Monster Hunter 4 coming to the west

Never actually played one before but it seems really fun. It also has wifi multiplayer unlike the current MH 3DS game.

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy - You are My Hope & Love's Vagrant

I really like those pieces. Shame they are so short and don't loop in game. Edea's special attack theme is also fun to listen to.

I am addicted to jigsaw puzzles.  I haven't been gaming as much because of this.  Also I feel like cooking but I already have a lot of left overs.  I really need to use the yellow squash and butternut squash in my fridge.

My brother loves jigsaw puzzles. I normally toss one or two at him when I buy him something else for his Birthday/Christmas since it is the only thing I know he actually enjoys. Space seems to be the biggest issue with them. You need a big enough area if you are using 1000+ and the table is basically out of commission until you are done.

You are absolutely correct but that was not what I was trying to get across. I was talking about the hypocrisy of some of these people who completely bash the character by behaving like the very thing they hate and also for saying dumb shit completely devoid of any analytical substance. It's okay to dislike the character but atleast be consistent with your opinions and be well opinionated.

You don't really need any of that to dislike a character though. Admittedly, you do if you want a good discussion but it isn't necessary. Of course everyone has their own opinion but I find if both sides are opinionated( I sense I just dun some badder grammar) it is less of a discussion and more people simply repeating the same thing they said over again and again. It is great if people have an opinion that they want to voice. Not so great if both parties are unwilling to listen to each other. Admittedly, I actually like it when opinions differ. The discussions would be pretty boring otherwise.

It is nice when people say why they like/dislike a character though. I don't mind when people don't add that much however. Something like "I preferred when the story revolved around Shinra in FFVII" is fine by me. It might not explain much but at least it has room for expansion and discussion.  I have never been great at putting my thoughts into words without it sounding either wooden or being an incoherent rushed mess so I can get why some people may also have trouble with it.

I am pretty easy to please when it comes to gaming. Even if I dislike certain aspects of a game, I tend to enjoy it as a whole. Star Ocean 3 is probably the best example I can use here.  Only things that really bug me are poor pacing and something that smashes my suspension of disbelief to pieces. I disliked how rushed the last few main quests of Fallout 3 felt a lot more than the actual ending.

Pretty much why I can moan on about how much I dislike a character in one thread and defend the overall game in another. It does have the downside of making me come off as a pretentious ass though.

On a more serious note, I fucking hate bandwagon jumping and completely uninformed opinions.
Another thing I hate is how people who criticize Squall's character in FF8 for being a douchebag many times act like douchebags themselves not to mention that the character has the right psychological background to be the way he is and that he grows into a great character by the end of the game. It's like they didnt even play the game themselves, fuckers FUCK fuckity fuck! Sorry for all the swearing, it feels liberating in this particular situation.

Different characters click with different people. Some people dislike characters like Squall and love characters like Laguna. The reverse is also true. Everybody loves Vivi though <3. I tend to prefer Seifer over Squall myself. To me, he was the more interesting character by far. To others he was probably a bit too one dimensional but that is the great thing about life, everyone has different tastes except about Vivi <3.

A Labrys

Klyde always comes armed to the fight... or just likes shouting "and my axe!"

I will start the random guessing then.

A duck that looks like he is winking at you.

The lack of a question mark emphasizes my confidence that this is the correct answer.

40,000 GOG keys for The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav are being given away by Daedelic. Tried it myself and got the key after a couple of minutes.

The problem isn't that it's an FF game, it's that it's trying to be new while holding onto the FF feel. Slows it down dramatically. It's obviously trying to be different, so why try so hard to be the same?

Does it have the luxury of being allowed to be it's own game? I thought that XIII-1 was tied down by the FF name and would have done better without it. The FF name brings with it some brand notice but also some unreasonable expectations from the fans. I am just as guilty at this. It is like saying I thought Suikoden Tierkreis was a good RPG but a poor Suikoden. Which it was ;)

Not saying XIII was a perfect game or that a lot of the flaws fans point out are wrong but a lot of them may have been overlooked or actually seen as a plus if the game was not weighed down by the FF name.

Persona 4

Managed to beat Contrarian King and the boss of the second dungeon. If it is anything like the PS2 version, the difficulty should steadily decrease from now on as SP becomes less of an issue.

The game is really good but that said, it doesn't seem to add as much as P3 FES or P3P did.

Watching Archer. The show insults basically everyone but I can't help loving it. Half way through season 2.

Persona 4 Golden

The skill cards are pretty game breaking but the game is still really fun. It took a while to get used to Chie and her new voice. I preferred her old one but it could be argued that the new voice is a closer fit to her personality. Didn't even realise that Teddie got a new voice actor.

Just beat the first dungeon at level 9 thanks to a physical resisting Senri. The bonus boss there is kicking my ass though. It is just one rampage after another :(
Doesn't help that there is no save point before him and losing in very hard mode brings you to the loading screen rather than the beginning of that floor.

I tend to play multiple games but once I find myself enjoying one more than the others, I only play that one. Not really to knock a number off my backlog but rather I am simply having more fun with that one. Whether you play one game or many at once, at the end of the day, the aim of the game is to have fun.
