Still playing Mass Effect. Just doing some side quests before I continue with the main quest. Damn Keepers though, I am one short and can't find it anywhere.

Out of the five team mates I have at the moment, I am really enjoying Tali, Wrex and Garrus. Krogans and Quarians are quite interesting and I like finding out more about them. Garrus as well as all Turians with the exception of Saren seem very "Human" so far. It is not that bad a thing though as Ashley seems pretty boring so far. Kaiden does not seem much better although there is a three second pause before he starts talking to me at the beginning of a conversation. I don't know if this is a bug but it gives the impression he wants to shoot me in the face. There is a sixth character greyed out so I assume I will be getting her soon. My two favourite races are probably the Elcor and the Hanar.

Loading times are pretty bad at the moment. I am hoping this is only for the first game though. I love how you can get through certain missions without resorting to violence.

That sucks. Looks like I will never be playing Harvest Moon: A New Beginning then.

This screws over both those who want to import Japan only games or Europeans who want to play games that had been translated but never brought to us. I am in the latter category but it sucks for both.

Boy, that escalated quickly.

The whole story confuses me. I mean, even if we ignore the way the crowd reacted, why did the referee even have a knife.

for the longest time i hated sazh because he's a black dude that keeps running away from conflict.

Sazh was actually my favourite character in the game.

I actually enjoyed FFXIII. It wouldn't be one of my favourites but I didn't think it was that bad. I am in the group of people who think it suffered from the Final Fantasy name.

Restarted Dragon Age Origins. I never really gave the game a fair chance when I first tried it. There was something that put me off but I could not say what it was. Having only done the Mages Origin Story, I decided to try the others. The Dalish felt the weakest as well as the shortest.I would probably place the Mages as my second favourite for the riddle contest if nothing else  but holy shit though, the Dwarf Noble Origin Story was awesome and outclasses all the others for me.

Bhelen completely outplayed me. I did not start suspecting him until I found Trian's signet ring. It seemed too likely and Trian played the villain too well but then again they did not really try to mask Howe's villainous aura either. Even then I did not suspect he went so far as to place two of his own men as my allies. This is the type of politics I love seeing in a game. It also helps that I left it until last meaning I had the Dwarf Commoner Origin Story already done, filling in some plot points I would have missed otherwise.

I had meant to play as a mage again as I find their combat more fun to play but I think I will stick with the Dwarf Noble and hopefully get into the next area after Lothering this time.

I have had the Mass Effect trilogy box set for a while and decided to start it last night. I have only just left the Citadel  but am having a blast. Combat is fun, even if it does remind me of a third-person Time Crisis. Driving is pretty boring and probably my least favourite part of the game.

Tried playing Morrowind and it's even worse than I remember. Somehow I keep forgetting about the overzealous collision detection, the bad map geometry that that's really easy to get stuck on, how short the jumps are, the slow movement speed, the hugeness of all the areas in the game which really compounds the slow movement speed... just the act of moving in the game is deeply unpleasant. I can't think of any other games I've managed to get stuck on the map object so frequently.

How many hours did I spend on this when I was younger?

I would say the geometry issue is more of a Bethesda thing than a purely Morrowind one, although it does suffer a lot from from it. I didn't really have those issues myself. My problems were more easily solved with the aid of mods. Things such as the horrible economy system that plagues every elder scrolls and delaying the Dark Brotherhood attack. I delay it more to prevent me getting some of the best armour in the first town rather than for difficulty reasons though. Despite it's flaws I still love the game though.

Playing along with my unarmoured, unarmed healer in Morrowind. After hitting a decent hand to hand level, fighting lost its tediousness and became quite fun. A lot more strategy is needed than usual. Hand to Hand is not as powerful so far as it was in Skyrim but it seems more useful than it was in Oblivion at least. I was surprised at how strong it was in the early game of Skyrim. It does go from more powerful than most other early game weapons to falling behind mid to late level weapons though.

Finished Fallout 3. I thought the ending was pretty lame. The pacing seemed really off after the G.E.C.K quest.

One of the weirder videos I have seen lately. It does not really get into it until the 2 minute mark but it needs it to build up the later part.

Breath of fire IV
Two points in the game really stand out for me as being scenes of total badassness
The first is at Ershins "last stand" where Ershin says "If someone asked you to escape, leaving them behind, what would you do? It becomes even more badass when you realise she means it as a legitimate question.
The second is the scene with Scias at the windmill

Radiant historia
I actually preferred the normal ending to the true ending but this part really stands out to me. It is as much the music changing to Red Locus as it is the scene itself.

There is also the best bad ending in the game where you discover what a badass Marco is

Just watched This is the End. I actually loved the movie and thought it was hilarious although I could see how the humour in it would not be for everyone.

Even though Brazil beat Spain as thoroughly as they did Italy, the match was a lot more fun to watch.

Really enjoyed the episode. I am glad you guys added in Shadow Hearts: From the New World. The soundtrack seems to be often overlooked due to the dislike people have for the game itself. Loved the conversation about Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross as well as about I'll Face Myself.

I personally like FF8's OST a lot, but I can see why some people might not be as down with it.

I agree with you about the soundtrack to FFVIII. I was not a huge fan of the game that much until a recent playthrough where I began appreciating it a lot more, especially the soundtrack.

Yeah, just found out about that one. I don't really have much experience relating to combat changing mods. If missing is an issue it may be easier to just raise the weapon skill to 50 by trainers or console command. Attacks miss a lot less frequently at that level or higher.

Morroblivion has also come a long way and Skywind is also being developed. I think Morrowblivion is actually completed.
