Tales of the Abyss

Finally finished it. The game was great but the ending slightly confused me. I think I understand it but at the same time I could be wrong.

Code:
I am guessing it was similar to what happened to the replica Cheagle except in reverse with Asch being "sacrificed" and absorbed into Luke. What I am confused about is if it is Luke in Luke's body, Luke in Asch's body, Asch with Lukes memories or a fusion of the two in both body and mind. Although even if you excuse the hair growth due to time between the final battle and epilogue, the voice was different.

I kind of preferred Asch over Luke so I would be happy thinking that the unlikely happened and Asch came back alive instead with the promise being meant for Natalia rather than Tear.

Speaking of Natalia, she totally got the short end of the stick in the main cast where the main story is involved. Even though her "father" took back what he did, it doesn't erase the fact he disowned her and was going to sentence her to be executed. Then she was the one to kill her biological father. Finally the love of her life dies in the final dungeon and she has to watch as Luke comes back from the dead but Asch remains dead. It is almost worse if it is a fusion as her true love is basically going to be with Tear if her running towards Luke/Lasch is any indicator.

It would've made for a decent nod to FE7 at least where you already have a couple who defaults to an A ranked support with each other when you first get them. But then again, their chemistry together doesn't (or at least shouldn't) mandate them to get hitched with each other.

I mean it less that they should automatically be paired together but rather the option should be there. There are a lot worse pairings(support conversations rather than children potential) such as Donnel and Sully.

Code:
It just felt strange as the story itself seemed to suggest the two had feelings for one another. As well as the support convo was basically them flirting and getting jealous at one another,  especialy the Rank B one. I am guessing the reason they don't marry is actually that Marriage = kids from the future and since he is dead in the future that would not be possible, although this does not explain his potential marriage to the female Avatar.

Morrowind - WHY CAN'T I QUIT YOU.

What mods did you decide to use in the end? I remember you mentioning that attacks missing bugged you.

Tales of the Abyss

I just realised that you can switch characters mid battle during the final battle. A Doh moment if I ever had one.

I like pairing him up with his counterpart. More so for the fact I like him and the cliche part he played in the story rather than any effectiveness it had in battle. I was seriously disappointed that he only had an S Rank with the Avatar. It felt like his other support just abruptly ended at Rank A.

To kill a Mockingbird - Book Report

A parody on To kill a Mockingbird.

The actual book is great and I recommend it to anyone who has not read it yet.

Having a bit of trouble against the final boss in Tales of the Abyss. I can beat the first form although it does take a decent chunk of my supplies. The second form tends to make me use the remainder of my life bottles resulting in death. My party is Luke, Anise (Bloody Howling spam), Tear (Damaging Artes only) and Natalia (Healer). Party levels are 57-61.

I had given the game a break after grinding some Grade Points and feel out of practice. I am playing on Hard but I get the feeling it is more my lack of skill than anything else. It is not like the early game boss at Choral Castle which only took 1 damage per hit(not talking about the Sword Dancer boss)

Thinking of making Anise use miracle hammer instead. I seem to remember Natalia's Revive has an awesome FOF skill that is earth based.

Radiant Historia - Rebellion This may be known as the music signalling a bad end but I would easily put it up there with the various battle themes in Radiant Historia.

FF VI - Figaro Castle/ Edgars Theme

Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter - Calling from a Distance

The World Ends With You - Hybrid

I agree fully with what everyone has said about Breaking Bad. A great start to the last few episodes. I felt it continued on from the conclusion in episode 8 perfectly. Couldn't see how they could have done it better.

Steins; Gate

Holy crapbiscuit did shit ever hit the fan in episode 12. I ended up just watching the entire series straight, after that. Great show and I loved almost every bit of it. I am not sure if the ending should have stopped two episodes earlier or not though. I did enjoy it but felt the third last episode concluded everything brilliantly.

Code:
I actually realised most of what would happen before it did. I realised that Suzuha was Daru's daughter after Mayuri said they made a good pair. I also guessed that Okabe would be the one to stab Kurisu but didn't think it would be an accident. Had no idea about Kurisu's father and his part to play.

my idea of him travelling back to being an elementary schooler was comletely wrong. I also thought that the video from furure Okabe was actually made by present day Okabe instead. Needless to say, I was wrong.

Poor Mayuri :(

I have started watching Steins Gate. Up to episode seven and confused as hell but also loving every minute of it.

Edit: got up to episode 11 and loads of things suddenly clicked together for me. They are all probably wrong though.

Code:
Bike girl just said that Titor was her father which makes me think she may be from the future herself if Titors claims about being from the future were true. Probably a soldier as she keeps bringing that up.
It also explains why Bike girl thinks Christina is a spy for SERN. She does not work for them at the moment but rather will in the future.

The thing that "clicked" for me though and the most off the wall idea is that Okarin will travel back to when he was an elementary school kid with the new memory transfer device and give himself the fever that seemed to let him retain his memories when he is transported to a parallel universe. This could also explain why he keeps talking about the agency or organisation. He means SERN but has forgotten as he got older or only partially retained his memory.

Both ideas are probably incorrect but I love that the mystery the show creates allows you to create such predictions in the first place.

Other questions such as Christina's death in episode 1 and that satelite falling are bugging me but I am sure they will be answered later on..

Has the library picked up much or is it still like the psp in the early days? I am really considering getting one when more things come out for it. I already have some games for it from Pplaystation Plus.

I put forward FFT if that meets the requirements.
