I made a sylvari. It brought me back to playing a sylvan in Dark Age of Camelot. SOLD.

I can't believe how much they've improved this game since the first beta. I played that one and now this one, and it's just all sorts of fun.

I'm playing Rainbow Moon now. It's fun, and I like the presentation, but it is most definitely a grinder's paradise.

That link is  very interesting. I'm much more on the side of the supposed "original" ending. It's a difficult choice, but it's way more pertinent to the story than what we got. The EC at least gave it some closure, but the core irrelevancy of the 'ultimate choice' to the plot of the series as a whole still smarts. Whatevs, though. Sad that after such a fantastic series I'm basically just apathetic to it as a whole. Not at all what I'd hoped would come of it.

I've been playing in Japanese, and it's awesome. I'm really excited that it's getting an English release.

Chrono Cross did this feature the best.  That is all.

Fact.

Also, Chrono Cross did basically everything the best ;-)

Except for individualized techs and a coherent plot (and providing a villain who's too busy waiting for you to show up to do anything villainous).

Also, the regular battle music sucked.

Disagree. *fingers in ears* la la la la la la.

FFIX doesn't get enough love.

I'm kinda scared when SE touches FFIX again actually. Knowing them they can end up making a sequel for that game and ruin the little magic that the franchise has nowadays, same goes for FFVI.

Oh yeah, I found this and I think you might enjoy it.

OH MY GOD HELLO NEW BEST FRIEND. This is so awesome.

I really, really love FFIX. It captured everything I loved about the series but managed to get in a more Tales-style cast of characters, what with all the humor. Humor is more effective with drama, and drama is more effective with humor, and FFIX understood that. Plus... it has Zidane. I mean come on. You could combine the casts of FF7, 8, 10, 12, and 13, and still they wouldn't have as much charm and personality as FFIX's cast. /clearbias

6 and 9 (and Tactics) are without a doubt the FF's with the best cast of characters, I think.

True, but it wasn't what the music was supposed to sound like, and that's where my issue is.

No sale if the game still uses shitty MIDI sequenced versions of all the music.

Man, my friend had the PC version back in the day.  That music made my ears bleed.  So bad.

Its literally inexcusable if they still have that stuff in there. This already reeks of a lazy cash in, but if they can't even go that far...

FFIX doesn't get enough love.

Code:
Yeah, he wasn't better in the books. He's flat and uninteresting there, too. His entire function was to serve as a Saren-surrogate, and that was a well-intentioned but misguided goal.

Fact is, TIM and the Reapers were plenty villain enough. They were trying to create a 'personal' conflict like Shep had with Saren, but it fell flat. Saren was an awesome villain because he was sympathetic and also awesomely villainous-- and if you read the books, you realized that he was xenophobic and racist with regards to humanity but not EVIL, and his indoctrination just exacerbated that existing issue. Plus, his voice actor was off the fucking hook.

Kai Leng just consistently did stupid shit for no reason, and could barely beat a critically ill drell (admittedly, that drell was THANEOMGBADASS), but still. Seriously?
