So 'Nosgoth' is a multiplayer game from Squeenix based in the LoK universe. Crystal Dynamics has nothing to do with it.  Chalk this up with the ill-advised Shadowrun and Front Mission shooters..

Vic was kind enough to let me review a copy, and it's very enjoyable. Slow build, but once you get over the trademark initial hump, it's fun times, especially the combat's fluidity.

Some of these dungeons are brutal, too. My biggest complaint is the lack of dungeon music.

Is money as large an issue in this one? I remember in the first wandering around using starting equipment for a decent amount of time before I was able to afford/make anything.

Actually one thing I wouldn't mind knowing is if the race pictures fit their stats this time? I was more put off in the first one by the Erdgeist's monk like appearance not matching its magic like  stats than I should have been.

That said I did have a lot of fun playing the first game and will most likely buy the second at some point.

Money is useful, but I didn't play much of CoH1 to compare. I'm not constantly starving for it, but I also fight every battle and am playing on Hard, so I think the baddies drop more XP/dolladollabills. It certainly helps. The alchemy system is insanely obtuse, but it can be used to circumvent a lot of things you'd normally need cash for.

I think it's fun too, although I really think the game is painfully easy, even on hard. Love the mazelike dungeons. I agree, other than the relatively unambitious presentation (what the hell is up with pterodactyl calls in the Beginner's Brush?), it's a fun game, and about ten million times better than Elminage Original. I'll have a review up soon.

Thanks a ton for your kind words! I'm glad you find us not lacking in luster!

Anyways, yeah, I think I enjoy the theme idea more too. I'd still like to do a couple "series" episodes, but we'll skew more towards broader themes/types of music than series in the future.

Thanks for the suggestions-- I've had a few ideas like that too. Op/End themes are definitely something we'll do, and "particular sounds" is a great idea. I like your game between the host and others, too-- I've been trying to think of something like that, so hopefully in the future we can work something like that out. It would be fun to have a segment where one of us brings a track or two and says "okay, guess the series/composer/scene this accompanies." Could be a good time!

Also this is the first time I found someone else who likes the Shadow Hearts series and Chrono Cross.

You poor thing. Let me personally welcome you into our loving fold.

Also, picking tracks for the new episode. I'll try to work in some of all of your suggestions (we had a fourth member of RPGFan picking tracks this time, too). I can't fit everything, but don't worry-- we'll have a volume 2 of Boss Themes :). I'm always thrilled to have you guys sending in your favorites too-- makes it "everyone's show."

I'm calling it right now... I truly believe capcom's "big surprise" is going to be about megaman somehow. The end.

It needs to be.

Understandable, but I think the consensus is that that is NOT what is going on here, so I don't think you have anything to be worried about.

Also, Jim freaking Sterling gave it a 10/10. If I weren't already preordered and ready to go, that would have put me over the edge. That guy isn't afraid to call 'em like he sees 'em.

But they didn't say the plot isn't concluded with just the game, people have even said the ending is nuts. The DLC just said "more story," which Bioshock also said, and that sure as heck had an ending. I don't think this is a situation like the Walking Dead, unless I'm completely misinformed.

Why is Konami not relevant? I missed that part. They're coming out with MGSV and LoS2. I loved every previous Metal Gear, and Lords of Shadow was a great reboot. I'm looking forward to both of those games. Maybe they'll even announce a handheld Castlevania better than the one we got. OR MAYBE SUIKODEN WUT

Further lending credence to my theory that Microsoft is hoping to keep people as uninformed and confused as possible in order to shield themselves from criticism and ensure buyers may blindly jump in.

When I said different I meant different in the context of Daft Punk or of one particular artist, that is. As in they don't continue to ape their own style until it falls out of favor.

In other words, "we couldn't get enough so we're going to retool our  campaign, make Dyack less visible, and cut the goal in half."

Also, some nice hollow PR-speak:

"Since we announced this Kickstarter campaign we have seen more support from our community than we had ever hoped for," Precursor Games wrote in a notice on the Shadow of the Eternals Kickstarter page.

Really? More support than you hoped for? It looked like you were hoping for $1million+ worth of support, so actually it seems like you've seen LESS support than you hoped for. Unless of course your goal all along was to set a ridiculously high campaign funding goal so you could see how much you could squeeze everyone for, and then relaunch it later with that goal in mind. Or, you know, cheat the time limit on Kickstarter.
