I can't remember if FF8 was good anymore.  I downloaded it, but battles take soo long that exploiting and making it easy may be the only way I plan to beat it.

After the first two hours or so, basically any non-boss battle can be finished in the space of one turn. You don't HAVE to exploit FFVIII to make it easy.

But I spend 50 turns drawing his new shiny spell -_-

The saddest thing with Usagi Drop is that everyone who watched the anime have no idea about the second half of the story.

I have to say that while much of it remains pretty generic, game easily has my favorite soundtrack of the Arland trilogy.  I mean you've got stuff like this and this.  Although the real stand-outs seem to be limited to special scenes, sadly.  Like the fantastic opening, this wonderful little piece, and this.

For once the soundtrack CD that came with my limited edition is actually getting some seriously playtime.

I don't know much about the game, but I know this song is pretty unique alright: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHNTntvWENQ
Sounds like some kind of retro anime song.

So I finally finished Yakuza 4 and I think the best way to resume my experience is What a game!
I must say that the last superfight was incredible. I really like it when games have an amazing climax at the end and this one delivered.

Even though I said I just finished it... I kinda started another game already on Hard.
Time to date all those hostesses with my New Game+ big pile of money.

FFXIII-2 really didn't use that in a way that was interesting for the most part, even being blatantly game-y to the point where it's actually NOT better for fun, IE paradoxes being "cleared" by just going to an area and clearing it, even if there seems to be no real connection like you'd see with Chrono Trigger.

So you don't sneak alone into a portal; not wanting anyone else to see the terrible sin of that past you'll be trying to prevent on a certain NPC who you wondered why she was always on a chair only for you to realize that she actually couldn't get up since she was crippled entirely due to one of your character's childhood mistake which she regrets every day of her life?

I sort of recall the protagonist looking like he was dressed and ready to Chrono Breakdance his way through time to save Schala

And now I want a silly JRPG where random encounter are you and your foes battling in a breakdance competition.

I love how the current season is nearly over and nobody said anything about it...
Tame season this is. Very very tame...

DH in Inferno is strong but sucks to play as far as I know.
You gear up for discipline and DPS.
Meaning you spam SS (Smoke Screen) that makes you untargetable for 1 sec (1.5 sec runed) in which you proceed to murder everything with your DPS.
Rince & repeat.
Other than that, you walk around with 12,000 HP and get one-shot by everything you didn't see coming (oh hello Terror Demons)

Season 2 will make you see why Nanoha really is the best magical girl out there.
All hail the white devil !

Did the Chinese just take out the whole Diablo 3 site?

EDIT: for those wondering, the US forum was bombarded by Chinese people posting about problems. I guess they IP blocked them because it stopped when it came back up.

Finished Part 2 of Yakuza 4 yesterday.
Part 1 was definitively more interesting, but there were some shining moments in Part 2 too.
I guess my biggest problem is that exploration is harder because of the police in Act 3 and 4 and I mostly gave up on it.
I'm also not a big fan of Saejima's fighting style, but I have to say he's a beast in one VS one boss battles.
