Ninja Edit: I will say thank you for not including more than SMT:SJ for dungeon crawlers. Those fuckers were everywhere and most were mediocre as hell.

Are you talking about Mazes of Fate and Warlock of fire top mountain or everything outside of Strange Journey? I loved the Etrian Odyssey series although admittedly it is what introduced me into dungeon crawlers. Dark Spire is actually pretty decent. I wouldn't put it on the same level as EO and SJ but I had a lot of fun with it. Not worthy of the top 20 games though. I was not a great fan of it but my friends seemed to really like Orcs and Elves. Can't think of any others for the DS unless you want to include the top down one, Dungeon Explorer.

Then there are rougelikes but they are a completely different kettle of fish.

A fraction of the shit that goes on in the PC game King of Dragon Pass. The game is totally awesome. Get it.
Edit: Actually probably best if I don't show them all. Keeping the duck one though, spoilers be damned.

I was a bit sad that Etrian Odyssey, Rune Factory or Rhapsody didn't show up but I suppose it makes sense. Also surprised Apollo was the one you chose from the series.

It was a good list though. Glad to see games like Professor Layton Unwound future and Ghost Trick there.

Out of curiosity, what type and Pokemon do I provide for Friend Safari? (Trainer: Andrew)

I know you are Fairy type and have Kirlia and Mawille. I don't think we have been both online since you beat the E4 so I can't see your 3rd pokemon.

SS2 gets easier when you get the laser rifle. I also recommend that ADAOB mod since the RPG mechanics are kind of unbalanced in the base game. also it's a lot harder if you're psionics, because psionics are sort of useless.

I never got into BG2. It's hard and it's hard to keep track of and you sort of have to be a bit familiar with AD&D rules to get the most out of it. I liked Planescape Torment a lot more once it got going, and I feel like Temple of Elemental Evil just has better combat mechanics than BG2.

I don't think NWN was very good.

I think my main problem in SS2 is I chose OSA. I know you are not locked in a class but I kind of used my first upgrades on their skills. Not that I even have any guns yet.

Playing BG1 so no idea on the quality of 2.

I haven't got that far in NWN but it seems decent so far. Only just left the academy though.

Got a bit further in Deus Ex. Having a great time so far. Neverwinter Nights is fun but not really feeling it at the moment. Probably going to come back to it later.

Tried out two other games I got in the sale. I know how everyone says Baldur's Gate is great but I don't really see it yet. I am only in the beginning so hopefully it picks up soon.

System Shock 2 is awesome but hard as fuck. I don't know if modern FPS games have spoiled me or I just suck but I seem to be constantly dying. Atmosphere is great and the game is constantly ca\using me to panic.

I am baffled by the apparent requirement to use a Facebook account for a lot of PS4 features (streaming and social stuff).  As somebody who won't touch Facebook with a 10 foot pole that just guarantees that I will never use those features...

OK, so I probably wasn't ever going to use them anyway, but now I'm definitely not going to use them.

Can't you just create a fake account? I don't use facebook either but have created one if anything ever requires it.

Recently rewatched this movie. Loved it and here are two pieces that really stood out.

388  Media / RPGFan Music Discussion / Re: RPGFan Music Podcast (Rhythm Encounter) Thread on: November 16, 2013, 06:55:50 PM
Just caught up today. Great podcast as usual. Haven't played much of the games listed but the music was fantastic. Weird listening to game music without knowing the context it was in.

Cmon guys ! Where is Quietus?! Or for that matter any other song from 999, that game has a super creepy atmospheric soundtrack(though only a masterpiece if you played the game)

I can't really remember much of the soundtrack from 999. I absolutely love Morphogenic Sorrow but none of the rest really stuck with me. I think Quietus is ok but feel it doesn't stand as strong listening to it outside of the game. Same thing seems to happens with a lot of my favourite game music :(

Edit: Just reread the second half of my post and it seems kind of douchy. Didn't mean for it to have that kind of tone to it :(

I never really think of my own mortality. I suppose I would prefer to go in my sleep or in a blaze of glory acting as a hero, giving my death some meaning. I know most people would probably like to be surrounded by loved ones but I don't think I would like them seeing me in my deathbed. I know for sure that I would prefer to still be in my right state of mind and in full control of my bladder. Sounds like I am making light of it but I honestly hate the idea of being unable to control when I go or having to be assisted to the bathroom. Not that there is anything wrong if you do need assistance, if you need help, you need help.

My dad is 60 next year and while it isn't that old in the modern day I do slightly worry. While I simply never consider myself dying, it is more mentally changing the subject whenever I think of his mortality.
