This game is a cash grab and probably as much fun as Cow Clicker.

So it's a FF that you play by massively humping your Ipad smearing your nether region all over the screen to make all those characters attack?

EDIT: and all those quotes made me realize I somehow ended up writing you instead of your...

I completely agree with the point you guys made about balance impending fun most times.
To me, World of Warcraft is the best example of this. The game has been receiving nerfs and buffs for years trying to make every character equal in both PVE and PVP. In the end, the result is that: it is still not balanced and every class lost what made them unique.

I said a bit ago that Ragnarok Online was my favorite MMO and it is partially because it was completely unbalanced. The only reason nobody ever complained (too much) about the class balance is because every class was broken and had it's own unique I-WIN button.
I seriously ADORED playing my monk. My I-WIN button was the Guillotine Fist. It was a 100% certain kill on any player.

Lord Knight? Berserk
Sniper? Falcon Strike
High Priest? The only way to kill a priest was to gang up on him (5+) or Guillotine Fist
Gipsy? Spammable map wide stun
etc. etc.

The problem now is that with achievements and online ranking, people will want a leveled field since there is a personal score attached to it. It's the same reason why games don't have cheat codes anymore either.

So... yeah... balance can kill fun.

Zone of the End is boring me a bit....

Are we talking ZoE or ZoE2 ?
If ZoE... yeah the game wasn't hot stuff. It pretty much exists as the prequel the great game that came after.

I'm wondering if it's worth buying the game on PS3 or waiting for the inevitable superior Vita version that will have all the DLC.
It sure seems to be the trend right now =/

I'm just surprised he actually took the time to reply to some low reputation gaijin gaming site.

for the record.

For the record, that's not even what the people were asking for.
This is just something that was cheaper than reworking the already existing companions which is what people wanted (although then you run into the everyone is bisexual problem; which is kind of a slap in the face to actual homosexuals and bisexuals)

In the end, this is Bioware saving the most money possible by implementing something in a terrible manner.
1793  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic (RPGFan Guild Edition) on: January 14, 2013, 01:35:34 PM
... dude, I knew that.

This is still a descent idea with a GOD AWFUL implementation.

Yes, you can't rewrite the past... but if it entails making a gay planet... maybe you should just keep the game straight.
It's not like MMO really need romance anyway.

This is just the creeps on the Bioware forum making them do the most stupid fucking things because marketing guys thinks those vocals few are their main audience.

EDIT: You know what? Bioware is becoming to the West what near hentai tits and ass anime are to Japan.

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/423849/20130114/star-wars-old-republic-sgr-gay-planet.htm

And this is why, even though Bioware 'supports' homosexuality, that I just can't respect their effort...
A planet for gay people? really??

I feel bad for the people that had to script & program this.

I played it back when there was only 1 patch and never encountered any game breaking bug. I figure that by now the game should be stable.

I liked the Doctor + Kes duo. They were awesome together.

Considering she was supposed to die at the age of 9 I think she's doing ok

I finished Metro 2033 (came with the THQ humble bundle) and somehow I still have no idea what I was doing.
Just pretty much moving forward gunning stuff until a cutscene appeared.

I feel like I didn't understand anything in the game.
Didn't mod weapons.
Didn't buy anything neat (I'm a greedy SOB)
Didn't use the uber bullets (they are the money... GREEDY!!!)
Didn't understand what was up with the bad guys.

At least the sentence "If it's hostile, you kill it." really does describe the game.

long series scare me...

That's the reason I'm never ever starting Ramna.
I missed it back then and it's just too much now.
