your Keep choices have major impacts. Some have small impacts. Some don't affect anything but could be used for future DA games.

As an example-- from DA:O, depending on what happened to Connor, Redcliffe will be a different place in DA:I, and the dialogue as you travel around town and talk to people will be affected. Other times it's just a small mention of something that happened.

It seems more and more like Freedom Planet is a thing I need to play.
