Who had the bright idea of falling off the combat ring in the arena.
I keep falling off for the stupidest reasons

Me: Oh? I fell down? Better press Square to quickly get back up
*backflips to doom*

*Running around*
Me: Oh? I'm going to get attacked. I better block that.
*press Square*
Game: Square while running huh? That mean you want to jump huh?
*glorious leap into nothingness*

Is it just me, or does Elize act way younger than her age?  If I didn't read her character info Online, I'd swear she was 8 or 9 or so.  Even my 10 year-old cousin, who is also shy, acts older than she does.

Meanwhile, I was really surprised by Leia's maturity in certain scenes regarding Elize.  She's one who I would have expected to be older.

Well... (Chapter 1 & 2 spoilers - can't spoil later, not there yet)
Was your cousin locked inside a dark laboratory for most of her early life then restricted to a dark basement? Also, nearly no human interaction.

Not really zealously defending the plot, but it's at the very least possible that her mental growth isn't anywhere near a normal child.

I haven't seen the movie; are you talking about taiko drums?

Maybe the "Taiko Drum Master" arcade game OST?

The boyfriend has invited a bunch of his work friends over to play Dungeons and Dragons on Sunday, and apparently I'm supposed to play. ;-;

I dunno how I feel about this. I've never played anything like that, and I especially haven't roleplayed.

Unless his friends are jerks, it's fine to suck at it at first. It's a trained skill more than anything.
You also get better at it the more you play your character because it gets defined.

Me and my friends played a game of Exalted that lasted 5 years. By the end, we knew each of our character like an old friend.

Sometimes it's difficult to make out what they're shouting during battle, though. Force Wave didn't sound like Force Wave the first time I heard it, more like "For- --a-". Which didn't make much sense, considering it's a move where Alvin empties his gun and Jude gets creative with his fists.

I said this earlier and I was totally serious.
Whenever I do Demonic Chaos (Jude + Alvin), I hear DEMONIC HAM!
I'm not sure why...

I'm going to feel stupid if everyone else figured this out already, but if not here's a handy tip for combat:

If you're linked to someone and you open the Artes menu, it will have link symbols next to the moves that currently allow Linked Artes. Just figured this out in the mine with Jude and Leia. Now I actually stand a chance at getting the Linked Arte Chain titles.

In the menu, select "Arts" and your character then press either start or select (not sure) and it will show you every combination of every move for your character.

It's like the Strawberry Shortcake "characters named after food" trope made about 20% cooler.

Reminds me of Galaxy Angel which does the same.

As for gameplay, the game lets you control another character as soon as you get one.

Since it's not covered specifically (not that I've seen), the character you want to control should be put in the top slot in the menu.
Use the Square button to swap.

My problem with auto Item is the AI behavior seems to only be on or off, you can't define how the auto Items should be used, unless I'm missing something.

Did you go in the menu for it?

Yup, that's where I got the comedy club game.
It's not great, but it's worth it for that price.

(Surprisingly, it's made by Capcom too)

Speaking of the AI: why is it that nearly every jRPG out there has a boss that burrows and comes out doing major damage while the AI runs around like beheaded chickens?

I mean, you just need to add a condition to the AI: If nothing targetable on the battlefield -> block.

Those who fought the boss know which one I'm talking about and the AI keeps getting brutalized for about 200 damage a hit. Contrarily, since I block, I am taking less than 40 (hard guard is good)

How.....wha.......huh.......I mean......wait......but how.....fuck?

Her then-boyfriend, who she'd met online, tipped off the criminals in exchange for a paltry $500.

Hahahaha! What a fucking retard.
