A lot of japanese players have been put into losers bracket by US ones already. Momochi's already out and Justin Wong just eliminated Daigo. Moment 37 revenge.

Would be funny if Daigo repeats the last tournament where he cruised the loser bracket from start all the way to #1.

I didn't play it a ton, but I did enjoy RO. My biggest problem with ToS is that I felt it didn't try hard enough to bring the RO formula into a modern age. While there were some modern conveniences, I felt like it could have implemented them better without losing the charm of RO. Also, character building and class changing felt needlessly obtuse.

You pretty much want to tinker around a class simulator before making your character.
As for stats, yeah... I read guides and I'm not even sure what I should be doing.

I understand that they copied RO for stats having augmenting returns, but it just doesn't work in ToS since every point is worth the same as opposed to RO where the cost was incremental.
So basically, it feels like you're doing wrong if you don't dump everything in one stat.
You shouldn't make balanced builds feel nerfed =/

I'm playing some ToS and it's OK.
Although I did play Ragnarok Online for over a decade so I'm definitively not impartial.

I think you're better off not seeing the finale of Xenosaga 3.
It's so ridiculous, I kinda wanted everyone to die.

Any day I find a way of recommending Jyu-Oh-Sei to someone is a good day.

The dream is to do Xenosaga 1 Shion while Xenosaga 3 KOS-MOS watches.

EDIT: oh man, best post ever for top of the page, I ain't even adding a quote to this.

Yeah, but even for Star Ocean, that's a little too fast.

Not really. Here's me against Crossel in SO3 averaging level 42 and I can get there in less than 10 hours.

Granted, it's 4D, so it's not a virgin run.

This game was not good.

Do say more please.

Also, I'm about 10 hours in and over level 40. What other game does that happen in?

Most games cap at 99, SO usually caps at 255.

Okay, now I have a bone to pick with this game because I spent 45 minutes trying to get this last quest note, and finally just looked it up. And...

Code:
IN WHAT UNIVERSE DOES "SHIFT 7 DOWN" MEAN TO *ADD* 7?

Common core strikes again?

Well, I'm playing as a Mage/Cleric, but I'll keep that in mind...maybe...I honestly don't know where the character sheets are in this game. Are there any? Is it just the inventory screen?

Click the icon that looks like a sideway head.

Cleric/mage is great. There's a cleric/mage NPC and I love her.

Also, swashbuckler is completely broken *wink wink nudge nudge*

I don't know what that is.

Classes in BG2 have packs or specialties you can take at character creation. Many of the recruitable NPCs have them too.
Some of them are pretty interesting.

Swashbuckler is a rogue one. You basically give up backstab bonus for incredible dual wield fighting potential.
The synergy is crazy since a backstab rogue is limited to daggers but a swashbuckler using the level 20 'use any item' power can go around dual wielding longswords/bastard swords/katanas and pretty much massacre everything.

That and I don't like the NPC rogues.

Yeah, I know. I was there. They gave me that exact same summary. I've been told before that Baldur's Gate 2 has a much better antagonist, and writing in general. So far so good, at least. I'm still in the first area (I got to the first portal), but I keep dying trying to stop the portals. I think I'll have to make use of planning mode next time I try. Default for that is the space bar, right?

One of the best antagonist of all time.
Space is pause indeed.

Also, swashbuckler is completely broken *wink wink nudge nudge*

BG2 starts right off after BG1.
They do give you a quick rundown though.

For all the hours it takes to complete BG1, the story is actually quite short to summarize.

Code:
You are in a monastery which gets attack by a troop of bad guys.
You parent figure dies fighting bad guys.
You run away from bad guys learning they were actually after you.
You learn that you need to go to the city of Baldur's Gate.
*Insert 60 hours of side content*
You get to Baldur's Gate and you meet your brother who's super kickass.
You learn that you (and him) are spawns of the god of destruction Baal.
He tells you that the last spawn alive is rewarded with the Throne of Baal.
You kill your brother as he wants to kill you.
