I watched episode 1 of Dog Days. I'm sure the show will be awful and retarded but I'll probably watch the whole thing just because the princess is so darn adorable.

Tiger and Bunny is the most promising show up to now.

I don't know, I didn't watch the entire thing, but I assume there's tons of sex happening in his little shota butt.

You mean Yaoi? If they aren't into male on male action and what something more male-female orientated I'm sure they have their own versions of it.

Boku no Pico is the only gay hentai I know of.
Stupid trap -_-#

How about a shining Force compilation?
That'd be cool.

Nope, just like the music industry here, the actual author makes nearly nothing. Worst, they don't get money for concert or publicity.
That's why you've never really heard of a stinking rich manga artist.

Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen (on PS3, not a shitty handheld port)
3233  The Rest / General Discussions / RPG Game Designing - the Penultimate Guide on: April 03, 2011, 03:58:32 PM
I believe most of us here have played hundreds of games. With such accumulated experience, let us reference the basics of good game designing (be it the 'do's or the 'don't's).

Article I: Party balancing in regards to gender

The cast of characters is something very prominent within a game. Although the story and setting can modify the common basic rules, one should try and stay as close as possible to them.

When designing the cast, there should be an equal number of men and women (unless as said above the setting does not permit it - ie: a Sailor Moon game). If the game features character classes or types of characters, there should be as much as possible a male and female character for each. This permits the player to create either a mixed gender party or a single gender party while retaining balance.
A common error is to split roles between sex. Many times have games put males into tank/physical damage roles while female were support/magical damage roles.
In reality, either a man or a woman can take about equal amounts of wounds before dying and so a physical female should not be a taboo nor should she be brittle as glass.

Examples of good party balancing:
Star Ocean 3
Although the game has an imbalance between male/female toughness, there is a female and male exception to balance it. An all male or all female party is still very balanced.
3 male tank characters, 1 female tank character
1 male light fighter, 3 female light fighters
1 male mage, 1 female mage

Dragon Age 2
1 hero (variable), 2 rogues (1 male, 1 female), 2 warriors (1 male, 1 female) 2 mages (1 male, 1 female) + extras (1 male sibling, 1 female sibling, 1 DLC male rogue)

Examples of bad party balancing:
Ogre Battle 64
Every male class are tough, mostly tanks or physical damagers. No male healers.
Every female class are fragile, mostly mages or supports. Not a single good front row class.

Valkyrie Profile 2
Every heavy warrior male, every light warrior female, every mage male, every archer (but one, but he uses a modified female model =/) female

Aren't there like 30 men for every woman in Alaska?

Guess what guys?  I'm moving!! LOL

You know what happens when the male ratio is too high don't you?
I know some old military folks; Navy stories and submarine stories are true.

God he looked better as pixels.
3236  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: The NEW Game Journal on: April 02, 2011, 06:48:40 PM
I just beat 3rd Birthday. The ending was well uh I have no idea. But it had 2 naked girls hugging each other at one point so it wasn't all bad.

How was the game overall? It's been getting average to bad reviews.

The game itself was great. It mixed shooter combat and RPG developement quite nicely, but the story is just one big let down. If you haven't played the other PEs I'd definetly recommend it, but if you have played them then I'd advise you to tread cautiously cause the story will leave you with a bad aftertaste.

If square keeps killing their IP, what will they do?
God knows their new IP also went down the drain.

If they ever destroy the Chrono name *shakes fist*

X2 was the best one for me.
Then again, I've missed a lot of them after.

Ever think that maybe you were too far in the game at level 20 and perhaps quests were inaccessible to you because of your low number?

I'm level 48, though I haven't played in a while. Most of my friends stopped too.

Dr. Wily's castle theme from Megaman 2.  I love that.

Using a quote box + black text so that it doesn't look awful when you read the big chunk of text.

Quote
Ok, humanity in code geass are entities with consciousness separated out of the global consciousness. Charles wanted to slay god because he could then return humanity into a single consciousness and thus end most of the world's problems since we'd be only one entity (war, greed, lies).
For that he needed 2 things, the weapon to slay god, which he build (Sword of Akasha) and he needed a code.
To have a code, one must take it from another person who has the code. To inherit the code, you also need to be a geass user who maxed his geass.
Why did he need a code? Because to go and slay god, he needed to go to the world of the global consciousness (the world of C) which can only be accessed by code wielders or if sent there by someone who has the code. VV who is Charles' brother gave him his code.

VV was jealous of Charles because he also loved Marianne. Under the self delusion that Marianne was distracting Charles, he murdered her. Marianne was also a geass wielder (since VV can give geass to anyone he wants to technically). Her geass was to transfer herself into someone else's body. When she was murdered, a young girl was at her mansion for etiquette lessons, so she transferred to the little girl and stayed alive that way. VV never knew this, but Charles did.

Now, for the above plan, the more codes they had, the better. So in the original plan, Marianne was to receive CC's code. CC agreed to this because her wish is to get rid of her code and not be immortal anymore (thus be able to finally die).

At the big confrontation, Lelouch and Suzaku deny the new world Charles wants to create since they believe individuality is important. Lelouch gathers CC support by telling her he will take her code eventually and let her die while smiling .
Now, Lelouch was against his father who had a code, and thus was immortal. Thus he defeated him by using his (just happened to hit max level right at that moment) geass to order god to recall Charles and Marianne into the global consciousness only... and that's what happened.
