I'm not sure how this is incompetence. It's a stress test beta. Every single person who signed up knew (or should have known) that these kinds of things can and do happen. The entire point is to draw out errors like these ones BEFORE launch. This is the very definition of "how things should be going when there is a problem."

They may not have said anything yet because they have nothing to say yet. I'm guessing that's probably the case.

Still, probably not a bad idea to take it easy on making progress for now, just in case.

I'm just glad it's beta, that's what beta is for-- to fix these things before the game launches.

The maintenance is still going on.

Apparently they aren't permanently locked so you MIGHT be able to get on when you refresh the list if it's not as busy.

...which you can only do once every 3 minutes.

Actually the Twitter account is keeping updates coming, so it's just a matter of playing Xillia until they unlock :)

Hurray, I can't play because Hyperion is locked.

I'll be on Hyperion as Taelus Arion  :)

Of course, some call me THE EMERALD KING

I agree with what was said earlier.  I'm tempted to mute towns because of that bloody "Mutton, fresh mutton!" on repeat.

I just tweeted that four times.

All that said, I'm enjoying this game a lot still. I enjoyed Vesperia, but the combat in this is definitely better, if you ask me. Makes me want to go back and beat Vesperia, though.

don't totally understand this site's love-fest for FF9

does not compute

Was skeptical until I read the KS page. Backed at $20. Then I listened to the music samples and was like 'FUUUUUUUU' and raised it to $50 so I could get the soundtrack. At this point I don't even care if the game is any good, I just want the music #ThingsISayAboutEveryGameIBack

I saw you address this to Derek, but we've both already gotten it and played it :) It's pretty fantastic.

The music is pretty amazing, too.

If Derek, Rob, and I were a Tales cast, we'd have awesome skits.

I actually am surprised at all the dislike Milla's voice gets. I have no problem with it. It sounds deeper and older than I would have expected, but she's, you know, a deity. I'm not sure what this lisp that everyone else is talking about is.

The whole game does have the 'talking in a can' issue that FFXII also had, but all things considered, I'm not that bothered by it.
