2086  Media / Game Journals / Re: Final RPGFantasy VI on: February 01, 2014, 12:19:40 PM

Banon: What? No, not Ashton... I'm talking about the War of the Magi.
Ashton: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Liz: (what is this shiver I feel?)

Klutz: \( ̄ヮ ̄)/
Liz: (v・_・)v

Eusis: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF  (╬゚◥益◤゚)

Ashton: *nudge nudge*
Eusis: (◣益◢)
Ashton: You're new here so I'll tell you; she's doomed as long as she stays near that guy.

Liz, in her great wisdom, thinks up a great way to diffuse the situation.

... not helping Liz.

Ashton: (Like a boss) (⌐■_■)

Everyone finally calms down.

Ashton: Speaking of which Liz, where IS that crown of yours? ლ(⌒_⌒ლ)
Liz: Huh? I left it at t..

Ashton: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF (╯ಠ益ಠ)╯︵ ┻━┻

I stand by that Larsa should have been the REAL bad guy.
That would have been a genius plot twist.

**** me, I forgot:

Strike the Blood
Vampire action ecchi works for me (in order of importance)

and

Wake Up Girls
A bit sad about how quick things are progressing (they are already on TV at episode 3...)

and

Nourin
Up to now, very funny. Another gag show that I'll watch as long as I think it's funny.

---

That's a grand total of 18 shows. Deeyam

EDIT: GODDAMMIT... I forgot Log Horizon.
19 anime

Cyan is holding his 'katana' while Locke and Shadow only 'wield' small 'daggers'.

I never realized before... but there's something really suspicious about that hand placement on the guys.

So I've been meaning to write this for a while: this season is really good.
I don't think I've ever followed this many show in a single season.

Continued from last season:

Space Brothers
... I think I've talked enough about this show here by now.

Magi 2
More Magi is good Magi. The current arc is about to get action pumped.

Gin no Saji 2
As good as season 1 which was as good as the manga. Very easy to like.

New season:

Saki: Zenkoku-hen
Other than the temporal WTF of the first 3 episodes, I'm enjoying this a lot. Easily the best mahjong anime ever (not that there's much competition)

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren
I'm actually not too sure why I'm watching this. It's not superb but it's clearly not bad. Maybe I just feel compelled because I watched season 1. I feel bad for the guy having a schizophrenic girlfriend... my bad, I meant 8th grader syndrome girlfriend.

New:

Sakura Trick
Yurilicious !!! I've seen porn that was less hot than this show. Very vanilla and cute.

Mikakunin de Shinkoukei
Pretty good show and the plot just thickened majorly with episode 4. The breast physics in the opening may or may not have influenced my global enjoyment of this show.

Z/X: Ignition
Reminds me of the old Digimon shows and I'm all for that.

D-Frag!
While I've never read the manga, I like the anime. It's funny enough to be a comedy show.

Witch Craft Works
Good show and the ending always kills me.

Space☆Dandy
This show is completely stupid. It goes far enough in the absurd to be funny.

Hamatora
Pretty cool setting. Interested in seeing more.

Wizard Barristers
From the guy who made Kite with the same awesome art style of Kite.

Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha
Pretty accurate to the manga. It's a lightweight comedy/romance.

Noragami
Haven't actually watched it yet, but it's on the to-do list. If anything like the manga, it should be good.

That would certainly make me consider a PS4.
My PS2, while still working, is elderly at this point.
2093  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: RPGFan Pokemon League on: January 30, 2014, 09:45:03 AM
I'll be a random crazy old man in a the park who says that "they just don't know how to make them anymore" and I'll have 6 pokemon from the original 150.

Probably Gaikai.

THEY SKIP TENRI'S ARC!?! WTF?

Look for "The World God Only Knows: Tenri-hen"
It's 2 OVAs.

Here's some more quick hits, check if it interests you.

Otaku no Musume-san
Battle Angel Alita
BioMeat
Molester Man (not what the title makes it sound like)

I can't imagine telling somebody new to manga to start with Negima...

He asked for must-reads, not baby's first manga =P

---

Mahou Sensei Negima
The beginning is pretty rough, but Ken Akamatsu really grew while working on this manga and at the midway point, it takes on an incredible turn that while keep you hooked until the end.

Mx0
The best manga ever made to be cut short and forced to have a lame ending. There's 2 version of it: the 1 chapter pitch and the actual publication (read both)

Shigurui
Not for everyone, but still an incredible manga. It's about samurai, honor and rivalry. This is akin to seeing someone fall into the tiger pen at the zoo and get mauled. It's terrible but for some reason, you can't look away.
2098  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Anime/Manga Journal on: January 29, 2014, 02:49:35 PM
How does one Manga.

Is there any must-reads?

WHY MUST YOU DROP THIS BOMBSHELL ON ME NOW !

(I will need to ponder long and hard on this before I give you a list)

You should use MyAnimeList to track what you've watched.

(says the guy who hasn't updated his in over a year...)
2100  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Gust making a spiritual successor to Ar Tonelico: Ar no Surge on: January 29, 2014, 11:35:54 AM
Given that women will obviously be sexualized in this game, I don't have any problem with them doing the same with the guy.
Fair's fair.
