You pretty much get requests to bring every single item in the game.
The fun factor of inn request is really low.

Survived yet another round of layoffs today.
After 5 years, I've seen so many of them...

Blizzard's really seven shades of stupid for not having a demo/trial version ready at launch. I don't want to outright buy this because I don't know if my computer will be able to handle it (not so much hardware concerns as I issues with heat generation on certain programs that cause forced shutdowns). Currently if they had one I'd be willing to try it as WoW is pretty much boring due to lack of people and I'm tired of being useless since the people who are around have gear that takes months to obtain (longer since no one's helping newer characters catch up). But by the time Blizzard does make a demo version D3 will already have the same problem. Everyone will be hyper geared and well past any point I'd be starting out at so there's really no point in playing since it'll just be an Sisyphusian exercise in futility.

Find yourself a friend who bought a boxed version of D3.

EDIT: What John said -_-

Also, friend gave me Eternal Sonata for PS3.  I love the musical-theme and motifs, and the visuals are eye porn.  Crack pot story, but hey, it's a JRPG.

Oh geez.

... Bah.  Ah well, if she joins the party, I'll know to avoid her. =(

That's close to where I gave up on the game.

Do they want to play a game where they must get written proof that the owner of the chest has given them the right to open it? Like a receipt?

Only if triple signed on a deed too.

So I'm finally in act 4 and is it me or does it feel like the training wheels come off right at that point?
That first miniboss was a nightmare for my wizard.
1777  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Valkyrie Profile 2 without played 1? on: May 17, 2012, 07:45:20 PM
It helps understand who some of the characters are but you can do without.

Heck, here's an analogy.

VP1 & VP2 are like Star Trek.
VP2 is the one they go back on Earth to get whales.
VP1 is Revenge of Khan.

The movie on Earth about getting whales didn't have crap to do with the other Star Trek movies, but if you watched them, you knew who was who better.

I've been trying for a few hours to get the Green Upgrade that teaches me the skill Hyper Launcher.  I've been using Level 10 Orchestra and Opera has Level 10 Machinist, but zero luck (and plenty of Black and White Upgrades).  Is there any kind of equipment or stat bonus that will increase my chances?  Is the violin song that increases item luck better than Orchestra?

Violin is the success enhancer.
LUK increases crafting chances (equip an accessory with LUK)

I heard something about a Limiter that changes Gabriel / Indalecio's stats.  If I do the PA that activates this, will he become stronger or weaker? The source I looked at wasn't clear.  Note: I *don't* want to fight the stronger version.

If you see the PA, he will be forever stronger.
He's not that much more scary frankly. With proper technique you shouldn't have any problems.
If you end up having problems, just copycat what I did in those vids:

I've been using Customization and Blacksmith for all of my weapons and armor needs.  Is there anything better in Fun City or the final few dungeons?  I'm not interested in trying the optional dungeon quite yet.

The optional dungeon is by far the best gear. Other than that, most of the good stuff is crafted.

Final Fantasy Tactics is worst than Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced.

I seriously think I'm the only person thinking this.

Just another day in Montreal.

1781  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Games you've basically "Memorized" on: May 16, 2012, 10:00:46 AM
- Chrono Trigger
I remember pretty much anything and everything by heart. I must have played through this game at the very least 30 times from A to Z.

- Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner
I played this game so many times, finished all the extra missions, unlocked everything and then played again some more.
I also happen to like standing next to lava... no reason...

- Star Ocean 3
1 game normal, 1 game universe, 1 game normal for trophies, 1 game universe for trophies and finally a 4D game...
I actually made a binder with tons of information like crafting, PAs, puzzle solutions, sphere 211, etc.

- Star Ocean 2
One of my first JRPG love. Over the years I've played this one 4 times.

- Ragnarok Online
Knowing an MMORPG by heart? I'd say yes. I can navigate the worldmap my eyes closed. I know where every good piece of equipment is dropped and by what mob. I know every item, every card, every skill, every job, every good leveling zone for every class and level range. Although, that is up to the point where I stopped playing, so anything added after like 11.x I sadly wouldn't know.

- Diablo 2
This game took my soul.

- Diablo 1
This game took my youth.

- System Shock 2
One of my favorite games of all times and as such I've played countless times. This game did so many things right. Survival horror at its finest.

- Contra III: The Alien Wars
This is by far the SNES game I played the most. I didn't really know (J)RPGs back then.

- Final Fantasy 7
3 playthrough is way enough to memorize this game.

- Ogre Battle 64
I'm an avid fan of this game, same as a good friend of mine. We could talk endlessly about this game.

- Valkyrie Profile
If you want the A ending... you pretty much need to know everything about this game.

- Baldur's Gate 2
I seriously can't play this game anymore. I know everything. Instead of starting another game, I can just recall the game instead and save myself the 100 hours it would take to play through (I spent easily 500 hours on this game)
1782  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Diablo 3? on: May 15, 2012, 11:49:35 PM
Managed to play 3 consecutive hours with a friend. It's damn fun.
The servers being reset after those 3 hours though was less fun.
1783  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Random and Amazing Pictures, Please! on: May 15, 2012, 12:55:04 AM

Erm... Dice? You do know about this http://www.mane6.com/p/mlp-fighting-is-magic.html , right?
1784  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Diablo 3? on: May 14, 2012, 05:13:43 PM
So, do we make bets whether the Diablo 3 servers crash or not on the first day?
Having played WoW... my money's on YES.
