1786  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Diablo 3? on: May 11, 2012, 08:45:49 PM
I've played so much LoL lately just because I don't want to start any RPG. I just know Diablo3 would make me cancel any other RPG I'm playing =/
Come on already Tuesday!
1787  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Diablo 3? on: May 10, 2012, 01:40:04 PM
If one of my summoned minions kills a mob, does my full MF bonus count on the drop?

I don't have any quotes for you, but I can say I'm 99.999% sure that yes it would.
Mercenaries get your full MF (I tested this) and even add their own MF to your own (Although I think you only get around 25% of it)

Square should just man-up and cancel this.
I can't even imagine how much money they wasted on keeping this in development.
1789  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: The Elder Scrolls Online - planned for 2013 release on: May 05, 2012, 07:01:28 PM
Wow, that's a lot of info.

At least they have some nice ideas for innovation.

The game uses MMORPG genre standards such as classes, experience points, and other traditional MMORPG progression mechanics, but they try to present it "around the core fantasy presented by traditiona Elder Scrolls games" such as traveling around and righting wrongs or seeking riches

For example, you don't necessarily pick up a quest to do the following, but if you kill all the necromancers in an undead barrow, a shade you free at the end will reward you.

All I can think reading everything Parn said is that MMO is serious stuff =/
Seriously, just let this collect some dust until we get some info about the damn game.
1791  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Siliconera to announce Squeenix "Exclusive" tomorrow on: May 04, 2012, 12:03:07 AM
how wonderful a cancelled game

Next up Square announces a game that doesn't exist.

The world doesn't need another Versus XIII.

Just keep believing! After all, it worked for Duke Nukem Forever.
1792  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Anime Comedies? on: May 03, 2012, 11:45:09 PM
School Rumble?

I find very little anime are mainly comedies. Most have humor but few base themselves totally on it.
Also, what Dice said. Azumanga is one of the best comedy.

If you're looking for creepier humour though perhaps Kyou no Go no Ni or Mitsudomoe.
For complete nonsense, go with Excel Saga, Kujibiki Unbalance or Puni Puni Poemi.

Today, we learned that the new guy in our department is getting transferred. Last week, we lost someone else.
We've been losing some great employees since the start of the year.
It just sucks to lose people that had a good attitude and great skills.

I just have to say I FINALLY finished Arcadia Garden, and I gotta yell! For whatever reason that area drove me batshit crazy

The level design of dungeons in this game is simply terrible.
They are: archaic, confusing, too big for their own good and completely unrealistic.

Just wait till you hit the first area of the last dungeon of the Future Arc. They basically toss you in this huge complex without any hint of where to go, tons of possible ways to try blindly and you can't backtrack your steps.
1795  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / The Elder Scrolls Online - planned for 2013 release on: May 03, 2012, 01:01:12 PM
I guess there's one more player in the battle for MMORPG supremacy.

player-driven PvP conflict that pits the three player factions against each

I bring forth a new suggestion for everyone: Onani Master Kurosawa.
I'm not even trolling you.
Don't give up at the beginning. It's a seriously good read even if it doesn't seem like it at the start.

I'm not talking about the teachers, I'm talking about management.
Teachers are far from rolling in money.
1798  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Siliconera to announce Squeenix "Exclusive" tomorrow on: April 30, 2012, 07:54:29 PM
At least this announcement did some good:

Spencer’s note: It was never our intention to mislead with our news blip. If you felt we did, I sincerely apologize and instead of simply saying sorry I just made a donation to UNICEF to make amends. At the very least all of the outrage will bring some less fortunate people food and vaccines.

Is it me or does this game look kinda like Goldeneye 64.
1799  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Agent D's House of Rant. on: April 30, 2012, 07:47:10 PM
Here I'll add mine. You know what is really starting to get to me? People who think because they lived a hard life, everyone else should too.
Worst is, I'm not saying this only because of Agent D.
Currently here in Quebeckerland, the government is raising education cost a lot. They promise students will have better education... but we all know that's complete bullshit and that people who own these education establishment are rolling in money (I think you can see where this is going).

Most none-student dismiss all the protesting of the youth because of reasons like these:
« Fucking youngster, think they're entitled to everything. »
« Oh no, now they're going to have to work for their education *sarcasm* »
« I busted my ass studying and working to get my undergrad, shitty kids should do the same! »
« Quebec already has the lowest cost for education in Canada, cry me a river. »
« Quebec draining Canada's money on spoiled youth. »

and I'm not even kidding, go find articles and open the comments.

What I completely fail to understand is:
- Firstly, why is it bad to be the cheapest education? Is there truly a need to make it cost more? Should we not be proud of this and work to maintain or even improve it? There have been multiple alternative ideas brought by many people from different fields that challenge the need for money or propose alternatives to getting the money (mostly things that we should have cut ages ago like giving money to the oil industry... yeah these guys are clearly going bankrupt *sarcasm*)
- Secondly, why do people who finished their studies with humongous debt refuse to have others possibly lessen their monetary problems because "that would be unfair for those who did in the past". I'd prefer for things to get better than for people to kick themselves down to make sure everyone is evenly unhappy.

I guess we'll see where this goes.

I actually didn't think it was that bad, thus admitted first half was much better but i still enjoyed second half. Anyhow, just started Usagi Drop....

Anime or manga?
Anime only covers like half of the story... and it's also pretty obvious why they will probably never show the second half on TV.
