Really looking forward to this. Loved the gameplay in the first one. I need mah FFV Job system fix!

If there was ever a game made with next to no replay value, it was Bravely Default...

Code:
Really? I thought it had a lot of replay value. I could replay the same bits again and again and again and again.

I kid. It is true. The story loses the mystery that drew you in during the first playthrough and you already know how to take advantage of every single boss and their pattern.

Finished The Last of Us. Great game. I only thought it was an above average game at first but after the hotel area, things really picked up. I can kind of see what Ygg meant when he spoke about the violence (both story and gameplay) I didn't mind the story violence myself but the gameplay finishers were a tad excessive after a while. I loved how it was not just clear an area and then explore it. There were large chunks before you ran into your next enemy. The gameplay (including stealthily dealing with enemies) actually reminded me of puzzle games more than anything else. I also liked how the infected were not really in it as much as I thought they would. Human encounters seemed a lot more common. It made them still seem a threat whenever they showed up.

I also finished Episode 1, 2 and 3 of The Walking Dead: Season 2. Loved it. I didn't mind Clem's walking speed at all. Walking is nowhere as common as it was in Season 1. really looking forward to episode 4 in a few days. Not looking forward to the wait for episode 5 at all :(

I still think it'll be a Netherlands-Germany final with a Brazil-Argentina third place match.

I think it will be the same. I was hoping it would be Columbia vs Germany and Costa Rica vs Belgium but that didn't exactly work out. Costa Rica may get lucky and the Netherlands will underestimate them although it is pretty unlikely at this stage of the competition. I would say that Costa Rica would have had a better chance facing Brazil or Argentina as neither team has played great this World Cup.

Just finished the first of three stories in The Chronicles of the Black Company. I enjoyed it. I tried reading the second story right after but the time skip makes things feel weird after just finishing the first. I think I will wait a few weeks and then read the second part.

American Gods is good. Weird but good. Currently around the half way mark.

Finished Far Cry 3.
Wasn't a big fan of the story near the end but the game was really fun overall. I will probably play the Co-op missions soon.

Dragon's Crown.
Beat the game on normal mode. I actually found Red Dragon harder than Ancient Dragon. Think I might take a break before trying some other classes/higher difficulty modes.

Atelier Rorona Plus

The game is really fun. I like the addition of the mini assignments, they give you something to aim towards. Currently up to Assignment 2. Yay for not having to revisit each area every few days in case there is a new scene!

Wow, the US may have lost but holy crap did Tim Howard have a great game or what! The game certainly would not have gone into extra time without him. Even though he was great, the best team did win in the end. Belgium face Argentina next. I don't have much hope for them but it would be great to see them win.

I am looking forward to the Germany France match on Friday. France either have horrible World Cups or play really well. With the way they played so far, it should be a match to remember.

Far Cry 3

Cleared the northern Island. I absolutely loved Vaas but I am not too fond of the actual story. I avoided a lot of the hype surrounding Vaas so that probably helped. The game gives me a Pocahontas/Avatar vibe even though it isn't really like them. Crafted all possible upgrades so no real incentive to go hunting anymore.

Dragon's Crown

One Talisman remaining. Think I will need to grind a bit first though. Made an attempt on the Red Dragon and he wiped out my AI party pretty easily. I managed to avoid the worst of it myself but there was no way I would have been able to take out 3/4 of his health on my own.

Far Cry 3

Almost completed the northern Island. Still really fun. The game is getting a bit more difficult now that enemies have started wearing armour. Animals are as overpowered as always. Out of the 15 outposts I have captured, I would say five of them were due to a wild animal strolling into the camp and killing everyone there. Another two were from releasing captured animals.

Draagons Crown

Picked this up from PS Plus. It is better than I expected.Currently a level 24 fighter. I have five more talismans to collect. Have not really tried online yet.

Yeah, I agree with you about the persona thing. The main character doesn't even really look like the P3 MC outside of that one pic that was going around. I was actually expecting the games to be a lot more similar.

The game is fun enough with my only complaint being there is quite a bit of backtracking for some of the sidequests. A lot of sidequests have you going deeper into previous dungeons than the story brings you. I don't mind that and you normally complete them as you try to fully explore the dungeon. There is a certain NPC however that gives you a quest to find certain items in the dungeon. They are usually in floors you have already completed and are not visible on the map. I ended up just going to gamefaqs for the co-ordinates every time she had a quest.

Germany beat the USA but both teams managed to qualify. Even though Portugal would have needed like four more goals to qualify, I think they could have got them against their match against Ghana. They threw away a crapton of chances.

Suarez also got a four month ban for getting the munchies.

Far Cry 3

Twenty pirates attack me at once? No problem!
Five dogs attack me in tall grass? Fuck.

The game is really fun so far. I have not really been playing the story so I can't comment on it so far. The human encounter rate is pretty high but so far they are pretty easy. I am horribad at driving but I don't know if that is the games fault or mine. Hunting is really fun.

Started up Farcry 3. I have basically just ignored the story as soon as I could and gone off exploring. Being suddenly attacked by a crocodile scared the shit out of me.

As soon as I saw the start of the game all I could think of was

Code:
Don't worry, brothers are tough!
