I agree with the rest of your post, but I think this part is a little unfair. It's not that characters with little clothing can't be interesting. I think she makes it pretty clear what makes a good, interesting female character.

I hope when or if Suikoden VI comes out, that they remember all the continuity. It would be disappointing if we never see the Pesmerga vs Yuber final showdown.

I'm a bit disappointed they aren't enhancing the graphics at all. I've always really dug the character design and art style overall of Persona 2, but IMO the graphics don't do it justice. The character sprites and pixelated 3D environments just look bland. Oh well, that's my only complaint. Still looking forward to playing this.

I agree. My point wasn't to dispute the notion that a prevalent amount of gamers will dismiss or bash games for insensible reasons, but to criticize the fact that they do.

I don't understand the whole "androgynous characters" criticism. I know it's a matter of personal taste, but it just seems like a dumb reason to bash a game. I don't see how it detracts from the gameplay or storytelling. And frankly, I feel that with some(not all) of the people who make this criticism there's an undercurrent of homophobia. I noticed this watching Spoony's FFX review. Some people act as if all men should conform to our notions of masculinity, and if they don't they must be gay and gay=bad.

Hmm, there's also Time Hollow, but it's kinda meh.

For those who think it's an unreasonable price, remember that the PSP Go launched at around the same price.(as did the original psp). I think considering all the new features, graphics and backwards compatibility, I think the price is decent.

Are you including handhelds? If so, I recommend Lunar Silver Star Harmony.

 Well we still no nothing about the plot. Then again, Xenogears and Xenosaga are only loosely related plot-wise. I think it's fair to say that it's at least a spiritual successor.

I agree. I picked up the game  after hearing about how awful it was, but I thought it was really fun.  I also appreciated seeing the characters reappear in Suikoden Tactics.
