That is too much awesome for a single disk, although I guess including Re:Coded cut scenes will probably help to keep the game from breaking the space-time continuum with awesomeness.

I have more games I want to play on my Vita than I have time to play them. It has already gotten better, IMO.

I kind of really like the colour of the site.

RPGFan has a long-standing policy of not accepting comments, constructive criticism, or anything of that nature unless chocolate chip cookies with green dough are mailed to each editor's home.

I've actually played VIII, and the combination of higher definition Toriyama designs (whose art I really dislike) and the same old series combat sort of exacerbated my problems. I really only enjoyed the world map, truthfully. The only one I somewhat enjoyed was IX, and from what I understand many people hated that one, hah!

I am just not generally a fan of the hyper traditional turn-based RPG anymore, and never enjoyed the tone of them back in the day. As Rob and Co used to say, Stephen hates whimsy. Also generally speaking, I'm no longer interested in iterative "done-well-but-done-before"  game play. With my gaming time ever decreasing, I tend more towards unique experiences or excellent stories.

That said, I can totally understand why people enjoy them!

Why can't they just bring back SatAM and those characters? CHARACTER DEPTH?! NO IMPOSSIBLE

Thanks for your effort putting this up, man.

Well, like I said, my intention is not to poo poo on your project, and I appreciate you dropping by to weigh in-- like I said, I appreciate your openness when developing, and I especially appreciate you clarifying regarding the classic games mentioned. As I mentioned, I do hope you guys see success, because I love sci-fi.

It sounds like you have the right idea, and while I admit I haven't been a fan of you all's past games, as I mentioned, I'm certainly hoping this is the one that brings me over. Having backed the project for the soundtrack, I'll find out one way or the other ;) haha.

I love that comic and am super excited for this game. I'm also very glad they set their stretch goals at realistic levels rather than the more appealing but far too idealistic levels many other KS campaigns do.

I'm glad you guys have confidence. Pat, I appreciate your argument, but I disagree that it seems like "the real deal." It seems like the same deal as before, only with a Sega CD-inspired presentation.

I respect that you're excited, but they've been throwing around names on Twitter for weeks, in addition to the ones listed. I'm really happy for you all, and again, I hope they have tons of success and will even play the game if it's great, but it changes nothing about my skepticism.

I've never really liked their games. Balance is a fine art, and all their games become SUPER repetitive towards the end, with very little (if any) variation in tactics necessary for battles.

I like the art design in this one, and I'm a mega sucker for sci-fi, but I'm also A) sick of the nostalgia gaming trend and B) skeptical of them listing basically every well-beloved 16/32-bit JRPG as an inspiration.

Still, I wish them well. Boyd is, if nothing else, very open with his fans, and I respect that. If this turns out a little more inspired than their last few games, I'll probably check it out. If nothing else, Imma be buyin' that HyperDuck OST :)
