This movie was great, probably the best movie I have seen in a while. While I didn't find the jokes and pranks that funny, I loved that they felt so natural. It was something that I would expect kids their age and in their scenario to say and do. Definitely recommend it to anyone who has not seen it yet.

Saw a fox which was pretty awesome. He looked at me for a second or two before legging it.

I have done the twelve pubs of Christmas before. I don't try to purposefully get drunk when out so I usually stop at my fifth or sixth drink leaving me merrily tipsy rather than drunk. A pub crawl isn't as bad as it sounds. it is around one drink every 25 minutes. It isn't like you chug the twelve drinks back one after the other.

I would say the price of 12 drinks is a more terrifying thought than drinking them in one night.

I enjoy perma death for the way it makes me see battles differently. In other SRPGs I play, sacrificing units is often part of my strategy because I know they will be back for the next battle. Tactics Ogre and FFT method of perma death is too slow and easily fixable to achieve the same thing for me.

I don't have the DLC so that way of grinding is not available to me. Reeking boxes are also not an option for reasons Aeolus already mentioned. The only times I used Spotpass to grind were to level Donnel up to level 5 villager making him become usable and raising support ranks in the post game. It doesn't really matter at that stage though. Overall I found it a decent enough challenge although Kellem and Frederick seemed almost untouchable until the later stages of the game.

I liked the movie. Certain parts bugged me such as certain characters voices but otherwise it was a fun watch. Kruger was great and the highlight of the movie for me.

Shrek Forever After

Not a big fan of this one. I can't explain why either, it just felt flat.

Puss in Boots

Loved it. I actually really enjoyed the first Shrek movie, mostly because it felt different that other fairy tale stories I saw. Puss in Boots accomplished the same thing and was extremely enjoyable. Humpty Dumpty was extremely creepy completely going into the uncanny valley.

Otherworld is a song that I feel could have been good, but was not done properly.  The way the song was produced and EQ'd made is sound like mud with too much treble.  In my review of the Final Fantasy Vocal Collection soundtrack, I said this about Otherworld:

I appreciate the experimentation into heavy metal with "Otherworld", and it goes very well with that first Blitzball scene, but it's not as good a song as it could have been. The main riff is solid, and there is some delightfully dissonant soloing during the bridge and choruses, but the overall tone is too processed and compressed, leading to a somewhat nasal sound. I feel the same way about the guttural, growled vocals. They are so processed and compressed that they sound almost auto-tuned. What I also disliked was that the spoken vocals during the bridge took away from the cool solo that was going on. And do not get me started on the paper-thin lyrics. Metal is one of my favorite genres of music, particularly death metal, and I like my guitars and vocals with a fuller, crisper, and more organic sound. I think the razor-sharp sound of Fear Factory's album "Demanufacture" is what "Otherworld" should have tried for instead of the muddy mess it is.

I did like the Black Mages version of it with the clean female vocal.  Maybe it didn't fit the music as well as a growler would, but it was far preferable to the overly processed growling in the original version where it sounded like an autotuned metalcore vocalist with a paper bag on his head.

I am on the opposite side of the spectrum. I agree that it went well with the blitzball match in the beginning and I also loved when it played during the boss fight. While I like the Black Mages version I can't see it working in either of those parts of the game.

I do agree with you when it comes to listening to it outside the game though. I felt it fit perfectly with the game but its flaws were more noticeable outside it.

Never had an issue with Gamestop employees myself. They all offer the protection plan but never try to force me to get it. They only ever ask the one time. I have only bought games in two of their stores so I may just have been lucky.

I went to see The Conjuring. It wasn't terrible. I didn't find it scary at all. There were only one or two jump scares, but even those were predictable enough where it didn't startle me. The scariest part was the lady behind me that screamed at one of them.

I saw it last night. I agree that it wasn't scary. Didn't think it was that bad, definately not as bad as the second half of Insidious. Most of the people watching were laughing throughout it. My favourite part was probably

Ghost Maid: Look what they made me do! *shows slit wrists and runs out of sight*
Skeptical cop: Hey! You! *runs after her without a single care in the world*

Fire Emblem Awakening Lunatic Mode

Beat chapter 2 with the help of Frederick. I think I am relying on him too much which sucks up all the exp. As I am playing other games at the moment, my strategy is to get the barracks unlocked. Once that happens, I will go on every now and again and collect exp and weapons.

Virtues Last Reward
Really fun and I love the flow chart. It totally removed the back tracking that was in 999.

We removed a lot of our old pre independence laws in 2006. Most of them were not praciced anyway such as it being illegal for Irish and English to marry or for it to be illegal to speak Irish. Still have plenty of strange ones though.

Jewish people can't own a suit of armour (removed in 2006)

A publican cannot go after a customer who received drink on credit. removed in 2006 :(

A constable may detain any potatoes leaving Northern Ireland ( Still technically active in the North)

The penalty for suicide was death by hanging (repealed 1964)

The Irish were banned from having facial hair (removed in 2006)

We also had a law that made it illegal to place someone in the stocks and pelt rotten tomatoes at them but thankfully it has been repealed in 2005. Yay for the return of pillory!

I like it. It suits her a lot more than other costumes such as the Yuna outfit.
