I'm really confident if you wait a few weeks there will be reso fixes, so it might nit be a lost cause!

Chrono Cross - despite having not as strong of a cast as Chrono Trigger, this game is absolutely fantastic.
Final Fantasy IX - The best of the PSone Final Fantasies.  Note that FF7 is incredibly tough to play today due to its total lack of analog control.  You never think about it until you try and play a 3D game with digital control only.
Xenogears - I'm personally not a big fan of Xenogears as a game.  There's way too much tedious exposition, but this is one that's looked at as a necessity.
Front Mission 3 - If you like SRPGs, this is probably the best PSone classic available for that itch.

John's assessment here is quite solid. Plus, he said FFIX was the best on PSone, which is the best way to make me agree with anything.

I'd also highly recommend FF Tactics-- although the translation and new content in the PSP version does make that one a little better.

I really enjoyed Xenogears' story and music, but I absolutely hated PLAYING that game. Some contend that the second disc sucks because it's all exposition with little gameplay, but I actually loved it because I got to actually stop PLAYING the game.

Locked at 30FPS, 720p resolution. On the other hand, looks like Blight Town is fixed. So even if it isn't perfect, still looks like the definitive version. Plus, PC modders will patch out the 30fps limit and possibly even iron out resolution issues.

... GFWL. -_-

I can't say that I'm excited about them making iOS games...

Sure beats not making anything, though. All those people still have jobs and an awesome logo now.

I love this series. I'm listening to the OST  for IV, and it's just all sorts of awesome. I feel pretty confident we'll get a localization.

Sorry for the delay! Real life has been kicking my ass lately and I've been a bit rough with the updates. And yes-- the album is worth it for the extended "An End, Once and For All" and "Wake Up" alone. Well, it's free, so it's worth it no matter what, but you get the idea :D

Isn't DoDonPachi on android? I think I have that game.

That first track is badass.

Wow, that looked about as thrilling as I've found every other Dragon Quest game.

(not thrilling at all)

Actually I have a hunch how this might go. Two really.

Hunch #1:
Code:
Here; you have a weapon that can kill Reapers. Go do the 'refuse' option. Here's your Star Wars Death-Star-Blows-Up
ending, now shut up about it.

Hunch #2:
Code:
Here; you have a weapon that can kill Reapers. Go do the 'refuse' option. Hey look; you almost won!
I bet you if you buy a few more future DLC story quests with more legendary weapons
you might actually win someday.

Either way...I dread those options. As I said before, I actually like the idea that you can't always kill space Cthulhu.

I agree completely, I was suspecting something like one of these two scenarios. I'd ACTUALLY be okay with that. It allows them to maintain their original narrative vision (whatever the fuck that was) while still appeasing EVERYONE.

"Rift in your ending"

I swear to god, Bioware, if "rift" in your ending means "1000 more points to your war assets meter" I'm going to fucking brain someone.

I just noticed I'm having this issue with the BbS review as well. Using Chrome/W7 64bitz.
