Mr. Shepard(I refuse to call you by that J name. it's just...weird. ), you've got me a bit confused. If you don't believe in anything, you're an atheist. You don't have to accept the label, but that's what you are. Trust me on this. I'm a bit of an expert on the subject. Unfortunately, the label has gotten a bit of a stigma over the years, thanks to the religious masses. I am an atheist, but rarely call myself that. I prefer Realist, actually, but it's all the same in the end. Labels.
I don't get this "scientist" business.  You are most certainly not a scientist. You can say that you prefer to follow science and what is provable over unproven religion, faith, and gods, but please don't call yourself a scientist. Perhaps after you get the degree, huh?

I thought that atheists reject the existence of god and god like things? That's different than not believing in anything

No, it's not. If you don't believe in god/gods you are an atheist. Like I said, you don't have to accept the label, but that is what you are. It's not even a belief like some religious types try and say. It just tends to go hand in hand with the whole science/reality thing.

Again... you said "atheists believe in nothing." That's totally different than rejecting god and the possibility of the existence of god, or not believing in god. An atheist can still "believe in something" such as evolution, or fucking chaos theory or something else.

I believe there are no answers.

So everyone sit the fuck down, light up a fatty, crack a beer, and play some videogames.

I think I made it out big.

I bought my PS3 online last week from best buy. Came w/ a 50 buck GC to be mailed. (I picked up the ps3 in store).

Then I saw this coupon

http://image.emailinfo2.bestbuy.com/lib/fef41d77766c04/m/21/BBY_PS3Cpn_20110614.pdf

Well I printed it out, packed up the PS3, and went to the store.

Told her my situation, even that I had a 50 buck GC in the mail, and she hooked me up. Returned the PS3 to a GC, bought a new one w/ the GC and I get my ps3 and a 100 buck GC plus the 50 buck GC in the mail. As far as I know she didn't do anything to cancel that.

My karma is clear because I told her about the 50 buck GC in the mail.

My god the blackjack II has to be the sturdiest phone ever. Mine is about 3 years old and has survived numerous drops and such.

Well last month I dropped it into a toilet bowl (fell out of a shallow pocket).

Just now I dropped it into a gallon of paint (fell off the top of the ladder and plopped right in)

Cleaned it off, basically drenched in paint and water, and it works now. The only issue is that when the screen is supposed to black out it just goes white and flickers.

oh well!

Ok last week I bought the PS3 online at best buy w/ in store pick up. This included a $50 gift card that they're mailing to me.

Sure as shit this week they have a deal with a $100 gift card. Now I know they have a pretty decent return policy, but I don't have any experience in getting these kinds of returns and deals.

Advice?

Two haps updates:

1) Awesome dinner tonight. Steak on the grill w/ a spicy BBQ rub. Grilled asparagus added into a great risotto (+1 made that. I suck ad risotto) with lemon and mint. red zinfandel

2) Last week we had some big thunderstorms. The day after my mom texted me "hope you survived the storm!" I was going to text back "automated response #249: This user is currently *deceased*" But I just knew my mom would've believed it too real and freaked out. So I texted "I'm good. How you doin?"

Thanks, Pat! The current plan is running around Glasgow for a bit then heading back to my place to bake cakes and do some gaming. :D She is bringing her friend as well, so two new people.

A baking/rpg date? I'm farging jealous.

i'm currently reading "how the world ends: the road to a nuclear world war 3"

pretty interesting. it talks about how there were plenty of near misses and close calls in history with nuclear exchanges

As a new PS3 owner I just wanted to decree my enthusiasm for the new team ico releases.

I hope we get a sexy bundle of ico/colossus in a metal case

Good to hear the last two were enjoyable. I'll relay your findings to +1 as she's the most eager to read the last two.

I think Katniss rules, so I'm going to see this through.

I'm painting a room and drinking some beer. Earlier I installed a new exhaust fan/light in the bathroom. That was a pain in the ass.

*sigh* Lazlowe is a guy, to end the confusion.

In other news, meeting up with someone from RPGamer on Saturday. THE ENEMY. I kid, should be fun though I am always nervous about meeting people for the first time.

Did you send that person this picture, so they can identify you?

leave it to you lot to absolutely ruin a HAPS thread. Holy shit.

Here's the basic structure of a HAPS post

Ok so this morning I got up and went to go feed the cats. I noticed some cat throw-up on the floor. I got some shit to clean it and upon closer inspection... it wasn't cat hair... it wasn't chunks of food...IT WAS SHIT.

ONE OF MY CATS HAD EATEN IT'S OWN SHIT then threw it up.

What a dummy
