I admit that I really didn't care for Trails in the Sky, but it would be great if 2/3 got localized. I'd hate for TitS fans to get the Shining Force 3 Scenario 2/3 treatment. I still hurt to this day.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Celceta the most, too. Supposedly it's a bit more open than your average Ys game, and I am always excited for more Vita stuff.

Yeah, I agree.
Now then, on the opposite end of the "awesome loot and character building and skill system" spectrum... there is this little game I can't stop playing called PATH OF EXILE.

I'm not much into Monster Hunter but I'm looking at Soul Sacrifice with an open mind. I like this idea in those Monster Hunter type games, just there is something in MH which feels nice but at the same time doesn't. The total lack of a plot of characters seem to be fixed. They don't have to be an over dramatic FF story, just a background story like Demon's/Dark Souls, even if you don't understand much at the end, just put something so I can pretend I made a difference. Another thing is this game has mages! Don't take me too serious here but anytime given the option I will play a magic type chacter, and since there are a ton of ways to approach and a ton of magic, I'll probably be able to do a mage type character. Anyway, after seeing the Soul Sacrifice Review Type Thing (Japanese Playstation Network Demo) I'm much more excited fot it!!! I agree. I'm all mage, all the time. Also this game has a Mitsuda OST so I must own it, no matter what. Also, I hope the Vita can turn it around this year. The 3DS did it-- all it will take are some good games and some price drops on the hardware.

There's a fantastic guide on GameFAQS for how to grab all the missables AND get Excalibur II in time. I've done it twice, and I can attest to its efficacy.
Also having Excalibur II means you can show off to all of your friends what an FFIX boss you are.

Yeah, play it blind. There are missables, but don't ruin the magic with a guide. If you're super OCD about those, you can play again :)
Plus, if you're going for 100%, you have to get to the final dungeon in 8 hours to get Excalibur II, which is... not easy.

The new (relatively speaking) Pool of Radiance was pretty wonky, if I recall. At least it had Elmo. That's the game with the infamous bug in the uninstaller that would remove your Windows folder as well as the game itself. As infuriating as I might find that, I also would probably laugh. "OUR UNINSTALLER DOESN'T TAKE ANY SHIT. GOT FILES? FUCK YOU! THEY'RE GONE!"

So I've got about 6 hours on the game now, I love it. Skill system kicks ass, and the diversity of different kinds of skills is awesome even at level 13 out of 100. Loot system is great too. Rob, I appreciate your complaint that the action feels weak, but I couldn't disagree more, because it feels just as tight as any other ARPG I've played, to me. Also I'm going to keep harping on you until you play it with me :)
Saying the barter system is confusing and turns you off is like saying "Learning Dark Souls is confusing and doesn't tell me what to do, so it turns me off." There's a ton of flexibility in it, and because of how it's built, it encourages trade and picking up things you might not normally pick up. Also, it encourages player interaction because someone else may have something you need, and usually you'll have something they want.
Anyone else playing this?
