Personally, I've never seen basic left and right movement as an unnecessary complexity, so I'm with you there.

Yeah-- that's what I meant to say. The monsters have more utility, but I'm a pretty strong opponent of monster systems in JRPGs. It just seemed like a cheap cop-out to not have to write as many characters, which are like, the best part of a Tales game for me.

I'd love to see what else they're doing to tweak the game. CURIOSITY

This absolutely does not sound like the kind of fighting game I would enjoy, no much how much I love humorous trailers or Fresh Prince.

I'll be in the back playing LittleBigPlanet Mortal Kombat.

Wait, is this trailer a joke? Is this seriously a fighting game where you just dive and kick? The entire community around it is kidding, right?

They weren't useless, they're plenty good, but they're locked at certain levels based on where you are in hte story, and they're capped at 50. Also in higher difficulties they aren't as viable. My brother and I still beat the game using all humans, but your options definitely are more limited than with the stupid monsters.

Wait really, they supposedly de-limited the ToS cast in 2?

And I'd be surprised if they got Menville... but would certainly like them to.

Yeah. I'm assuming it'll at least have the additional content from the PS2 version. I don't recall if the skits were voiced in the Japanese version originally, but it sure would be awesome if they were able to get the band back together to do voicing for the skits this time. Still, <3.

...i want online play for Tales.

Hey, we're not above bribes. Well, I thought we were, but now that I've seen what they can get us, I'm all for it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it the most-- we've gotten a really great reception to this episode all-around, so we're definitely going to aim for more broad topics (boss themes are probably up next). If you guys come up with any creative ideas, feel free to share them. If we do a Chrono ep, it'll likely be a Chrono Trigger/Cross/Radical Dreamers one, but we'll see :)

I'm a HUGE fan of the music in XS2 and 3, and I've actually already picked a track from 3 that will appear in the next podcast :). Good choice there.

As always, it's great to hear from you guys! Keep it up! Tell friends! Spread the love! Have your favorite family member give us 5-stars on iTunes!

Maybe because everyone processes their experiences differently :)?

*steals many of these for an upcoming music podcast*

I also see everyone's.

Well, in my experience, beating VLR is not best followed with Fire Emblem, because VLR has awesome writing and (YES I KNOW YOU FUCKERS LIKE IT) Fire Emblem has shallow Saturday-morning cartoon writing that I hated. So I don't do that.

I did just beat P4G, and ended up trying to play something totally different so as not to make whatever came after seem lacking in comparison. Worked out well. Generally seems to be a good idea.

I believe I am interested in this game. Seems like it'd be up my alley, and Broken Age looks crazy good. I'm not one to doubt Double Fine's artistry, that's for sure.

Rather it be this kind of stuff than something else. Plus, they need to make money. This takes nothing away from the experience of a player who chooses not to buy it.
