Poor Celia, she picked shitty friends.

Huh?
Kashell, Aelia, Grey and Lemia were all good people (although Kashell was stupid and Grey never saw her as a lover because of Lemia)
The main problem with her friends is that they were ready to sacrifice themselves for a cause while she wasn't.
It's interesting that you'd pity the one that lives over those who died.

A good in-game quote for this would be:
Quote
The death of a loved one. For they that remain, the wounds grow deeper and deeper... They that remain grow weaker and weaker, an agony incomparable, their hearts in bondage.
Can you not see it? She has ceased to live, frozen in time. It is the same as if you had slain her with one of your arrows.

and damn you Dice... I need to find the time for another playthrough of VP...

Well, you'll be happy to know their next anime isn't moe; it's homo.

It's your seal rating you want to tank. Sending them gives some seal rating back, but not much. When I played, I would send 2 people up except for one phase and I was still within the A ending seal rating (I like getting rid of characters, makes the party window cleaner =P).

EDIT: Just started a game of LoL and the 4 other in my team are 1 green banner and 3 yellow banner o_O This should be a great match.

I'm alllll alone....

Well, next time you come to Montreal for Video Game Live or some other shit (or I go down), maybe we should meet up.
Why didn't we do that last time?

Actually, speaking of losing talent. Some GAF person made a giant post about it:

Is it even worse than Virtual Boy?

I rented the VB for a week when I was younger and I think it's why I started wearing glasses ;)

Wow, never expected Germany to be a big consummer in RPGs.
Then again... a lot of FPS some years ago were about shooting nazis... so I guess it makes sense looking at it that way =/
Same thing with Command and Conquer.

Fun with Youtube statistics:
One of my P3 vid is on a korean wiki (wth?)
One of my Youtube vid was on a VGchartz article.
One vid I posted here got me 48 views from this forum. (thx ♥)
The Ys Origin trailer I put got tons of view from a torrent site at some point (wasn't that one fan translated? Would make sense that way)

In order of overall views by countries: #1 USA, #2 Japan, #3 Germany (wut?)

There's all kinds of fun to be had when parsing Youtube data.

I'm less interested in the stats of the new box as I am by what name did they choose.

Story time!

Many years ago, my father left for his vacation with his new sweetheart. My father had a cat that needed taking care of while he was away. Back then, I was still in primary school (not sure which grade). Since it was summer and I had no school, the idea came up that I would basically live there for the week taking care of the cat and house. At this point, I'll point out that I lived with my mother after the divorce and would normally only see my dad one weekend out of two. Since it felt like one of those crazy movie plots, I accepted. As a kid, spending an ENTIRE week free from any adult was just too awesome to pass.

My father left enough food in the fridge and a lot of frozen meal he prepared. He also left me one hundred dollar on the table for an emergency if needed. After everything was taken care off and I had understood what my tasks were for the week, he left.

Back then, I had no idea what animes or mangas were like. In fact, I wasn't even really into RPGs back then either (I like to think I was stupid as a child). On the second day, I'm not too sure how, while surfing the Internet, I landed on images of Neon Genesis Evangelion. I thought these looked pretty cool.

From there I started looking around to see if I could find it. Remarkably, as a child, I somehow found a private website really well hidden on the Internet (actually, it STILL exists even as of today and I'm pretty sure only a handful currently know of its existence) with no login or password; just plain directly downloadable animes. Lucky enough, the episodes hosted there were all fansubbed. I then proceeded to download the first episode.

After hours of downloading, I finally watched it.
It was then that something awoke inside of me.
This thing was incredible!
It was so good!
I could hardly believe something could be this good!

Like a new drug addict, I needed more of this... I wanted to watch the whole thing.

Back then, the Internet was very slow. The videos were about 35 mb (huge), and I had a 3.5 k/s connection and the servers were also very prompt to drop the connection. The very long list of rules on the main page were very strict and the server would kick your IP out if you broke any. I carefully set up a download resumer and created a whole process for the downloads while making sure I would not break any of the downloading rules. As such, I was getting an episode about every 3-4 hours. I would literally stand in front of the computer looking at the progress bar only to watch the episode immediately when it finished downloading. Mornings were the best part because I would have two episodes to watch while eating breakfast (worth mentioning that I would wake up in the middle of the night to start the next one and then go back to sleep).

Henceforth started a crazy cycle of eating, quickly taking care of the cat and house, only to wait and watch. By the last day, I was dead tired and watched the last episode the last night before my dad came back the morning after.

The surge of freedom mixed with the discovery of something I truly became to love made that week one of the best moments of my life.

Now, guess what I'll answer you if you ask me "Do you like Evangelion?"

Money changes everything.
1797  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Square Enix plans for the future, Doom and Gloom on: May 13, 2013, 05:37:34 PM
Well, they used to have a strong jRPG audience, but as you said, since they follow "what's cool/safe" they've gathered a bit of everything.

An easy jab would be FPS are so hot nowadays, we totally need to make one of those! =P
1798  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Square Enix plans for the future, Doom and Gloom on: May 13, 2013, 05:14:54 PM
SE is an out of touch with its audience company who lost most of its talent and never had any plan to train or replace that lost.
They 'go with the flow' of what's selling and take little to no risk.
They are going away from AAA development because they know that it's a dangerous game and they don't have what it takes to play it.

As I see it, if it wasn't for Eidos, their financial situation would be abysmal.
1799  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Tales of PlayStation(s) revealed on: May 13, 2013, 04:01:42 PM
Online multiplayer controlled combat could be kinda cool. Although now instead of complaining about bad AI, we'd be complaining about those damn noobs you got paired with =P

So I'm playing my Skyrim game which is like 60 hours in and I go read the random statistics.

I think I need help...

O_o Are you sure that is right? Unless my math is off that is approximately 1.8 items pickpocketed per second. How do you even have time to find your pickpocket targets?

If I go up to a guard and steal 12 arrows, 8 gold and 1 lockpick, that would be 21 items in about one second. Still, the maths are showing that I'm a fricking kleptomane.

I'm trying to think of a pun with dragonborn and pickpocketing...

EDIT: For lack of making a descent pun, enjoy this Googled image
