I didn't play it a ton, but I did enjoy RO. My biggest problem with ToS is that I felt it didn't try hard enough to bring the RO formula into a modern age. While there were some modern conveniences, I felt like it could have implemented them better without losing the charm of RO. Also, character building and class changing felt needlessly obtuse.
You pretty much want to tinker around a class simulator before making your character.
As for stats, yeah... I read guides and I'm not even sure what I should be doing.
I understand that they copied RO for stats having augmenting returns, but it just doesn't work in ToS since every point is worth the same as opposed to RO where the cost was incremental.
So basically, it feels like you're doing wrong if you don't dump everything in one stat.
You shouldn't make balanced builds feel nerfed =/
