I just made some mac 'n cheese, slightly dry.

You know what I'm talking about. You put in a little less milk or butter than it calls for so that the dried cheese doesn't fully melt. That way you get awesome chunks of cheese powder.

Just returned home. I was asked to teach the afternoon class as well as the morning class, and I agreed because the girl who teaches the afternoon class was in Poland. Not a single person turned up, so I'm pretty miffed as I had spent most of the night printing off worksheets and making email accounts for them.

You're a teacher? And a math teacher at that? You're doinbg my homework from now on.

I'm a volunteer worker :P I teach an IT course every Friday for unemployed people who have no experience with computers. Your on your own for math, I'm afraid.

Repeat after me, class:

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

@dice

I'm gonna go pinch a loaf. When I get back, this is all gone, right?

One of my favorite lines...mainly b/c it's censored from the tv broadcasts for some reason

I hate how I feel right now.  Last few days I've just been incredibly uneasy my finances and work.  I managed to tick off one friend and another one is annoying me beyond high heaven.  Not a good mix.

Sorry yo.

I'm riding a shitty financial roller coaster too.

Why do you have 2 unopened copies of P3?

that's the future of gaming it seems. I think bad company 2 had something similar.

That's what I love about portal. Occasionally you get stuck, but once you figure it out you don't feel cheated.

There were 2 or 3 where I was stuck for a few minutes. I can't remember the level/chamber exactly. I'll look it up and report back to see if those gave anyone else a hard time.

I posted on the RPGfan fb page that this is starting to be more exciting for me than skyrim.

Skyrim will be amazing but this represents something new for me since I have a 360 and missed out on the first game.

And a limited edition for the same price as a new game? Total RPG hardon

Not knowing your situation you should never rule out going back to school.

I recently went back to school and it saved me from a life of minimum wage jobs and dead end careers.

I say do whatever you can to find a place that suits you. If you don't need more school to get a job that makes you happy then that's fine.

When I went back there were people younger than me and older than me in school. I know all this sounds corny but it's increasing difficult to get anywhere w/o some sort of degree. My cousin is awesome w/ computers and has a lot of experience to put on a resume for networking and IT stuff, but because he doesn't have a degree he's constantly passed up for people that do and relegated to temp help. (though he has been working for Playboy for a while :) )

My advice: go back to school, take out loans, do whatever. You don't want to be in your 60s with bad insurance, no retirement options, and doing manual labor.

That one day in March when it was really low must have killed you... the next day when you were back to normal.

I'm under the impression that it was the Wii Fit board having a bad day that time and not me.

Thanks for all the congrats and encouragement all. This is probably the slimmest I've been at out of something like 10 years, so I hope I can at least keep my weight the way it is.

I'm around 5'10" myself. I got started on my weight loss purely through controlling my diet. I signed up for one of those diet things (In my case, Nutrisystem) and stuck to it pretty strictly for a few months...In retrospect, there's a lot of things I did incorrectly while losing weight, in particular a lack of exercise. I'm trying to change that around now. I eat way more now than when I started my diet, but I also exercise more. Hopefully, that will get rid of my unsightly belly over time.

If you're into eating healthy and like cooking check out recipes by mark bittman. Good shit. Not all of his stuff is "diet" food but it should all be healthy enough
