I loved the 3 Stooges as a kid. There was one where they tried to do 3D (i'm not sure if it actually was originally) and they did the throwing stuff at that camera like every scene.

Now that I'm older... I appreciate the Marx Bros. more :)

It's the cave type place you go to that's locked to begin with. NE of the 1st Castle

God I won't be able to compare with SMG's recaps.

Curse my bloody lack of talent.

If my kid pulled this shit I'd make him read all his books and give reports before playing the Wii.

This is one of the most amazing things otherwise... so godamn cool.  I want like 80 of them.

1 rabbit, about 3 pounds, cut up
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup chopped celery
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon salt
dash pepper
1 bay leaf
4 cups water
4 cups dry red wine
2 cups diced carrots
4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
4 ounces sliced mushrooms, sauteed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup water

Star = Fighter, Yoda
Monk, Chips (a buddy of mine)
White Mage, Karin (my +1)
Black Mage, Bart (our dumb male cat who's stupid and blind and is terrified of me unless I'm sitting on the couch)

I won't be using any walkthrough guides.

And I actually started playing yesterday but didn't start a thread.

It's a fast fucking game. But at one point I had 9 one-step random encounters.

I got to the earth gift shrine and got killed because two of my dudes got turned to stone and i didn't have any gold needles. Well I had to reboot an earlier save and hit up every town to find one.

I proceeded to buy up like 10 of them.

LO!

The beginning is nigh upon us, my friends of the four fiends

I have in my possession the 1st two games on PSP and shall begin my quest shortly. I'll be keeping track of minutia as I see fit.

This will not be a strict marathon per se but I shall be tackling the series in order up until game 6. If I still have my sanity I will be going from there and playing 7 and on.

There are no rules, but I'll play other things on other systems here and there.

Come back to this thread for hilarious recaps of games you've all played already.

It's kinda cute in a way, but it reeks of a manipulating adult.

I have all their albums and seen them live twice before you posted that /hipster
5728  Media / Brush and Quill / Re: Book Thread Continued on: December 23, 2010, 11:04:33 AM
I will for sure read the 1st three since people cream over those, but not until I'm done with WoT. There's no way I'm reading two similar and lengthy fantasy stories at the same time.

When i'm done w/ WoT #1 I'll either read murakami's a wild sheep chase, whatever my +1 got me for xmas (i don't know what but i can tell it's a book in my STOCKING), or something else

I really enjoy WoT so far but it's clear that the author is in no rush. It's like you're at grandpeppy's house and he's telling a tale.

He's at some hipster record shop w/ an arcade to promote a re-opening. He will be teaching a Donkey Kong class and attempting to break the world record.

I already signed up for the class.

No animated gifs of any kind can express my nerd excitement.

I'm watching LoTR. Love the books and movies soooo much. But goddamn are the Ringwraiths the worst bad guys ever?

"Ew I don't want to get wet!"

"Hobbits aren't in this room...nah lets not search across the street or whatever"

"We're undead kings, but this one guy w/ a torch is too much to handle, PEACE OUT"

I watched Perrier's Bounty and Logan's Run today.  Both weren't that great.  Perrier's Bounty had its moments for sure, and I think the father character is by far the best, but overall it wasn't all that impressive.  Unfortunate because I really like Cillian Murphy and Brendan Gleeson.  Logan's Run was just shit though.  There is only one scene that I thought was any good and even that was only marginally good.  Overall it was just really stupid.  I couldn't figure out what the movie was trying to say and I think it wasn't trying to say anything but look really pretty which may have been great back in 76 but it is obviously quite dated today.

I saw Logan's Run as a kid. Thought the chick was hot
