- The shift of turn-based to real-time combat (who the fuck waits when you're fighting, ahmeanreallynow, who?)

There's something to be said for abstraction than treating everything "realistically", but it's good to have variety regardless.

I didn't mean it that way.  I'm just not a fan of simple turn-by-turn methods of fighting.  It's one thing if it's for tactics, but I'd rather something that means quicker and more hands-on thinking, then sitting and waiting.

Not sure, I always loved Ogre Battle for their real time tactics (so yeah SNES and N64 ones)
A shame that nobody copied it.

I don't have GTA4, but every time I see a graphic mod of it, I drool for a minute.

Ok, why was my black pepper in the fridge?
Either I'm becoming stupider or I'm sleepwalking =/

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Phoenix Wright brings his legal expertise to "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3"!

I kept waiting for a "lol, it's a joke" to pop-up the whole video... didn't happen.

EDIT: lol, this would have actually made more sense: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovqYktZQKh0

Goichi Suda’s title "Maiden Liberation" is a 3D shooter where you play as a high school girl who also happens to be the President of Japan. You pilot a humanoid mech and blast divine beasts that are draining your country’s energy.

So it's basically like Metal Wolf Chaos, but with a Japanese schoolgirl? How can that not be hilarious?

That would be a good marketing move.

EDIT: and by that I mean, cameo her, or show her just a bit. I doubt they'd put her completely in since learning who she is is the reason why most people would buy the Vita version.

Nobody seems to have said so, but the game actually came out on the 8th instead of the 11th for some unknown reason.
I'll probably go get it this weekend as I can't say no to a game with beaches and hoes.

I've started gaming this semester by replaying the games I played last school semester....  I don't know what to say for myself.

Just convince yourself you're stuck in a timeloop.

Oh no! It's Endless 8 all over again!

There's nothing to 'challenge'. If you are Japanese (or have studied the culture), you'll get the jokes. If you aren't, you will miss some/most.

Here's an example:

Me and 2 other guys were translating a one-shot chapter and one of the joke was about the writing style of an author whose book is read by most Japanese school children.

It took us 2 entire weeks to even understand the joke through tons of research, and in the end, we just wrote a new joke over it, stating in the credits that if they want the original joke, they should be able to read the untranslated version. Else it's pretty much impossible to get it.

Zombie movie shoot accident hurts 16 in Toronto

It's a sad event, but the last sentence is pretty funny.

Emergency workers said their jobs were made more difficult by the fact that the injured were dressed like zombies, which made it hard to determine which injuries were real.

Went to EB games to see if I could find anything descently priced.
Yakuza 59.99$
Child of Eden 37.99$ USED

... I need to start shopping elsewhere.

Now with computer and TV + consoles in the same room. It's wiring hell, but so much awesome =)

Back then, I was desperate for a jRPG and had only a 360. Even with those circumstances... I couldn't play this for more than 5 hours before never touching it again.

and yeah, the twins are creepy as hell. Worst is, the cast up to that point is so shitty, I was actually using them ;_;

I get the reasons why people wouldn't like a Bethesda game but it's totally my style and I'm psyched

I'd like elder scrolls more if it didnt have that godawful leveling system. I've always hated that.

If you're talking about what I think you're talking, Skyrim got rid of it.
