Today, we learned that the new guy in our department is getting transferred. Last week, we lost someone else.
We've been losing some great employees since the start of the year.
It just sucks to lose people that had a good attitude and great skills.

I just have to say I FINALLY finished Arcadia Garden, and I gotta yell! For whatever reason that area drove me batshit crazy

The level design of dungeons in this game is simply terrible.
They are: archaic, confusing, too big for their own good and completely unrealistic.

Just wait till you hit the first area of the last dungeon of the Future Arc. They basically toss you in this huge complex without any hint of where to go, tons of possible ways to try blindly and you can't backtrack your steps.

I guess there's one more player in the battle for MMORPG supremacy.

player-driven PvP conflict that pits the three player factions against each

I bring forth a new suggestion for everyone: Onani Master Kurosawa.
I'm not even trolling you.
Don't give up at the beginning. It's a seriously good read even if it doesn't seem like it at the start.

I'm not talking about the teachers, I'm talking about management.
Teachers are far from rolling in money.
1806  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Siliconera to announce Squeenix "Exclusive" tomorrow on: April 30, 2012, 07:54:29 PM
At least this announcement did some good:

Spencer’s note: It was never our intention to mislead with our news blip. If you felt we did, I sincerely apologize and instead of simply saying sorry I just made a donation to UNICEF to make amends. At the very least all of the outrage will bring some less fortunate people food and vaccines.

Is it me or does this game look kinda like Goldeneye 64.

Here I'll add mine. You know what is really starting to get to me? People who think because they lived a hard life, everyone else should too.
Worst is, I'm not saying this only because of Agent D.
Currently here in Quebeckerland, the government is raising education cost a lot. They promise students will have better education... but we all know that's complete bullshit and that people who own these education establishment are rolling in money (I think you can see where this is going).

Most none-student dismiss all the protesting of the youth because of reasons like these:
« Fucking youngster, think they're entitled to everything. »
« Oh no, now they're going to have to work for their education *sarcasm* »
« I busted my ass studying and working to get my undergrad, shitty kids should do the same! »
« Quebec already has the lowest cost for education in Canada, cry me a river. »
« Quebec draining Canada's money on spoiled youth. »

and I'm not even kidding, go find articles and open the comments.

What I completely fail to understand is:
- Firstly, why is it bad to be the cheapest education? Is there truly a need to make it cost more? Should we not be proud of this and work to maintain or even improve it? There have been multiple alternative ideas brought by many people from different fields that challenge the need for money or propose alternatives to getting the money (mostly things that we should have cut ages ago like giving money to the oil industry... yeah these guys are clearly going bankrupt *sarcasm*)
- Secondly, why do people who finished their studies with humongous debt refuse to have others possibly lessen their monetary problems because "that would be unfair for those who did in the past". I'd prefer for things to get better than for people to kick themselves down to make sure everyone is evenly unhappy.

I guess we'll see where this goes.

I actually didn't think it was that bad, thus admitted first half was much better but i still enjoyed second half. Anyhow, just started Usagi Drop....

Anime or manga?
Anime only covers like half of the story... and it's also pretty obvious why they will probably never show the second half on TV.
1809  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Conception (Spike PSP Rpg) on: April 29, 2012, 12:09:51 PM
So I was reading the Neogaf around and:

PSP game Conception lets other players make children with your girls via Ad-hoc

Spike's baby birthing and world saving RPG Conception has a wireless component. Connect to a friend's PSP via ad-hoc, and you can engage in "love ceremonies" with each others' maidens. The long and the short is, one of your girls may end up giving birth to your friend's baby.

In real life, letting your friend impregnate one of your girlfriends is not the social norm. But in Conception, there are some advantages. Spike says that ad-hoc lovin' is a good way to produce stronger star children, potentially aiding in battle.

This game sure is bizarre.

When I was in primary school my class went to a kid's game show.

Sometimes I wonder why people take more pleasure being jerks than actually helping others.

So many things wrong about this in all kind of ways:

I like how the father and son are playing while the mother and daughter wash the dishes.
They could have put and empty background, but no, it needed more mother/daughter dish-washing.
1815  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Anime/Manga Journal on: April 23, 2012, 07:06:07 PM
I have always watched anime via a "research and then purchase" order of operation... thus I was not exposed to alot of stuff that made it to cable television.... cowboy bebop was one series I actually never saw believe it or not.... I know nothing about it... and while its on my "to get to" list, there are a number of titles before that one....

As for the time being I'm now watching Utawarerumono (I wonder if I spelled that right......) and though I almost gave up after a few episodes and wrote it off, I'm glad I didn't. I'm about 11 eps in and really digging this at the moment. Great one as far the fantasy stuff is concerned.

I'm also rewatching Sailor Moon-LoL! I'm also 11 eps in on that as of today and not really digging it.... the appeal of this one is purely nostalgic to me as it was the first anime I was ever exposed to.... Never did watch past season 2 though, so I guess I've got something to look forward to... then again maybe I don't.....

On deck I have Saiyuki, High School of the Dead, Clannad, Murder Princess, Gai Rei Zero, Eureka 7, Revolutionary Girl Utena and Magical Girl Lyrica......something or other.... full title escapes me at the moment..... anyhow, any suggestions as to what to dig into next out of that bunch?

I'm a big supporter of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. (I've recommended the show to some girls and guys and up to now everyone loved it)
The biggest problem with starting to watch it used to be the terrible and lolitastic season 1... but not anymore!

For maximum enjoyment I'd say watch "Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha - The Movie 1st" which is the improved movie version of the first season.
After that "Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's".
If you liked it and want to see more of the characters then check out "Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha  - Strikers", but be warned that season 3 is pretty average.
